There are no useful videos on TH-cam about the Primavera/Sprint 150 3-valve engine when it comes to a complete overhaul. I therefore had high hopes that Robot would finally close this gap with this series about the Primavera 3V engine in his usual and sympathetic manner as he did previously with the GTS and P200E. The first episode was great, very comprehensive and informative and I was eagerly awaiting episode two, which unfortunately has been never released. The disassembly of the engine housing and the inspection of the individual parts are not shown and this video deals directly with the assembly. I think that's a shame, this series could have become the standart for DIY engine overhauls on the Piaggio 3V engine. Robot, if you still have this footage saved somewhere, please make a YT video out of it for us.

The engine is so simple. I only know the 2 stroke ones, but now I'm tempted to get a beater 4 stroke.

Seems like with some reasonable care and maintenance these 150’s could last forever.
Do we have a similar upgrade with full circular crankshaft for LX 125?

Why not just put a new timing chain in while you have access?
