I'm sorry, but no government across the globe got this spot on in regards to handling the virus. It's a totally unprecedented event. The reporter just wants another headline as to what they did wrong oppose to what we can do In the future to protect ourselves! She is trying to attribute the deaths to the way the government handled policies around the virus. The UK has been the most transparent country relating to virus data. So far the government has done a good job.IMO.

Medical advice has become the thing that keeps changing governments action, it happens in all world governments some countries had very good medical advisor those who followed world health organisation recommendations, start off completely on the wrong foot right from the start.
BBC's, own agenda pushing just added to the confusion it should be retired, made totally commercial and only exist if anybody wants to watch it.
The way the media is a lot of people are not getting good information, it's good information that allows people will make good choices, the only way is to keep freedom of choice no Law going to stop a virus, only individual responsibly.

Please Boris, just admit mistakes were made, confirm we have learned from them and have a clear strategy in case of another nationwide outbreak. Transparency is key so the nation has confidence in the government to deal with a second wave. If we had shut down the country a week earlier we as a nation would have saved many lives but also 10's leading up to low 100's of Billions in taxpayer money.
We made mistakes and it was unprecedented, we can accept that, we as voters can accept the past mistakes but if our Prime Minister can't then maybe as voters we should not forget the mistakes made and hold the government accountable for the many lives lost and the economic cost.
