    Just stating a fact fella. Power steering pump running pressure is 100 to 150 average. When turning the steering wheel that will go up to 1000 to 1500 PSI. Resistance to flow determines pressure. I have to make me one. Nice work fella too. VF

    7.3 L gang! About to do the same thing. Except I wasn't going to mix the oil w the diesel fuel 50/50. Is that necessary or can I do the rear tank as oil only? Thanks

    @bearendproductions So what year is your Powerstroke, I running an 02 7.3L by filtering it down to 5 micron. So far no issues but I am going to upgrade to a centrifuge system?

    I'm still using the turkey fryer method for WVO for my 6.9. Though I admit putting 5 gallons of motor oil on an open flame would be pretty sketchy, my cost per gallon is about $0.05.

      What’s the turkey fryer method?

    • @MacClay8
      @MacClay8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mattleonard5268 Essentially, I bought a Bayou Classic turkey fryer, which is literally just a 5ish gallon pot and a stand with a propane burner. I pour the used vegetable oil into the pot, heat it to about 230f (at my altitude, I should be able to get away with 205f, but I wanted to be thorough and wasn't sure how water would behave submerged at the time, etc) and then dump it into a filtration set up. The idea being that the act of pouring the oil into the set up that way would allow the water to evaporate out. Either it works well, or these engines don't care, since I haven't had any detectable water damage to the fuel system on either truck I've run it on.
      It's not the safest, pouring 5 gallons of 230f oil into a funnel, and I used to have to get up on a step ladder since I had it drain into a 55g barrel and wasn't using a pump for any of it. I built this system back when hurricane Katrina hit the gulf and regular gas hit $4 a gallon. I didn't have the money to build a better set up at the time, and it worked for long enough that I hadn't bothered trying to improve it until about a year ago. I never spilled enough on myself for an actual burn, though it was kind of hell on my back when I would process 20+ of the cube jugs at one go.
      The newer system I've been building is pretty much the same thing, just with a high temperature oil pump to pump the oil into the filtration setup so I don't have to do the lifting I was doing before. I've also been working on a better way to get the oil from the storage into the truck, as the crank pump I was using for that gets pretty tedious as well.

    Nice video. Just want to mention, you guys have dirt cheap fuel in the US. Here in northern Europe, 1 litre (0.26 us gallon) of diesel costs currently 1.4 eur, which is something around 1.6usd. Gasoline is slightly more expensive.

    I'm really familiar with running WVO and have been researching WMO. How long and how many miles have you ran your 7.3 powerstroke on WMO? Have you tried any higher ratios than 50/50? Thanks for the info. These small centrifuges are an awesome value!

      I heard in other people video. U can run 100% with two tank system . Start and finish on diesel

  • @blakew5397
    @blakew5397 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So I am Looking to get into this also. I have a few questions for you. First, you said you run 10 perfect gas and then cut 50/50 with diesel on top of that? What is the purpose of that? A lot of people seem to say 80 percent oil and then 20 percent gas and then run it. I’ll be running it in a 7.3 so if this mix works well then I’m certainly all about it . Second, does that centrifuge not have a motor on it? Does it just use the pressurized oil to spin it? Third, from what I can tell you simply have a 55 gallon drum, you fill it with oil, then just have the oil continuously cycle through until it’s clean? There isn’t a holding tank or anything like that right? Thank you so much for the help. I’m really looking to save some money with this

    • @bearsendproductions1843
      @bearsendproductions1843  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I cut with 10 percent gas then run it 50/50 with diesel its cleaner less smell and it can get cold here so straight is too thick
      Also I would add a larger centrifuge that runs off a motor it cleans much faster
      Add the gas to the dirty oil then clean it
      It will help clean it and blend together better
      After about an hour of running the oil temp is 120 so you dont need a heater good luck it's well worth the money

    • @Scott_Buchanan

      It would be too thick, your trying to match the viscosity of normal diesel fuel.
