Deamon and Rhaenyra already have two boys, Aegon and Viserys, the two babies that they have introduced to King Viserys when they arrived at kings landing episode 8. Together they had 7 children: Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey from Rhaenyra and "Laenor"; Baela and Rhaena from Daemon and Laena; and Aegon and Viserys from Rhaenyra and Daemon.
At the start of the episode, Rhaenyra only wanted PEACE for the realm. Now, upon hearing about the death of her youngest son, Rhaenyra only wants the realm IN PIECES! lol
@@itsthatgirl98_ If my son died the same way that Luke died, my first reaction would be: "Where the hell did a freaking DRAGON come from??" lol In all seriousness, in the "Game of Thrones" universe, children are generally war fodder anyway. But I already know from reading the book that this is what starts the war, so it's pretty inevitable.
Actually, believe it or not Arrax could’ve outran Vhaegar in the open sky. Due to his smaller size hes able to be faster than Vhaegar. But the problem here is that the heavy winds and rain were weighing Arrax down while Vhaegar being a much bigger and stronger dragon was hardly affected by the rain and winds
I thought Aemond said it was a fair trade. "I lost an eye but I gained a dragon." Vhagar is over 100 years older than Arrax. Arrzax was literally just at riding age so he was a young dragon. She was one of the original three dragons to conquer Westeros. Viscerion as a white fought both Rhaegal and chased Drogon with blue fire in The Long Night in Game of Thrones but this was way cooler.
In the book, the Baratheon daughters hyped him up like "You got your eye cut out by that little boy and you're not gonna do anything? Wow okaaaay." and he definitely killed him on purpose.
@@seanyoung9014 I believe specifically Aemond ranked them and chose the one he considered most beautiful. After Luke is escorted out, the one he said was ugliest says something like "You lost your eye to that little boy? You think me ugly? Look at you. I am glad you didn't choose me. Who would want to be with a man that isn't even whole." And then yeah that made him quite upset.
actually, rhaenyra's stillborn child is a girl. in the book she's named visenya before they burn her. she also has dragon features which the show did do but it's hard to tell
"The idea that one can control a dragon is merely an illusion" is something that Viserys said in the beginning of this season and in a way it also ties to what Dany said in GoT "A dragon is not a slave". The battle between Aemond, Vhagar and Lucerys and Arrax got me on my edge of my seat. When you bond with a dragon, you somehow share or have a connection between them in feelings. Which was why perhaps Luke had calmed Arrax before he flew off, he probably knew Arrax was feeling tensed and afraid like him. When Aemond and Vhagar pursued Luke and Arrax, Arrax had fought back because he probably felt threatened as his rider was anxious and scared too. This somehow triggered Vhagar to fight back as well, as Vhagar is an old legendary dragon who has fought many wars, she might have thought that Arrax meant to attack her, and considering how a small dragon could do that to her, she was triggered to attack back. It's such a tragedy. Aemond only chased Luke to intimidate him, he never meant to have him killed. And Luke was only a young boy, too young but he wanted to prove his worth and ended up like that. A war is always a double-edged sword and now that Aemond is a kinslayer, the war will start. Whether who comes out prevailed in the war, both sides will lose part of themselves and that's just sad. And yes, soundtrack for HotD has been spectacular and amazing!! I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT SEASON TOO~!
There’s a thought that Rhaenyra doesn’t want anyone to help her give birth because she heard from maesters that her giving birth as of the moment is not normal and therefore dangerous. She doesn’t want to end up like her mother so she doesn’t let anyone help or get near her.
Such a great finale! And I love that the showrunners have stated "How to Train Your Dragon" as inspiration for the chase/fight at the end. 2024 is so far away! TEAM BLACK!
8:33 _"…that would've been Daemon and hers [Rhaenyra] first one together, right?"_ 🐲 Nope. Remember, they introduced the two they had to *Viserys* in episode 8.
The dragon to whom Daemon is singing is Vermithor, a huge dragon nicknamed The Bronze Fury. Vermithor was hatched after his egg was laid in the cradle of Daemon & Viserys' grandfather Jaehaerys; the dragon and the prince-turned-young-king bonded and grew up together. Vermithor took no other rider since the Old King died, came back to Dragonstone and retired to the caves. His girlfriend Silverwing is sleeping down the hall; she was the dragon ridden by Jaehaerys' sister-wife Queen Alysanne.
Which is why he reacted in such a visceral way. He didn't believe in dreams like his brother and feels that they were Viserys' downfall, and he sees Rhaenera believing them and it scares him, and then realizing that his brother never truly saw him as heir, even when he technically WAS the heir.
We did actually see a dragon fight in Game of Thrones. It was between Drogon, Rhaegar and Viserion. It wasn't as epic as the one in this episode, but it was pretty badass, despite almost the entire fight being hard to see.
