SERIES SUMMARY
The Alpha Jay Show reviews animation episodes, animated TV movies, cartoons, and other things as a main series. I have reviewed many things from Fairly Oddparents to SpongeBob to Teen Titans Go to The Amazing World Of Gumball and many more. Expect a fair, open-minded and non-pandering review of whatever episode I use. Bear in mind while I do use copyrighted material, it is highly likely that my content falls under the legal defense of fair use.

I just hope that if season 6 is seriously happening that it isn't a let down and they take it seriously. Let's hope for the best and plan for the worst I suppose.
You bring up a good point. I think alot of us know Teen Titans wouldn't necessarily bring in the ratings of Teen Titans Go. While it's a deeper experience, it requires more patience, commitment to characters, and doesn't have as saturated, eye-catching colours as Go. It simply requires a longer attention span from kids. Similarly, I don't like that it may lose out to Go, but it may unfortunately be true. Though I hope we're proven wrong with season 6.
PhantomStrider I think it would work fine on DC's New Streaming Service called DC Universe.
J Turner yeah
Hi Strider I watch a lot of your content 😀😀😀
That should be the creators argument for putting it on adult swim instead.
Samuel Brent I think they should put Teen Titans on Adult Swim, since it always seemed to be more of a mature experience anyways. When I was young I had no idea what was going on and I just watched the fighting. It was better to me when I payed attention to the story but that’s me. And if they put it on adult swim they won’t really be competing. Kids will watch teen titans go and fans of the original will watch that.
If I were to reboot Teen Titans, I would probably put it on Adult Swim, since the fans that grew up with Teen Titans would either be teens or adults nowadays.
When i watched Teen Titans i was about 5 now im 14 so i truly believe they should
I would revive but put it on Adult Swim like what they did with Samurai Jack.
Thwazhere1 this should be pinned
Or the DC streaming service, I mean heck they saved young justice might as well save the show that lead to young justice.
Tyler Houston That would be the worst case scenario because I think a lot people wouldn’t get the streaming service and just watch illegally.
Dragon's Breath It isn’t pinned. It’s hearted. Jay gives out a Hearts often. It’s the closest I’ve ever gotten to a reply
Parcel Form lol. VIP zone is not for us
If the show is coming back for 1 more season, it needs to happen under these 3 circumstances.
1). It shouldn't go to Cartoon Network because I don't trust them.
2). It needs to be put on Toonami or the DC Universe; Especially the DC Universe since they really need more shows to grab more subscribers.
3). The original creator needs to come back.
These are the only way a season 6 revival would work.
RedWolf316 agree. Without original writers, it will probably be shit, because you need people who know how to create continuity and sustain it easily.
True
I would Revive it because everyone else will say it they want a good ending of Teen Titans And I would too I hope Season 6 will be good!^-^
Mizuki exactly. You can’t just end a show with beast boy running away from Terra to help his friends
I'd say reboot it, but put it on Adult Swim.
About that...
To be honest.. they're gonna mess it up. Not being that guy but; is cartoon network REEEAALLY gonna cater to the viewers?
CN? Probably not. Warner Bros./DC Universe? Maybe.
Josh Spicer I'm starting to miss Batman brave and the bold..
well there viewers are kids and teen titans is more for teenagers so if they want to cater to there viewers, they would go with teen titans go
Zeta Skywalker oh yeah Batman it was great but now I like ttg
The Teen Titans hopeful revivial could do well on Adult Swim, just like you know, Samurai Jack
Teen Titans & Transformers ANIMATED honestly really need a comeback.
yolanda castro OG Teen Titans and Transformers Prime needs to come back!😡😤😁😎
I wouldn’t revive it as a Cartoon Network show. In my opinion, the best course for Teen Titans is a late night adult swim spot akin to Samurai Jack
If it airs on Adult Swim, yes
If it airs on Cartoon Network and right after TTG, OH HELL NAH
I think that the best choice is pulling a Samurai Jack on it. You know playing it on Adult Swim.
Well, this' an opinion we may not like, but worth hearing. Thanks for being critical and honest Alpha. Hopefully the show can get a return to finish, but for now, that's just for the best.
I would only revive it were I allowed creative freedom and not pressured by network executives to make it like TTG in order to keep up with the ratings and popularity.
And that's honestly what scares me about a potential season 6. I could see CN execs pressuring the creators to make it more like what they already know works and is currently popular (i.e. - TTG).
