I was similar to Bobby. DARE was a thing and a cop brought a display case into school to show us paraphernalia. They wanted us to call the cops if we saw them. But it just looked like magical talismans from Dungeons and Dragons and they were all 'evil'. I remember a health class textbook section on drugs and I went through making notes on which drugs I wanted to try and which I would avoid. I ended up trying most of the ones I said I wouldn't. That's the danger of inaccurate and incomplete antidrug education like DARE. I had tried weed and I knew it was not a big deal so them equating weed and heroin or coke made me mistrust the information completely. If you want to teach your kids not to use drugs, DON'T LIE TO THEM.
I hope people understand that God wants his children to get high because of his example, telling kids that aspiring to be like the most high is the basic value of Christianity and I want to be part of a Christian nation and controlled substances offend God as well as they destroy free markets.
I over dosed on GHB at 19 and instead of scaring me, it made me think ," I'm invincible " I struggled with drugs for the next 10 years . Grateful I am 7 years clean now.

In my early 20s my step dad called my house drunk as hell wanting to antagonize me. This was the early cell phone days but he called my home phone. When i answered the first thing he said was "where you at?" I had been over to the house earlier that day and saw the bottle he had hid from my mom. I watered it down even and told my sister if he got to actin dumb it was gonna be the last time. He did show up at my house that night. We scuffled i guess youd call it... I just apun him and restrained him. He had a big ass bowie knife on his hip yhat i had a bad flash of anger when i noticed it cuz i emptied my pockets before he showed up... Like... Why did you bring that? I literally just flung it somewhere. But when he went home i got a call from my mom about beating up an old man... Idk.. it helps to realize if youre around our age that was almost a right of passage i guess.

My friend stopped using heroin with Kratoms help only problem now is that she uses that everyday & claims she's hooked on it I do believe that has alot to do with her addiction issues without the therapy I don't think she will ever be able to stop 😢