Aemond might look badass af, but in my book : he's blind if he loses another eye, and gonna have to channel some Zatoichi, Daredevil, Chirrut Imwe (from Rogue One) or Baba Voss (from See) type of skills ! 😅
Luke’s dragon was a baby. It was freaked out by the thunder and lightning and wind. That’s why Luke was talking to it and trying to calm it down. If not for the storm, Arrax would’ve outwitted V’ghar. This reviewer doesn’t get Rhaenyra at all. She would make an excellent Queen.
Actually, Arrax' best chance of survival was through flying above the storm, where his speed and dexterity gave him his only advantage over Vhagar. Below, in the wind and rain, Arrax could not fly as fast and maneuver as effectively.
Notice that during the scene with Rhaenyra and Corlys you can see one of the lords that swore for her at kings landing last episode so Otto didn’t just have them all killed
That would have been there third child together! Aegon II, Viserys II, and the third child would have been a girl, named Visenya. (Aegon for the Conqueror, Viserys ofr her father, and Visenya who was one of Aegon's sisters wives.)
I don’t agree but GOT required so much exposition to be immersed in this world that THOTD is easier to absorb bc we already been here and are familiar. But the killing of Ned was just so shocking that first season that it’s crazy and really set off a lot of series’ willing to kill off major characters
"She was my only daughter and they killed her, they stole my crown and murdered my daughter, they shall answer for it." - Rhaenyra Targaryen on Fire and Blood book
The sadness and anger at the end. Actress playing rhaenyra is so great! And the score is just perfect. All actors in this show are so good. The young and old.
House of the dragon was incredible!! My favorite series in a decade. Brilliant writing and fantastic character development. Greatest franchise of all time
I'm 38 years old, and I have never once in my life watched a show as it aired each week, I've always waited until at least the whole season was out, sometimes the whole show. Until now. I was sitting there every Sunday night waiting for it to show up!
Poor Rhaenyra lost so much her birthright was stolen from her, her father died, she lost her baby due to stillbirth and lost her 2nd oldest son. Alicent took a misunderstanding and made a lie out of it so they actually lied about the succession and Otto Hightower murdered innocent people who is loyal to Rhaenyra also forced people into the dragonpits just to crown Aegon. Technically Rhaenyra's is more official because she did not force people and she was named heir to the throne and the whole realm sworn an oath to her back in episode 1. Borros Baratheon broke an House Baratheon oath literally by denying Queen Rhaenyra. I also understand why Rhaenyra send her children to be messengers realm was still in peace so the chance for something bad to happen was very scarce also Rhaenys and Daemon was not able to go themselves they already had their own tasks to do. Hell the chance for Aemond to already been at storms end is very small, because he could have easily been at Tarly's or at the starks instead. Aemond started the war and he knows it.
Did you notice that Lord Borros Baratheon was illiterate? He had to have his Maester read Rhaenyra's message, who only whispered the message in his ear. And the message wasn't written by Rhaenyra, it was written by her Maester, who said he would prepare the ravens unprompted. Rhaenyra told Luke that Lord Baratheon was a proud man. She would never have told her Maester to "remind him of his father's oath." One or both of these Maesters manipulated the situation in the Hightowers' favor. There's a lot of evidence, in the show and books, that suggest the most of the Maesters are involved in a conspiracy to destroy first the dragons, then the Targaryens.
I think this theory is plausible. Not completely convinced yet, but, those Maesters + Hightowers would have justified amongst themselves to undo House Targaryen from within.
Vhagar is a War dragon, so for aemond to mess around like that is not ok, vhagar was mad from that fire hit & he can feel how aemond was pisst so as a war dragon of course he ate him.
Not a boy, Rhaenyra was going to have her first daughter named Visenya, but she was born dead, deformed, twisted, with a hole where her heart was supposed to be and a dragon tail with scales. In the book she was in labor for 3 days.
One thing I don't understand - it's so cold inside the keep that the characters' breath is visible; and Rhaenyra is wearing a sleeveless shift and giving birth in the open air rather than inside a chamber where there can be fires lighted to provide warmth?
teamdaemon because he is the only one who knows that the hightowers have been the problem from the beginning he told his brother I will take care of anyone but his brother I never trust him and there is the result that is what I like about daemon's character because that he can be good or bad with anyone but the only thing that matters to him is his family and he does everything possible to protect them
Aemond didn’t “start” the war however he is totally at fault for Lucerys death. Intimidate the young lad sure, give him a good chase sure, but the moment you lost him in that ravine there’s no reason to keep looking for him. Just goes to show that Viserys was right about the illusion that they control the dragons they don’t. Or they don’t even at least realize and understand dragon behavior yet
Regret that we won’t get season 2 until 2024. While I don’t want HBO to pull a Marvel and overwhelm us with all the spin-offs, it might have been prudent to have the first season of one of them ready for 2023 to keep fans occupied until HOTD returns. In the interim, if you want some Westeros content I recommend either reading the main A Song of Ice and Fire books (which Game of Thrones is based on) or “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”. Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a collection of short stories that one of the future shows will adapt. It’s about a wandering knight named Duncan the Tall and his squire “Egg”/Prince Aegon (one of Jon’s and Dany”s ancestors). The series follow Dunk and Egg’s misadventures (ie Dunk having several romantic encounters that result in him being the ancestor of Brienne and possibly Hodor’s) as they inadvertently do what Rhaenyra is doing and indirectly setting up the events of Game of Thrones
So good! Vahgar is a girl btw:) No worries, alot of people think she's a male. I thought so too at first. Vahgar is one of the 3 dragons that were part of Aegons Conquest. Balarion, Vahgar, and Meraxes.
