I'm glad there are some old videos left of Houdini's act. If he had been born earlier modern audiences would never have had the chance to see this legend in action.
End The Storm no, born earlier is right. Born later would be if they said modern audiences WOULD get to see this legend in action. But since he said would NEVER, it'd be born earlier.
Maybe not the greatest magician of all time, but probably the most influential and revolutionary. People today are jogging circles around Houdini just because we know so much more about magic now and so many new principles have been devised, but he really made his mark.
What a true talent Houdini was. Even by today's standards, I believe he would still be a huge star. I think Houdini would also appreciate the talented performers of today, as well.
They didn't have video back then, it was all filmed on film. It's a miracle that any film from that era survived because it was so fragile but a lot of it has.
I wish I'd been around to see him live. With out Houdini we wouldn't have the likes of Derren Brown, Dynamo etc....he is the giant upon whos shoulders everyone else stands. Truely astounding.
Gotta remember it was the 1910s so you would probably get like $10 total from it. But then again rare America currency is worth a lot so just sell all of it for like 10 million dollars and you’re set for life.

alexa rodriguez - I believe that's at least halfway the point of the original comment: no cell phone cameras existed, and as such neither did the urge to film everything. As a result, people just paid attention so they could remember every detail.

Just how hard is it to escape from a straight jacket? I've never tried nor will I ever. It seems like one of them things that seems impossible because we don't know how to do it, and that if you practice it would get easier and easier (but it'd obviously never become easy.)
Its simple (feal free to follow with video) first when they cross your arms you puff out uour chess and grab som fabric through the sleeves than when suspended let go of the fabric and push your upper arm towards the side with the arm underneath to give that arm more room than you bring the arm over your head and your arms are free and its getting the clamps off after thaf
