I have it running into composters then over to my surface cane and bamboo farm also made it 3 times so it’s a square with the sugarcane/bamboo farm as the fourth wall seems to feed bone meal decent
I'm pretty sure it's just abusing the slower tick speed of minecraft bedrock. Using the falling sand as a timer that can time between ticks, causes the kelp to despawn but it happens so fast that the game registers it as the kelp plant was always there
I found the fix for bedrock 1.21.1 it sometimes breaks so you have to hook up a observer clock with 3 repeaters on one tic and hook that redstone to where the lever goes it will break when you remove the redstone power but put the sand and kelp back and it works perfectly
All you need a a repeating redstone clock of any kind have a redstone line going right towards the lever in his video and on that line place 3 repeateors and click/tap each of them once
Does anyone else have the kelp side breaking on you all the time? I have it hooked up to smokers and auto crafters, making kelp blocks to power itself and a furnace array. But like I said, the kelp farm keeps breaking.
It needs to run for a while before you get a decent amount of XP from it. If you're pulling an item from it every minute, you're only getting 1 minute's worth of cooked kelp. I built this and left it running AFK for about 10 minutes and got a significant amount of XP from it. I also built an auto crafter to turn the kelp into dried kelp blocks to then feed back into it so it's self-sustaining.
Anyone know exactly how the furnace xp thing works? I know typically if you use a furnace to smelt a stack, when you grab the stack out you get all of the xp. How does that work with hoppers pulling the items out?
so furnaces hold onto the xp untill it is either destroyed or an item is removed. when you normally pull something from a furnace, you pull the xp with it. the hoppers pull the item but leave the xp behind as hoppers don't interact with xp. so if you leave this farm for say 5 mins, it will just accumulate all the xp from all the smelted kelp and give it to you when you pull 1 dried kelp.
hello, I do the farm as like in the video but when I wan't to take the XP from the smocker I only receive the XP for one item. I think the XP doesn't stack in the smockers even though I have the lever in the right position. The farm is patch ?? And if it's not the case why do my farm doesn't work ? (Sorry if my english is bad)
The more kelp you cook, the better. You could let this thing run until it smelts a couple stacks. Then you can flick the lever and get great amounts of exp
@@Billygoat44 I meant that you flick the lever and, as shown on the video, the hopper locks so you can actually get the cooked items from inside the smoker instead of the hopper taking them to the chest
I’ve built this on the PS4 Bedrock version and it works great. Right now I’m playing the PS5 Preview Beta and it doesn’t work. Sand breaks on the sticky pistons and the sand on top of the regular piston ends up dropping. I made sure the build was within a chunk. No luck.
Is this farm broken now? I am at least 3 blocks away from chunk border on all directions. No sand in the part you said to check. And both the set of pistons work like normal.
Yo Blaze my kelp farm was in one chunk, was working perfectly for awhile, all of a sudden it stopped working, it doesn’t grow the kelp at 0-tick anymore, I wish I had more information but do you have any suggestions?
Dude thank you so much for the kelp super location I built it in between two chunks and it didn’t work and I spent an hour relaying to fix it. And then I saw this video.
@@BlazedMCs Can you make a viedo how to fix it by slowing it down I wrote a comment how to do it but someone else asked if I can make a video but I don't make videos so can you make it ?
if you travel to the nether or to far away the sand breaks, he does tell you to turn it off before you walk away (it might be different for me because I'm on a realm though.)
Put the sand back in. Unfortunately, because it is utilizing buggy mechanics to run, it may sometimes malfunction. Do not leave it running and go outside your chunk loading distance (typically 4 chunks or 64 blocks away). I also found that it broke when I ran another farm that used pistons (I have a gold farm right next to it).

Mine was working untill today now it's not anyone else?
Bro, thank you, but also, can you please get the ingredients list correct? It needed more than 1 stack of blocks, 12 chests, 3 buckets of water,
I agree %100 this was a very good and fairly easy build but was very annoying having to go get extra materials because the list was incorrect.
thank you so much, i tried it before with another video but i think the chunk border advice really made it work!
Glad it helped!