Note :Not out of the storm he is out of control And arrax is a baby dragon same age of lucarys so the dragon is frightened so it’s gone fly up And that dragon deamon gone to calm by song was second living dragon in HOTD Jaehaerys’s dragon grandfather of vieserys
The translation has been confirmed thanks to the language's creator, David J. Peterson (via Archive Of Our Own). In it, it is revealed that the name of the song Daemon sings to Vermithor is "With Three Heads". Check the English translation: Fire breathes, winged leader but two heads For a third to sing From my voice: The fires spoke And the price has been paid with blood magic With words of fire with clear eyes To tie the three for you i sing As one we come together And with three heads We'll fly like we were meant to beautifully, freely In the book Aemond he kills Luke and because he wanted not to and as he is showing in the series that he is sorry, the name of Rhaenyra's baby would be a girl and her name would be visenya In the book Aemond he kills Luke because he wants to and when he gets home he celebrates and Aegon and alicent they celebrate luke's death different from the series they put it as an accident that the Two lost control of the dragons in the book there is no such thing as losing control of the dragons they spoiled everything in the series but anyway Aemond killed Luke he could have prevented it It was just him not following Luke but that asshole Aemond went after the kid now he's going to bear all the consequences now l' m wondering how they are they going to do this in the series because in the book the greens are all happy with luke's death for alicent, aegon and even aemond so i'm wondering how they are going to do it in the series because the writers put it as if it was an accident and that aemond didn't wanted to kill Luke unlike the book where he kills Luke because he wants to, I didn't like that much they did it just to make people feel sorry for the greens in my opinion, In the book Aemond kills Luke because he wanted to kill Luke different from the series that showed that it was an "Accident" but depending on how Aemond was and blamed for Luke's death he could have avoided it An example was just he didn 't follow Luke then he wouldn't kill Luke anymore like Aemond is a donkey, imbecile is an idiot he did shit and now the greens will pay for everything they did Rhaenyra wasn't dreaming of a dragon giving birth. Her own dragon, Syrax, was screaming in pain at her because they are so bonded. If you notice during the Battle of the Stepstones, Caraxes screams when Daemon is hit by an arrow. this shows how Rhaenyra and Daemon have a great connection with their dragons. Rhaenyra's anger burns the whole transition was so well done, her anger is completely justified compared to how they made Daenarys Daemon as crazy as it gets, he loved his brother. From the scene where he stopped Corlis talking shit about Viserys in ep 1, helping on the throne to mourning on the beach. I don't think Daemon wanted to show weakness because Rhaenyra was at her most vulnerable and it wasn't easy.. (His last wife died in childbirth, and I believe it is also said that his mother died in childbirth and the wife of Viserys died in childbirth.) So the only thing he could do was prepare for the war he knew was coming. The scene on the beach was much longer of him on the beach Matt the actor he shot a scene on the beach the daemon suffering from the death of his baby who was a girl and her name was the series visenya but HBO preferred to remove this scene the daemon he is not no saint anymore he loves his family he loves his children and really rhaenyra just unfortunately the writers prefer not to show that side of him much, i think the reason daemon didnt go to rhaenyra when she was giving birth is because he feared having to make an impossible choice. The last woman he had complications with died. He didn't want to have to make that choice for Rhaenyra. He couldn't lose her that way. When he dropped to his knees, he was relieved that she was okay and had survived. Rhaenyra didn't want help during the birth because of her mother's death. She wanted to get that baby out so she wouldn't suffer the same fate. This series/book is awesome... Matt Smith said that Daemon would give his life for Viserys and Rhaenyra. I fully believe he was heartbroken to see his brother in that condition. we books Alicent she hates Rhaenyra she was always jealous of Rhaenyra so much that I wish rhaenyra's death no and as in the series it shows that alicent is like that and because we books she does things because she because she is a bad person Let's see the losses Rhaenyra lost mother and father and daughter and son and Daemon lost father and mother in childbirth and also lost his wife who is Laena and son and now he lost brother and daughter and two other children They are suffering, but each one of their own ways, the daemon starts preparing for war because he knows Otto very well and he is afraid of losing his family One thing I say is that the two really love each other rhaenyra she can't survive without the daemon They are the best couple like it or not they are everyone's popular Daemyra forever Emma Darcy who plays Rhaenyra she says that the daemon never laid a hand on Rhaenyra that this was the first time that Rhaenyra her character didn't care much because she knows that the daemon did that and Because he's angry and he's letting his emotion out and she also says which character of hers cares the most about what she just found out that the daemon doesn't know about prophecy because Rhaenyra I thought the daemon knew because he was heir to viserys for 10 years that's why she put a smile on the side of her mouth because she just found