"They must have a huge budget for their videos" they actually filmed it in Noah (vocals) and Jolly (guitar) kitchen which is INSANE because they made it look so huge. You should definitely check out their newest stuff, you would be so impressed with Noah's vocal versatility and skill.

You’ve picked their two heaviest tracks to start your journey. Not saying that it’s all downhill from here though, far from it. Their versatility is off the charts and they do everything extremely well. This is from their second album, and their newest album which came out a year ago is when they really blew up. Check out “The Death Of Peace Of Mind” to see why.

Since you've been liking Bad Omens so far, I think it's time for you to check out some of their other songs! I'm seeing other people say "Concrete Jungle" for your next one, and that's a good pick because, well, you'll hear. It fits well with what you've already heard.

After this listen to Just Pretend ...they can't be put in a box or genre...as an old metalhead it's truly impressive
Just so you know Dethroned and Artificial Suicide are their 2 heaviest songs. Most of their songs have heavy sections, and a lot of their stuff is progressive, but they are really their own thing. They do not fit neatly into any genre, which I love and what really sets them apart IMO. They have one of the best vocalists on planet Earth in Noah, great lyrics, great production…. They stand out in the crowd. If you decide to deep dive prepare to be surprised from track to track

A lot have stated this, but im gonna chime in too. You hit the 2 hardest songs. Now if you really wanna be inpressed, listen to Death of Peace of Mind, or Like a Villian. His range between screaming and his clean vocals are absolutly amazing. Noah has grown so much as a vocalist, kts freaking insane.
I saw an interview and they said they filmed this in someone’s LIVING ROOM!!!
It was Noah’s living room at the house he was living in, and he says in another interview that another band that they’re friends with also used the set they made for one of their music videos
So 1. this was shot in their apartment. 2. Now that you've felt their metal soul -- time to adventure into the other side of the spectrum for Noah's voice (The Death of Peace of Mind // Concrete Jungle) 3. If you want to appreciate the drummer a little more check out Mercy.. It's one of the most kick you in the teeth drum wise I've heard in a long time.
Ok now you have done these two, prepare yourself voor a complete shock to do the death of peach of mind. Don't be nervous sir, but be amazed of the diversity of this awesome band.

I don't remember where, but I read somewhere that it was about a car crash that killed Noah's father and a couple of his friends, with him as the sole survivor.

I KNOW what it's like to be that angry at God. This song SCREAMS pain. And my heart screams back.
My boyfriend introduced me to this band two years ago, and I've loved them ever since. For recommendations, I would suggest "Concrete Jungle", "Like a Villain", "Worst in Me" and "Glass Houses". This band really doesn't have any "bad songs" in my opinion. If you listen to some of the band's live performances, Noah changes up the tones for songs and gives you a different experience.

Imo, Dethrone is probably the heaviest song in their discograph, at least vocally. however!! the guitars hit that good good place consistently. their first album is probably their heaviest album going off of vocals for the whole album (Imo), and their second album is where they got a little experimental with their sound, and their newest album is their most experimental album with a lot more "radio friendly" (I do not mean this in a negative way at all)
Noah is an EXTREMELY talented vocalist and his versatility, not just in screaming/growling, is fuckn out of this world

Such a huge track. As others have said, you've now ticked off the 2 tracks on the facemelt end of the Bad Omens spectrum. Hope you bring us along for the WTF that is the the half dozen other different sounds / styles they bounce between back the other direction. 'Like A Villain' and 'Just Pretend' are my favourites from the newest album, both on the softer / rock side.
Probably preaching to the choir I suspect, but if you like these artists where you never know what you'll get with each new song (or sometimes within the one damn song) from crazy heaviness, to 'i'm not crying, you're crying' and everything inbetween - add Sleep Token to your list.
Gods, Alkaline, Blood Sport (from the Room Below), The Love You Want. Haven't met someone that didn't become a convert after those tracks yet.
Sleep Token is one of my favorite bands of all time! Can’t wait for them to drop some new stuff. Definitely will be doing reactions when it hits!

Has anyone mentioned they have unplugged versions of some of their heavyish songs?
It's insane. It's beautiful. I've been a fan of them for a few years now, but only been actively following them for about 2 years because I was stuck on a single song for a full year, "Kingdom of Cards." It is a gorgeous full mix of so many styles that I never expected to work so well together and to this day is the song that I keep going back to.
So that one is gonna be my suggestion, then when you've gone through more of their songs, I'd highly recommend the unplugged versions for that real smack of "W H A T" because the tone shift. Ugh. Uuuugh! So good.
I legitimately think "Mercy" and "Never Know" unplugged are two of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

Go straight from this to the title track of their newest album, and then go watch a live recording of this song from the last few months. Noah must have sold his soul to the devil to get the absurd vocal “range” between cleans and screams

Their live production on the headliner tour they just wrapped up was amazing. And Noah's vocals are even better live than in studio. Do The Death of Peace of Mind, Concrete Jungle, Like a Villain, you really can't go wrong with anything from the newest album.

Their earliest work is not that heavy but still very very good, I dont know if you would be into tracks like 'Death of Peace of Mind' or 'Just pretend' or 'Concrete Jungle' and 'Nowhere to Go', but I hopw you are. Their oldest songs like 'Glass Houses' or 'Exit Wounds' or 'The Worst In Me' and maybe 'Like A Villain' (which is from the latest album but still) could be more for your taste, but anway Bad Omens makes great music regardless, I hope you can devour their content and love it like I do:)
By the way maybe you could react to Architects as well, they have many good songs like 'Animals', 'when we were young', 'a new moral low ground', 'doomsday' and many more, I think you will love them.

My favorite song with Bad Omens is one that is not super metal, or clean.
Its stand very much on its own, and is different. But it just really hits.

Their first album had a more “Sempiternal but a little heavier” type sound to it if that’s something ur into. If u wanna check out other songs from the most recent album I’d say Just Pretend and The Grey show off Noah’s singing the best (as someone who’s a vocalist too). The live version of Dethrone shows off his screaming range if u wanna check that out.

Bad omens is definitely one of the good bands. there is a lot of good ones out there and there are some more terrible ones too. cool reaction. I doubt it'll happen, but I think you may like Ghost by The Dream Analysis. A very underrated Metalcore band that appeared in 2021.