For this to work, there cannot be any compromise. It needs to be its own thing. What it was. Not what it became.
Depends as I want a true ending to the series but knowing cartoon network treatment of its more action series and more story driven as of late isn't good ... So if their is a season 6 they'd likely need to get it put on say, Adult Swim or on a streaming service ... But on the other hand I don't want a reboot given how in general reboots have been horrid lately.
I would but only for one last season. Just one good ending to wrap things up for the loyal fans and let it be ready for streaming when younger kids discover it. I just want closure.
Beast From The Weast That's all we want.
like how they did it with samurai jack? i'd be down for that
Would You Revive Teen Titans?

YES I WOULD
Alpha Jay Show I have never seen it before
Fern Br you have to see teen titans
Alpha Jay Show yes I would because it looks good
Why not just give it the samurai jack treatment and put it on adult swim? That way you separate the audiences that TT and TTG appeal to, give TT the creative freedom to appeal better to to the audience that grew up with it, and any kind of advertisement for each series can be better directed towards their intended demographics.
I really hesitate to say that the film focused on Starfire as while it did have her play a very pivotal role it focused way more on Robin. Anyway I do remember them hinting stuff in the teen titans go comics (no relation to TTG the show) that they were planning something between Starfire Blackfire and their missing brother. I do feel that would be the main focus of the new season but i could easily be wrong. Also if i were to bring it back i would place it on Toonami as it would be the most familiar to fans of the original show as well as far enough away to not be over shadowed by TTG.
"the reason it's cancelled is unknown"
i thought someone at WB confirmed it was cancelled because it didn't have enough of what the reboot is known for
While Starfire never got her own season, the sad truth is they blew her best material from the comics anyway. The arranged marriage and her rivalry with her sister comprise her biggest storylines, and they were mostly reduced to small mostly comedic episodes.
BB's material is done (the Doom Patrol stuff), as is Raven's (esp since they skipped the Brother Blood stuff and made him a generic Hive guy, he wasn't Cyborg's nemesis in the comics). Cyborg was always kind of just there or... merging with alien superintelligences. Red X just seems like the in-universe version of Jason Todd/Red Hood, which I'm not sure how they're going to explain it since that's a Batman story that involves Batman villains like Ra's Al Ghul and The Joker.
I'd actually probably say bring in Jericho (he appeared in the show but for some reason they left the fact that he is Slade's son teentitans.wikia.com/wiki/Jericho), as well as Rose (Ravager, appeared in TTG) , and actually give Slade... a backstory and motivation etc? The show started with him as a villain, end with him as the villain (which lets you wrap up the Terra and Red X stuff as well). That's really the only thing they can do from the comics of the 80s. I don't think they will use anything important from other eras, since they didn't do it yet.
(I stole this comment)
The should do what they did for samurai jack and put it on adult swim for not only less competition with teen titans go ,but to reach their actual target demo of kids who actually watched it when it came out
If they have the TTG creators then I wouldn't. If they can get the original creators then I would.
Can they just put it on the DC app like Young Justice? Cartoon Network can also do what Adult Swim did with Samurai Jack, a mini-season that wrap up everything. I don't think it would hurt the show if they make it into an event.
Or they can go with 15 min episodes, like Steven Universe and Star Vs. and have a mix of comedy and action like Rise Of The TMNT. Huh, I do find it odd that I have no problem with the new TMNT reboot but Teen Titans Go! always make me a little angry everytime I talk about it
Thank you! I've been saying this, the whole time. Given CN's current climate, resuming TT now would do nothing but hurt it, i have no doubt that CN would not only treat TT poorly, but mess up the continuity. TTG may even spill into it.
Sir Blank Face On CN yes it would.
J Turner I get what you're saying and i agree they need to clear Family Guy, The Cleveland Show and American Dad's time slots and make way for their own original content. Like Teen Titans.
I would wait for go's season to end and then air season 6 and when its over air go
Why didn't you consider airing it in Adult Swim?
Not to mention Young Justice coming back soon.
The main problem i had with ttg was that cn is trying to make a profit without giving the original tt fans any closure.
Ttg is not for me but im not really mad about the show itself. I just want a fucking ending. They did it for samurai jack. Why not for teen titans?
Raine Bows Exactly, do it as a comic book for all I care.
2:42 You're right it would be Weird, unless it was put on DC Universe.