out that her father always chose her and Rhaenyra had her doubts if her father wanted her as heir remembers episode 2 when Rhaenyra talks to Alicent poise now after years he got her answer The daemon must be sad because it's his brother and he just found out that he was never chosen and that brother never trusted him enough to tell him and that's more heartbreaking A script for the first season came out that HBO thought of putting in the story a scene that the viserys was thinking of telling the daemon then he starts talking to the daemon but then gives up only that they They didn't put this scene unfortunately I think the biggest reason people didn't like the scene of Daemon smothering Rhaenyra is because he's supposed to be a bad guy to the greens, but the protector of his family. Daemon isn't a saint, but he's definitely not a villain. He does a lot of bad things, but he's a gray character, and loving his family and protecting them is one of his redeeming qualities and some writers are trying to take that away from him. There are two teams, the Green Team that belongs to Alicent and the Black Team that belongs to Rhaenyra, I hope to see Rhaenyra with fire in her eyes in the second season, The Greens will pay for everything they did
Come on my guy you’re better than that. Her and daemon already have 2 blonde boys they showed king viserys before he died. And that was a girl her first and only girl in the books she said “they the greens murdered my only girl” or something like that cause of the stress they caused her.
Other than some issues with the pacing and making the Greens more creepy (ie giving several of their members more evil and perverted traits) and villainous (ie not introducing one of the more morally good members this season), I thought this was a very solid first season, easily the best season of the HBO adaptations since Game of Thrones season 4. Better writing/dialogue and some wonderful performances. And while I’m always wary of changes from the books considering some of the f*ck ups that came from that in GOT, I think some of HOTD’s changes improved the story (expanding Viserys’ storyline, giving Aemond a sympathetic childhood and making Rhaenyra and Alicent childhood friends who became bitter rivals but were starting to patch things up before the Dance dashed any hope of reconciliation). If they can keep this up in subsequent seasons the show can easily live up to the books in a way that GOT failed to do
I really loved this first season, more than Game of Thrones' first season. I might even prefer it to the next two seasons, since this season showed us why the Dance of Dragons will occur, showed us how the Targaryen royal family fell apart through three generations; which outstanding drama and conflict and performances. There might be more action and dragon-battles next season, but it will have all depended on this first season. I will miss Viserys.
The Daemon put his hand on Rhaenyra was it because of the prophecy because viserys didn't tell him (this doesn't exist in the books the Writers vented in the series) I understand the fight we both have because they don't talk like that on the same page, make the daemon put his hand on Rhaenyra, I think that was over the top, it wasn't necessary and the moment the daemon lets go of rhaenyra, you can see in the eyes of the daemon and Rhaenyra that they are both suffering and Rhaenyra says she never told you that and she smirks because she's realizing that the viserys chose her as heir to the throne because viserys didn't tell the daemon and Rhaenyra thought viserys had told him because the daemon had 10 years as heir and Viserys and after those 10 years, viserys never told him so he keeps imagining in the daemon's head how my brother who i loved so much never trusted me right now the daemon must be very hurt because daemon always wanted to show his worth to viserys and he loves his brother the daemon and a person who he has a hot head, he is proud, but he also has feelings, but sometimes he ends up expressing it wrong, then the daemon loses another child because he already lost one, then he discovers that his brother died Then later he discovers that his brother never trusted him and that it hurts his heart and daemon is feeling all of this but he ends up putting everyone else these feelings in rhaenyra who is not to blame it's the moment he lets go she sees his eyes of sadness and before he leaves if you notice he looks down he looks at her belly Then he remembers the daughter they lost, Daemon didn't stay with Rhaenyra because he didn't want to make the same choice he made with Laena the daemon has truama in fact the daemon always had for those who don't know the daemon's mother died in childbirth so the daemon already has a trauma because he never wanted to have children, so the daemon didn't want to be with Rhaenyra so he wouldn't make the same choice there when Rhaenyra loses the child Rhaenyra Stays with the daughter since the daemon goes to the beach to suffer there that reminded me in the first episode of the throne scene there is a daemon and viserys is the daemon tells viserys that each person suffers in a different way, and it reminds me of the scene the two are suffering each alone but rhaenyra and daemon are grieving for their daughter unfortunately we didn't see much of the other side of the daemon this season because the writers and HBO preferred not to show in my opinion the most wronged is Matt Smith Mano he made several scenes of the daemon showing the sentimental side of the daemon him hugging his daughters is him on the beach grieving for the death of his daughter with Rhaenyra and he spends hours and hours on the floor grieving for visenya's death and we simply received in this