That might actually have something to do with Ben being the main songwriter for all the albums but especially for Dear agony because he pretty much wrote everything himself except for when he co-wrote a few tracks with Jason Rauch. The more someone is the dominant member of the band the more they control it like with Sting and The Police. I have major respect for Ben and I think he deserves to speak like that because after all it is his band.

He writes the songs, sings them, and is the primary guitarist, so does he not deserve credit for that? How would you like working your ass off writing dozens of songs, singing them and playing lead guitar on stage for millions of demanding fans, not to mention the labels breathing down your neck, only to have your bandmates allow a shitty remix of a song you wrote, without even telling you? All the while suffering from multiple health issues? Sure he maybe could have handled it a little better but he is not an egomaniac.
