    I’ve seen a lot of bbq youtube guys (mainly pellet grill guys) make pig shots. I’ve never seen anyone make each element from scratch. You killed this one Brad 🤙🏻

    I’ve done pig shots for a few years. People at work even made a song about it one year! Favorite flavors: pineapple and lime, mushroom and maple, jalapeño and cheddar, pickle and mustard. You can flavor it all kinds of ways. Also, you can thin the cream cheese with some sour cream if you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to heat it up first.

    I’ve seen pig shots in thumbnails forever, I’m with you it looked gimmicky. Saw it on yours, and well now I know what I’m doing for appetizers at my next gathering. Great job as always!!

    Great video as usual! So, along the lines of “how can I improve these?” how about a beef sausage, beef back bacon and then use a crab dip filling, or even a version of shrimp scampi in the cream cheese? Surf and turf shots!

    Had some leftover sausage today while I had the pits fired up and it made a great crowd pleaser. Did a few without jalapeño for the sissies but everyone loved it

    For a little different finish set them cheese side up and drizzle with siracha honey and just a lil sprinkle of fresh cilantro on them . Fire !!!

    Still pretty warm here in Texas. Any issues cold smoking at the current temps? For those of you who haven't tried the sausage mix its a winner! Great foundation to build on for sure. Good job Brad.

    Nice video!!! Even without the bacon wrapping an cutting into pig shots, this looks to be a excellent Jalapeno/Cheddar sausage recipe! I bet these pig shots would also be great stuffed with pimento cheese and smoked as alternative version!

    I have to admit I've never heard of pig shots and yes I can see where you'd think this was just a gimmick. But they look great and definitely worth a try.

    Props to you man :) This is a hard channel to keep fresh - I mean what can you do with beef and pork on a smoker / grill. I applaud your ideas and trying to always post something new and interesting. There are only so many ways to cook some of this stuff haha.

    Fellow NH native here. My 8 year old daughter and I watch your videos before she goes to bed every night along with reading… I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anyone do a smoked turducken on any of the major BBQ channels. Maybe an idea to do with thanksgiving coming up?

    These are really good with some hot honey on top instead of the Texas Pete's hot sauce. Gives that sweet heat kick.

    Take some cold brisket and put it into the food processor and chop until like coarse sand. Add that to your cream cheese mixture and then fill. 😊 now they are perfect.

    I've made these before as an appetizer. They are not appetizers. They are dense meals in each shot. LOL
    I did use regular bacon and andouille sausage, so they were taller.

    Can you vac seal and freeze after cold smoking ? Then bring them up to temp later ?

    I am not too sure I would recommend stew meat! It is usually scrap or just chopped-up chuck! It is also most often considerably more expensive than just getting a Chuck Roast and chunking it up yourself!

    Loving the recipe! Take the comment for what it's worth.... I will be adding a raspberry or sweet BQQ dipping sauce to this one. Leave the toothpicks in and no mess with the fingers! P.S. Just received your Sweet Chud Rub, Chud Rub, Snake Nests.... and of course an "Everybody Loves a Clean Weenie" t-shirt. Suggestion for the T-shirt: Drop the Chuds BBQ logo into the tub of that shirt. I would've loved to have your brand on the shirt! Signature saying for you! "Peace!!!"

    Yea they seem kinda gimmicky and really just another version of a jalapeno popper but I love the idea and will definitely try it but maybe change it up a bit. Keep up the great videos.

    Question: couldn’t you have just cold smoked the cream cheese at the same time you cold smoked the sausages? It would have been easier to keep the temps down I would think?