episode just a quick scene of him grieving for his daughter in the book it says a lot that the daemon is a great father and that he loved his two Wives Laena and Rhaenyra unlike the series which showed very little and I think it's really sad because they're not showing the real daemon Of course he's hot headed and he's crazy but man he loves his family he would never hurt his family until the actor himself says that the daemon would give his life for Viserys is Rhaenyra and very sad what they are doing to this character. The scene at the end was matt's idea he had an idea that who should break the news of luke's death should be the daemon there the writers and emma give up the idea there they did, if you notice it at the time of the scene when daemon enters in the room rhaenyra's attention goes all to the daemon because she knows that something has happened and on the way the daemon is approaching rhaenyra you notice that he puts a hand on his face indicating that he cried there when he got closer to rhaenyra he didn 't even be able to look us in her eyes I'm sorry for Rhaenyra, she lost her father and didn't even say goodbye to her father and didn't even go to the funeral, it's not even known if it was because she didn't attend Viserys' funeral and even more Rhaenyra lost two children Luke is Visenya, In the Book Rhaenyra She blames the greens for the death of her baby and if you think she's right because she lost the baby it was because of the greens, her own brother stole her throne is Alicent hid the death of Viserys , Rhaenyra is pregnant, we all know that one woman cannot take too much emotion or stress because it is dangerous for the baby and she got the news right away. She lost the throne, Losing her father was a lot of emotion and stress for Rhaenyra all because of the Greens, so yes, the Greens were to blame for her daughter's death, she would be the first girl child that Rhaenyra would have with Daemon. 4:46 Daemon thinks that viserys was murdered because the greens made Aegon king right away and saved all the people in prison, not to mention that viserys is dead and this is all suspect, so of course Daemon or anyone else will think that viserys was murdered because the greens hid the death of viserys and they quickly put Aegon on the throne and when that nobody says Nothing to Rhaenyra so it's very suspicious so I understand Daemon's side of he's upset and angry is that now he wants revenge is we can't forget that Daemon and Rhaenyra are in Mourning but I also understand Rhaenyra's side of not wanting to go to war, what She was doing is right, a king has to keep the peace and Rhaenyra was trying everything not to go to the war and not having blood But now it's too late now it's war Rhaenyra has lost many things and now she has to fight for her Throne and for the lives of her children 6:09 what Rhaenyra said in that scene to me doesn't make sense she said that Daemon is crazy and that he's fighting his own war if you remember right in episode 7 Rhaenyra tells Daemon that she needs him and that she couldn't do this alone,so she's asking him for help, here comes this scene where Rhaenyra says Daemon is waging his own war for me It doesn't make sense, Daemon is protecting his family,he's doing what she asked him to do in episode 7,I think it was a Script Hole because it doesn't make sense in my opinion 9:11 This scene with Rhaenyra was very beautiful, you realize that it was very different from Aegon, the two scenes are different, the music in both scenes are very good, no one can deny that,in the scene with Aegon,no one gets on their knees for him, in the scene with Rhaenyra everyone they get on their knees because she is the true heir to the Iron Throne, and I also noticed the reference in episode 8 when the crown of viserys fell and it was Daemon who placed the crown on viserys and now it is Daemon putting the crown on his wife his Queen 12:37 It makes reference to Episode 2, the difference between the two scenes and that in Episode 2 Rhaenyra was on Otto's side, It is now in this scene that Rhaenyra is on Daemon's side 13:49 Refers to Episode 1 in the scene when Rhaenyra rips off a piece of the Book and gives it to Alicent My favorite characters from HOTD I have many more My favorite characters in First place is Second place is Rhaenyra is Daemon, What are your favorite characters? I hope you post your reaction to the second season of House of the Dragon
Love your GoT HotD reactions. :) Looking forward to season 2 and watching your reactions, it should be a wild ride. We are a little over a month until the premiere on June 16th. If you haven’t seen the new trailers yet you should check them out. Official Black and Official Green trailers.
8:14 No it wasn't. 8:35 What are you talking about? You literally have already met two of their children. 14:20 Couldn't disagree more. Rhaenyra is staying calm and isn't taking action until all of her advisors are consulted as a wise and responsible ruler would.
Aemond: "An eye is a fair trade for a dragon." Also Aemond: "YOU TOOK MY EYE! YOU OWE A DEBT! MRGAAAAW!!!" Well, which is it you puffed up bitc- *signal lost*
Aemond only said it was fair to de-escalate the situation. Anyone with sense knows that Aemond wanted his revenge which was 100% justified, for him to want.
WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT HOTD SEASON 1 AS A WHOLE!?
Fantastic. I need the next season already.
Epic! Team black baby! F all the Greens! Can’t wait for season 2!
LOVED IT! 2024 can't get here soon enough!
I was very impressed. I can't wait for season 2.
8:35 it was actually a girl and it would have been their third because they also have baby Aegon and Viserys that were introduced earlier
Her first girl so extra sad too.
