    Good video and coverage. Thank you for filming the big obstacles and not stupid easy spots. Great coverage of the trail! Been going there for years and love it

      I'm glad that you liked it, and I'm glad that you think that I captured most of the obstacles. I just want to make videos that help people to enjoy the trails and encourage folks to go run them. I appreciate the feedback!

    My Son and GrandSon and I drove that trail several years ago. My Son's Jeep had 33s long arm kit, and ARB in both ends. GrandSon's was the same except with the Jeep lockers. I had a 2012 Polaris 550 quad. It took us 8 hours to go 7 miles. I had to winch so many times that I would not even wind up the winch cable, I just wrapped it around my chain-saw rack. It just destroyed the underneath of my quad. I had to cut it all off when I got home. LOL I beefed it up with 1/4" plate with 3/8" plastic on the 1/4" plate. I said that I would never do that trail again, but I might, just to see if my armor-plating held up. Both Jeeps had to winch a few times. That was the hardest trail I have ever went on. It makes the Rubicon look like a freeway. It is beautiful country though. I have done the Rubicon alone several times, but I would never want to do Fordyce by my self. I was alone at Moab, so I tagged along with 3 Jeeps. It was a blast. By the way, this is a nice video, I enjoyed it.

      Thanks! I'm glad that you liked the vid. I'm with you on the difficulty of this trail. I've ran Rubicon twice and Fordyce twice. To me, your analogy is dead on! Bring your big boy pants to both, but bring your Superman game to Fordyce.

    Great vid! I have not run the trail in years. Looking rough and tough still. Excellent group of Jeeps with great drivers behind the wheel.

    Nice camera work. A lot of people get so close that all you can see is one tire going over a rock.

    Is that near the rubicon kinda looks like ?

    • @MrGreen0966
      @MrGreen0966  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, sort of. As the crow flies it is fairly close. But given the mountain roads, it is about an hour's drive from where the Rubicon comes out at Lake Tahoe. I plan to do a 4x4 Places video to show where it is at and how to get there. Thanks for watching!

    How did that Tan 4 door rubicon mount the rack on the soft top/ bikini top? That is incredibly awesome! I didn't have a chance to get out on fordyce this year. yet!

    • @Intentsrig
      @Intentsrig 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      or is it silver? lol

    • @MrGreen0966
      @MrGreen0966  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is actually tan. I asked the owner about the rack and he said that it is made by Rhino and brackets are from Maximus-3. He had to put holes in the soft top for the mounting hardware. There are rubber washers sandwiched on both sides of the holes in the top. He washed it and it didn't leak but some water pooled in the low spots. He says that it is somewhat difficult to take on and off.

      A Jeep Named MrGreen Thanks. I may try something like that with a Bikini top

    Nice haven’t done it yet looked like pretty deep water

    • @MrGreen0966
      @MrGreen0966  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was deeper this time than when I last ran the trail in 2011. We try to go the week of the Sierra Trek event. The power company drops the water level for the event, but since the event starts on Thursday, we are taking a risk early in the week. Regardless, the first water crossing is the deepest. The second can be challenging if they haven't reduced the flow yet. So far, we have been lucky. If you want to run this trail for the first time, I recommend joining the Sierra Trek event. They will take good care of you.

    Why are the kids in the blue rig not wearing 4 points? Cool video but safety first!

    • @RCKRATZ
      @RCKRATZ 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      My bad. Rest of the vid they are wearing stock belts other than the water crossing.

    • @MrGreen0966

      It was a new Jeep to the driver so he may not have had time to make any mods. It could be personal choice as well, but I don't know for sure.

    Nice video but the irritating soundtrack kills the fun. Tan four door needs to shorten the trash bag hanger. Rubbing like that usually leads to trash getting strewn all along trail.

    • @MrGreen0966
      @MrGreen0966  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I debated a good bit about adding music. It is just that it turned out to be such a longer video than I wanted. So I tried to distract from the length with a soundtrack.

      Tires chirping on rocks is music! Great video. We were there for sierra trek.