Maybe another time and company but I don’t trust CN with it and action cartoon struggle a lot. They compete with anime and video games for kids, so it seem like an uphill battle. I love to see Teen Titans again and get a better ending.
So I might be taking a shot in the dark with this guess. But the toonami block has been doing well late at night, a block that primarily shows action packed anime. Do you think that after seeing that success they might be trying to bring some of that demographic from the night to the day with the action packed Anime-esque with a already established audience OG Teen Titans?
If feel as if they were to actually reboot teen titans, they would just make it kinda crappier than it's earlier so the fans woild stop asking for them to teplace teen titans go. Idk they might also make it more for kids like the past reboot
Edit:Sorry for the spelling mistake i type really fast
Amondo Dazz I feel like you're i that implying Trouble in Tokyo wasn't already a piece of garbage
I saw Greg Cipes at Comic Con and he said their looking into getting a deal with either Netflix or Adult Swim. You can leave Go for the kids but us adult want a the true Teen Titans back I think the people who loved the original would surly watch a season 6.
They are?
J Turner that’s what Greg Cipes said at least. I would think he would know he is in fact the voice of Beast Boy
Either revive this for 1-2 seasons or kill Teen Titans Go is what I'd do, but we all know one of those options isn't going to happen for a long, long time. If we let Teen Titans continue for too long it'd eventually get stale or awkward, unless they started falling back on more comic book based events, like, idk, Robin becoming Nightwing? I don't really read too many comics but I know there's a plethora of interesting stories in there
Tbh, I doubt a continuation of the original Teen Titans will even happen. Given all the reasons you gave (TTG dominating the network, story driven shows being ignored on the network,a more emphasis on comedy than action) and plus the ridiculous goal that the team is asking for a "6th season" it's as likely as something like Megas XLR to come back. As in, I have strong doubt.
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade who want it, but idek if it'll as great as the original seasons if it came back. Like look at Hey Arnold The Jungle Movie and Samurai Jack Season 5. I trusted those would be amazing cause the original team was there and there was a somewhat big push for both.
Now with this, yeah you have a push but will we have the original talent. Will it do something entirely different? Will it even be the same show as it was in the 2000's?
All this and more I just feel like it be nice, but Cartoon Network I don't think will do it. :( it's sad but unless there's a big freaking push and the team reassures the fan this is not just dangling a carrot in front of the fans, then I don't think it will come back ever. At least from my perspective.
Super Gamer61499 I think it can happen, but probably not on Cartoon Network or Adult Swim.
J Turner Idk. I mean that worked for Samurai Jack Season 5. But DC probably might say no or disagree with what should be in that season.
They probably would which is why it should probably be on DC Universe.
@@SuperGamer61499 they could put it on dc universe which could really help the streaming service get more subscribers
Why not just give it the samurai jack treatment and put it on adult swim? That way you separate the audiences that TT and TTG appeal to, give TT the creative freedom to appeal better to to the audience that grew up with it, and any kind of advertisement for each series can be better directed towards their intended demographics.
After what they did with Samurai Jack, I think Teen Titans season 6 belongs on Adult Swim.
I would bring it back so it could have an ending. But that is only because I find things that don't have an end more of an insult then anything. It would be like reading a book that was made to stop you from killing your self that ended right before it told you why you should not do it but went into details on the how to. And yes I have read a book like that. Technically the why you should not do it was going to be the part 2 but after the first book that was pretty much the dummy's guide to killing yourself bombed hard you would understand why there was no part 2. Got to say thou it does give me new ways to joke about killing myself. Granted it worries Dan and Samantha. Wait what was we talking about I lost track?
3:36 I don't think the differences between the two shows would hurt Teen Titans.
How'd the elephant get in your room let alone the house? These are the important questions. XD
with the show actually coming back i think the best place for the show would be the DC streaming service. With that only releasing recently, WB are gonna want as many shows as they can get on it. Just like S3 of Young Justice, if they want the season to be more true to the fans who are now much older the DC streaming sounds the most promising
I would actually enjoy a sixth season that broke the fourth wall and explored the downfall of the original titans and how the "Go" titans replaced them. It could even end in a battle between the new and old titans. It would be a controversial but bold move that would at the very least attract attention.
what about adult swim? it's a different demographic, you can get away with a lot more and you get a series for the adults and the children
Before I watch this, I just wanna say that’d I’d push for an ending, not a reboot or remake
I think this is when adult swim Jr steps in.
9:23 WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT??? YES YES YES YES YES!