RIP baby Visenya 💔
The theme when rhaenyra gets crowned is phenomenal
At the start of the episode, Rhaenyra only wanted PEACE for the realm.
Now, upon hearing about the death of her youngest son, Rhaenyra only wants the realm IN PIECES! lol
Luke was the 2nd oldest son, not youngest.
@@iceastone Okay then. My humor still stands, though. That look in her eyes was frightening! lol

It’s very insightful to see someone give Rhaenyra such a hard time. I fully support her. In the words of Jon Snow, “she is my queen”. Team Black
I thought Aemond said it was a fair trade. "I lost an eye but I gained a dragon." Vhagar is over 100 years older than Arrax. Arrzax was literally just at riding age so he was a young dragon.
Remember rhaenyra and daemon had 2 kids together. She introduced them to her dad. She named one after him
There’s a thought that Rhaenyra doesn’t want anyone to help her give birth because she heard from maesters that her giving birth as of the moment is not normal and therefore dangerous.
Aemond didn't have enough Gym badges to control Vhagar and he went and started a war because of it 😂
Daemon never knew about the prophecy because it was only told to the heirs.
Just fyi Vhagar is a female dragon, she's so old she's basically a grandma dragon
She's an angry grandma wielding a shoe.
@@ro4eva lmao true
Luke’s dragon was a baby. It was freaked out by the thunder and lightning and wind. That’s why Luke was talking to it and trying to calm it down. If not for the storm, Arrax would’ve outwitted V’ghar.
This reviewer doesn’t get Rhaenyra at all. She would make an excellent Queen.
RIP Lucerys :(
21:53 - No, it's not. Meet Vermithor, the Bronze Fury, unclaimed since the death of the Old King Jaehaerys, his last rider.
3:47 imagine being a parent a hearing a compliment like that from your son
Actually, Arrax' best chance of survival was through flying above the storm, where his speed and dexterity gave him his only advantage over Vhagar. Below, in the wind and rain, Arrax could not fly as fast and maneuver as effectively.
Notice that during the scene with Rhaenyra and Corlys you can see one of the lords that swore for her at kings landing last episode so Otto didn’t just have them all killed
Vhagar " eye, I thought you said die, I'm sorry my Prince.i'm old my hearing is bad "
That would have been there third child together! Aegon II, Viserys II, and the third child would have been a girl, named Visenya. (Aegon for the Conqueror, Viserys ofr her father, and Visenya who was one of Aegon's sisters wives.)
Aegon III not Aegon II
@@itsthatgirl98_ missed the extra I, thank you!
This season is so amazing, it might be better than GoT’s first season in my view.
I don’t agree but GOT required so much exposition to be immersed in this world that THOTD is easier to absorb bc we already been here and are familiar. But the killing of Ned was just so shocking that first season that it’s crazy and really set off a lot of series’ willing to kill off major characters
@@DP-nl4uq Yes HotD has an advantage because the world was already created by GoT but again, this is my opinion nothing more.
Me too. I prefer HOTD season 1 to gots
Maybe not the first season but it’s definitely better than the later Game of Thrones seasons
That's a truly ridiculous statement.
Visenya "the baby" would have been their 3rd child together
"She was my only daughter and they killed her, they stole my crown and murdered my daughter, they shall answer for it." - Rhaenyra Targaryen on Fire and Blood book
lil bro shoulda left as soon as he pulled up and saw vaegar
The sadness and anger at the end. Actress playing rhaenyra is so great! And the score is just perfect. All actors in this show are so good. The young and old.
Emma uses they/them pronouns
@@itsthatgirl98_ But she's a woman so stfu and sit down.
The change in music when Rhaenera goes from 'grieving mother' to 'grieving angry vengeful mother'...I get chills every time!
"The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion" -Viserys
I can tell you that this Vhagar bite, for book readers, was all we wanted to see and to me it was even better than i imagined
21:55 that is Vermithor, the Hoof King Jaeharys’ Dragon. He was the old king seen in ep 1 Rhanera and her fathers crown was also the old kings as well.
One thing I don't understand - it's so cold inside the keep that the characters' breath is visible; and Rhaenyra is wearing a sleeveless shift and giving birth in the open air rather than inside a chamber where there can be fires lighted to provide warmth?
teamdaemon because he is the only one who knows that the hightowers have been the problem from the beginning he told his brother I will take care of anyone but his brother I never trust him and there is the result that is what I like about daemon's character because that he can be good or bad with anyone but the only thing that matters to him is his family and he does everything possible to protect them
8:38 No dude, they have Aegon and Viserys. They introduced them to the king and he said "oh a name fit for a king"
what a finale!
it's a tragedy that we're gonna have to wait 2 whole years for S2 😭😭
I can't...
Just caught it, the girls aren't Rhaenys's kids. They're Damon's with Laena.
Amazing season. Cannot wait two years for the next 😭
I’m confused why you didn’t already know this it was clear in episode 6
@@savannahpope9386People do not pay attention to what they watch.
