@JonSmith-hk1bq , Yes! I was thinking that!! The hatters must have made a fortune. I was actually looking quite hard to see anyone who wasn't wearing a hat. I could see no one! Some of Houdini's stunts are still a mystery to this day, which I think is great! Dave.
clicked to see houdini, ended up staying for the whole package . really neat and interesting to see how it was back than, amazing footage, absolutely incredible !
Wow!!! Now that's some great stuff!! And the soundtrack by Ben Model fits like a glove in the vintage footages. Houdini clearly was a very strong man with some amazing abilities. Great work!!!
@marctoleds6259 He certainly was incredible!! Very strong and could hold his breath apparently for quite a long time. I know he trained himself to be able to hold his breath for a long time. I also heard that he would hide lock picks in the most uncomfortable of places when he did his naked escape routines!! 😖😖. Dave.

@@colinmontgomery1956 yeah but only because this is the famous Houdini and the footage is over 100 years ago. Correct me if I’m wrong. Quite amazing though.

The master showman when he can pull 10,000 people to escape from handcuffs underwater totally amazing. Which is probably why I followed it is footsteps for 30 years
I like the fashions. Hats. Coats. Men were more closer then. Women dressed and behaved better than the women of today. Etiquette was even written on signs then.
The way Houdini was tied upside down in the last part of the show was that he was tied with a pulley or ( fool)in symbolism, while there are three lines attached to the pulley then another line diagonal, a right angle. Probably its not just Houdini's skills displayed in that video but also the hidden things, the fooley symbol, the right angle in geometrical angulars in science, the Threes in a law, and the magic that Houdini practices aside from his proven escape artist skills. Hmmm Different forces and knowledge comes into play to free Houdini for a show. Hows the percentage for each? He he! Another is Harry Houdini tied on a stage being hold by 3 men, then while he is doing the movement to untie him, theres the multitude of crowd mostly with hats of the saucer type. Then in the middle of the show theres crowd movement wherein the saucer type men with hats was slowly replaced and inserted with men with palos hats, in filipino palos plus sot is palusot or attempt to cover up and escape as symbolism though the palos hats have irregular shape and soft at the top which cannot be easily penetrated by wavelengths because some waves will bounce off in another direction while a saucer like hat mostly have concave or flat indented hard hats which can be penetrated by waves designed to work on non stealth shape hats without edges, my personal question, would that be that the counter to UFO sensors are irregular soft shapes because UFO shape hats were like hats of MIB or Men In Black like in a movie?

So glad there is still footage of Houdini even after over 100 years. It really is interesting.
Watching this, I can only think... Man we really need to bring hats back into fashion. Just look at those seas of hats.
It will come after 50 years , fashion is nothing but imitation of fashion
Every man is handsome in a fedora
I I don't think so somehow

If I could go back in time, I’d sell hats.
so true
I can imagine a few wallets dramagically disapeared within that crowd.
Oh yes, in the biography of Houdini, it was said that pickpocketers had a field day with that.
Thank you so much for making this treasure available to us

3:30 All hats, not one single beard.
I NOTICED EVERYONE WITH A HAT TOO. HATTERS WERE MAKING MONEY.
It has always been beyond me why someone would have a beard. Particularly, a young otherwise attactive man. It is the hallmark of laziness.

For those who are unsure, Houdini is the one without the hat.
I can’t believe Harry Houdini was able to do all those tricks

Whats the usage like for this footage. Since it was all publicly done does that make the footage usable in video projects?