Abas: phh no be carefull and I'll get me elephant back anyway its an heads or tails situation
I would rather them make a new Teen Titans show with a different influence (instead of basing everything teen titans 2003) like having Robin, Aqua Lad, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Speedy, Star fire, etc. Or even make a show that fits in the bruce Tim universe just to fix that one line in static shock.
Isn't Young Justice basically that.
That giant elephant joke was really clever.
I would revive. But you're right it's all about timing. I think they should wait another year before releasing any guarantees. At least until the new CN shows air in 2019 or possibly 2020
I'd only hope for a 6th season so I can finally get closure (I gotta know who Red X is man....). But yeah, I totally agree with you. Airing a new season right now would be a mistake and would probably be shown less than a side character on the Fairly Oddparents
ComicKnightZero Unless it aired on DC Universe.
J Turner ^True
I would go out of sheer curiosity, but it’s not available in my region.
You know, if they were to revive it, I would think it may be a good idea putting it on Netflix if they were to do it know.
Honestly it’s gonna happen but the issue is whether or not if it goes on Cartoon Network and adult swim
hey great video
3:15 to 4:57 the truest thing I have ever heard. What fans of tt don't seem to understand is that ttg is targeted towards cn's dominant demographic. Even if tt is better children may still watch ttg more, because of their sense of nostalgia.
No, I wouldn't revive it. Not on CN as is, at least.
I'd put it somewhere else (God knows where).
Why not Adult Swim like with Samurai Jack?
FrickenDweeb I feel like Adult Swim would work, but I think I'd air too late for any good rating...
I hope it's successful and becomes a long running series getting like maybe 9 seasons? I'd love that.
I wouldn’t revive it. The older kids who grew up with it would have probably left cn by now and the younger kids wouldnt really know the original. It would be too confusing for the demographic
MadMax19921 Not if it was on DC Universe.
You are my fav cartoon channel i think, after Cartoon Network :)
u have one of the best channels
I agree. Not yet.
I would because it's my childhood to continue the story. Netflix could help out.
Hey jay I really would revive teen titans because I grew up with the show, I just miss the show because the only show I would watch was teen titans
im gonna pull the "throw it on adult swim" card
I remember when I was 9 I was watching teen Titans at about 11:00 to 11:30 and my mom came in and turned it off before I knew what happened at Starfire's wedding
I still don't know what happened
Wish I did
I would revive it, cuz' why not
Edit: ALSO 100K, WOOOOOOOO
you could just send it to the dc streaming service. or do an adult swim kinda thing like samurai jack.
I personally wouldn't, it's just not gonna do well with Teen Titans Go on air.
CallMeAWeeb iFunny Maybe not on TV, but on DC Universe I think it would.
J Turner probably
Can you do a review on the Adventure Time Minecraft special
I'd say give it one more season and then a full length TV movie. That sounds about perfect to me.
If TTG and TT would be aired in the same network,
then just cancel TTG :')
Closer would be nice if jack got that it would be nice if titans did and we got more then that live action thing
Honestly I don’t care about spoilers since I may not like the movie of teen titans go or the tv show
i would love to see it return, but you bring up (almost) too many valid points. Yes, under the right circumstances, it would thrive, but (and i say this with minimal knowledge of the CN schedule) it does seem that current CN doesnt have anything like it, and it would be alienating at worst, and polarizing at best. It doesnt seem like there are any plans to kill go, especially after just making a movie, but for the original to thrive in a revival, it would need 2 major changes to the network itself including the end of go and a few other action shows added to validate its prime demographic. A long shot possibility that would make more sense if it was feasible would be a new network under the same brand that has a more "serious" focus. But the biggest issue there is money, and discussing the possibility is a conversation for another time.
personally, i think a well made tv movie could be enough closure, but it would feel a little weird to get JUST a movie after such a long absence, unless they pull out some marketing gods for the event... :P Still need to go binge through the original 5 seasons again, and I might change my mind after the fact...
At this point what i find most likely to happen would be a movie or a TV special to end the story. Since i doubt there are already plans to end TTG.
I just wanna get a fulfilling conclusion ;_;
id more so reboot it reviving it would be dumb because its been so long and a new show would be better than what we have now
I understand all your points but kids wouldn't even care if they had to play catch up because if they recognize the characters they would give it a chance and watch it
I would definitely revive the show for season 6 and season 7, giving Starfire the story arc she deserves.