At this point Rhaeneys was a queen in her own rite-and thus would not have to bend the knee, as they were equals.
8:35 It would be her third child with Daemon and her only girl
22:38
That ain't a dragon, it's a damn kaiju! 😨
We're getting closer and closer to season 2 . Yayyyy 😃👍🏽👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Note :Not out of the storm he is out of control
And arrax is a baby dragon same age of lucarys so the dragon is frightened so it’s gone fly up
And that dragon deamon gone to calm by song was second living dragon in HOTD
Jaehaerys’s dragon grandfather of vieserys
8:40 Damen and Rhanera already have 2 sons (Aegon and Viserys). The stillbirth was a girl
The translation has been confirmed thanks to the language's creator, David J. Peterson (via Archive Of Our Own).
In it, it is revealed that the name of the song Daemon sings to Vermithor is "With Three Heads". Check the English translation:
Fire breathes, winged leader
but two heads
For a third to sing
From my voice:
The fires spoke
And the price has been paid
with blood magic
With words of fire
with clear eyes
To tie the three
for you i sing
As one we come together
And with three heads
We'll fly like we were meant to
beautifully, freely
In the book Aemond he kills Luke and because he wanted not to and as he is showing in the series that he is sorry, the name of Rhaenyra's baby would be a girl and her name would be visenya
In the book Aemond he kills Luke because he wants to and when he gets home he celebrates and Aegon and alicent they celebrate luke's death different from the series they put it as an accident that the Two lost control of the dragons in the book there is no such thing as losing control of the dragons they spoiled everything in the series but anyway Aemond killed Luke he could have prevented it It was just him not following Luke but that asshole Aemond went after the kid now he's going to bear all the consequences now l' m wondering how they are they going to do this in the series because in the book the greens are all happy with luke's death for alicent, aegon and even aemond so i'm wondering how they are going to do it in the series because the writers put it as if it was an accident and that aemond didn't wanted to kill Luke unlike the book where he kills Luke because he wants to, I didn't like that much they did it just to make people feel sorry for the greens in my opinion, In the book Aemond kills Luke because he wanted to kill Luke different from the series that showed that it was an "Accident" but depending on how Aemond was and blamed for Luke's death he could have avoided it An example was just he didn 't follow Luke then he wouldn't kill Luke anymore like Aemond is a donkey, imbecile is an idiot he did shit and now the greens will pay for everything they did
Rhaenyra wasn't dreaming of a dragon giving birth. Her own dragon, Syrax, was screaming in pain at her because they are so bonded. If you notice during the Battle of the Stepstones, Caraxes screams when Daemon is hit by an arrow. this shows how Rhaenyra and Daemon have a great connection with their dragons. Rhaenyra's anger burns the whole transition was so well done, her anger is completely justified compared to how they made Daenarys
Daemon as crazy as it gets, he loved his brother.
I fully believe he was heartbroken to see his brother in that condition. we books Alicent she hates Rhaenyra she was always jealous of Rhaenyra so much that I wish rhaenyra's death no and as in the series it shows that alicent is like that and because we books she does things because she because she is a bad person
Let's see the losses Rhaenyra lost mother and father and daughter and son and Daemon lost father and mother in childbirth and also lost his wife who is Laena and son and now he lost brother and daughter and two other children They are suffering, but each one of their own ways, the daemon starts preparing for war because he knows Otto very well and he is afraid of losing his family One thing I say is that the two really love each other rhaenyra she can't survive without the daemon They are the best couple like it or not they are everyone's popular Daemyra forever
Emma Darcy who plays Rhaenyra she says that the daemon never laid a hand on Rhaenyra that this was the first time that Rhaenyra her character didn't care much because she knows that the daemon did that and Because he's angry and he's letting his emotion out and she also says which character of hers cares the most about what she just found out that the daemon doesn't know about prophecy because Rhaenyra I thought the daemon knew because he was heir to viserys for 10 years that's why she put a smile on the side of her mouth because she just found out that her father always chose her and Rhaenyra had her doubts if her father wanted her as heir remembers episode 2 when Rhaenyra talks to Alicent poise now after years he got her answer The daemon must be sad because it's his brother and he just found out that he was never chosen and that brother never trusted him enough to tell him and that's more heartbreaking A script for the first season came out that HBO thought of putting in the story a scene that the viserys was thinking of telling the daemon then he starts talking to the daemon but then gives up only that they They didn't put this scene unfortunately
I think the biggest reason people didn't like the scene of Daemon smothering Rhaenyra is because he's supposed to be a bad guy to the greens, but the protector of his family.
If they can keep this up in subsequent seasons the show can easily live up to the books in a way that GOT failed to do
The baby was a girl named Visenya and she was Rhaenyra and Daemon’s 3rd child they already have 2 living sons Aegon the Younger and Viserys
Her and Daemon have 2 sons already, Aegon and Viserys
REMEMBER EARLIER IN THE SERIES THE QUOTE "WHEN DRAGONS WAR EVERYBODY BURNS". THERE IS NO REAL CONTROL OF DRAGONS!
2 things, vhagar is a female dragon and Jon and Daenerys fought the night king on dead viserion so not the first time we've seen a dragon fight.
27:03 It was at this moment that he knew, he fucked up.
Hot chocolate is better IMO for winter.
Aemond my favourite character
Now we gotta wait 2 years lol
daemon and her got 2 kids already
The Dance of the Dragons has officially begun! Fire and Blood will reign! #BlackCloaks
I thought Vhagar was a female dragon? Or did I misunderstand 😅
She is.
Vaghar is one large lady 😂 I think they said but I bet she’s had like hundreds of kids lol
The scene at the end was matt's idea he had an idea that who should break the news of luke's death should be the daemon there the writers and emma give up the idea there they did, if you notice it at the time of the scene when daemon enters in the room rhaenyra's attention goes all to the daemon because she knows that something has happened and on the way the daemon is approaching rhaenyra you notice that he puts a hand on his face indicating that he cried there when he got closer to rhaenyra he didn 't even be able to look us in her eyes
I'm sorry for Rhaenyra, she lost her father and didn't even say goodbye to her father and didn't even go to the funeral, it's not even known if it was because she didn't attend Viserys' funeral and even more Rhaenyra lost two children Luke is Visenya, In the Book Rhaenyra She blames the greens for the death of her baby and if you think she's right because she lost the baby it was because of the greens, her own brother stole her throne is Alicent hid the death of Viserys , Rhaenyra is pregnant, we all know that one woman cannot take too much emotion or stress because it is dangerous for the baby and she got the news right away. She lost the throne, Losing her father was a lot of emotion and stress for Rhaenyra all because of the Greens, so yes, the Greens were to blame for her daughter's death, she would be the first girl child that Rhaenyra would have with Daemon.
4:46 Daemon thinks that viserys was murdered because the greens made Aegon king right away and saved all the people in prison, not to mention that viserys is dead and this is all suspect, so of course Daemon or anyone else will think that viserys was murdered because the greens hid the death of viserys and they quickly put Aegon on the throne and when that nobody says Nothing to Rhaenyra so it's very suspicious so I understand Daemon's side of he's upset and angry is that now he wants revenge is we can't forget that Daemon and Rhaenyra are in Mourning but I also understand Rhaenyra's side of not wanting to go to war, what She was doing is right, a king has to keep the peace and Rhaenyra was trying everything not to go to the war and not having blood But now it's too late now it's war Rhaenyra has lost many things and now she has to fight for her Throne and for the lives of her children
6:09 what Rhaenyra said in that scene to me doesn't make sense she said that Daemon is crazy and that he's fighting his own war if you remember right in episode 7 Rhaenyra tells Daemon that she needs him and that she couldn't do this alone,so she's asking him for help, here comes this scene where Rhaenyra says Daemon is waging his own war for me It doesn't make sense, Daemon is protecting his family,he's doing what she asked him to do in episode 7,I think it was a Script Hole because it doesn't make sense in my opinion
9:11 This scene with Rhaenyra was very beautiful, you realize that it was very different from Aegon, the two scenes are different, the music in both scenes are very good, no one can deny that,in the scene with Aegon,no one gets on their knees for him, in the scene with Rhaenyra everyone they get on their knees because she is the true heir to the Iron Throne, and I also noticed the reference in episode 8 when the crown of viserys fell and it was Daemon who placed the crown on viserys and now it is Daemon putting the crown on his wife his Queen
12:37 It makes reference to Episode 2, the difference between the two scenes and that in Episode 2 Rhaenyra was on Otto's side, It is now in this scene that Rhaenyra is on Daemon's side
13:49 Refers to Episode 1 in the scene when Rhaenyra rips off a piece of the Book and gives it to Alicent

1 year late damn near but WE DONE BRUH. YEEEEEEEEEEET
8:14 No it wasn't.
8:35 What are you talking about? You literally have already met two of their children.
14:20 Couldn't disagree more. Rhaenyra is staying calm and isn't taking action until all of her advisors are consulted as a wise and responsible ruler would.
#teamblack but honestly, how can I wait until 2024 for more😫
King Aagon is gonna be aa GONE.

Also Aemond: "YOU TOOK MY EYE! YOU OWE A DEBT! MRGAAAAW!!!"
Well, which is it you puffed up bitc- *signal lost*
Aemond only said it was fair to de-escalate the situation. Anyone with sense knows that Aemond wanted his revenge which was 100% justified, for him to want.
Is not like lucerys gave him vhagar, he's earned vhagar by having balls ,

Vaeghar is a she bro
Been waiting for you to get on this one.
Noti!

Rhaenyra is awful and you haven't seen the half of it.
It'll be fun to see the casual fans see just how crazy and paranoid she gets. 🤣🤣
Rhaenyra and Daemon have two children together at this point. The still born would've been their third