Is it possible they'll rerun the show as opposed to Season 6? Cuz I'm alright with whatever happens
I think it should be revived, at some point, for the same reason Samurai Jack got revived: Closure. Take Avatar: TLA, it is widely considered one of the GOATs of cartoon history. It also only has 3 seasons but you don't see people demanding more seasons of it. Why? Because it got closure.
For one thing, Teen Titans had seasons centered on certain characters. The odd one out being Starfire. One reason people want it back is to give her that arc. The other thing is that Teen Titans ended with a bunch of unanswered questions, some of which are probably meant to stay unanswered. But then you have stuff like Things Change. Ironically, this episode was probably made as a metaphor for the audience saying "Show's over, move on" and yet it has been the main subject of most fan theories for nearly two decades and one of the driving reasons to revive the show because one way or another, Terra is now at large again and the idea of her just becoming an amnesiac(?) schoolgirl forever apparently doesn't set right with most fans. Will she return to the scene? Is that girl even Terra at all (I don't think so.)? Will she fall back to villainy or have a Zuko style redemption? Fans have been dwelling on these questions ever since that episode.
If it's based in toy sales I'll load up on teen titan figures.
If it was on Netflix yes. But since CN seems to want to air it on their Network, it doesn't seem like it will thrive.
I wouldn't, because it doesn't need one. The final season did a fine job concluding everything, from introducing other young heroes to bringing together all the vilains back in some form, to giving us some closure on Terra and how Beast Boy (and the audience) needs to grow up and move on. I would revive other superhero shows that were genuinely cut short and didn't finish their stories, like Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Beware the Batman.
I disagree.
Okay? How?
The Final episode felt tacked on, plus Slade Appeared out of nowhere.
I agree. The whole Terra story wasn't something that really DEMANDED a conclusion. I guess they wanted to give the fans one last taste of Terra and Slade (via android) before they left.
GamerSlyRatchet1 Now they should have him be taken down once and for all.
Alright I got it, cancel teen Titans go and put all the efforts on the actual good teen Titans
No, too many years have passed and we live in different times now. Let it stay untouched with its dignity intact.
I think an adult swim/toonami season could MAYBE work, but it would be a stretch. Beyond that, I'm in the minority in believing that the final episode of Teen Titans was perfect and a great way to end the series. So, no, I wouldn't revive the show.
Maybe you couldn't revive Teen Titans, but you could make your own fan-fictions and AUs about it.
my guess is they're going to do a new TV movie. like trouble in Tokyo.
honestly i don't think TT needs to come back in full... i felt the show wrapped up pretty well. all the baddies are on ice. the last episode felt kind of out of place and wrapped up the terra thing with her wanting nothing to do with it. and slade being taken out by batman offscreen when he realized DEATHSTROKE was picking on kids...
ScottaHemi Slade was dealt with by Batman offscreen? Since when?
I mean, I would love them to continue with the next season. But Im worried that it might get fucked up a bit in some way.
If we do get Teen Titans season 6 wouldn't it makes sense to put it on DC Universe, you know the streaming service that focuses on DC related content and that needs more content? I'm a bit surprised that not more people are bringing this up. Sure, I would rather have it on Cartoon Network or Adult Swim but, putting up all of Teen Titans and a new season could be a good selling point for that streaming service.
Ben Eisel It would be a great selling point.
Ben Eisel
You're absolutely right! That, along with Young Justice Season 3, could definitely pull in a lot of customers for the streaming service.
I wouldn't pay for it. It's another streaming service using a backlog and not a lot of new interesting stuff.
Why does everyone just assume that season 6 would come back on Cartoon Network? I personally think that it's much more likely that it will come back on Adult Swim/Toonami like Samurai Jack did, or the DCU streaming platform like with Young Justice.
i think at most i should 1 or 4 episode special
I have a question will you revive invader zim as a show
0:51 I 💗 Starfire from teen titans, when I was a 🧒🏻.
Nicolas Cage finally got his wish.
Yes It Was A Big Part Of My Teenage Years
Same I would at least wait till 2023 so unless can wants a spongebob the revival will shine
Honestly I would revive the original because when teen titans go came out the 1st couple were funny at first till they overuse the same humor of randomness and also the fact that they poke fun at Robin in the reboot. I mean its ok for CN to have the show as to gain more views from children but also they air Go way to much to where it takes up the whole day.
I can't sport go for it's lazy manipulative practices and hate to all but the target audience and titans had a movie
