Started my career off driving Volvo with AAA Cooper Trans. I've since drove Peterbilt, international and Freightliners... I must say this video made me fall in love with Volvo all over again!
When I first subscribed to your channel TB, before I got my CDL a couple months ago, I wanted be a Peterbilt driver, most of my family were, but after doing majority of my training in a Volvo VNL 780, I’ve been converted to a Volvo guy and I can’t wait till I get my hands on the new VNL 860
I had a 2007 780. I loved that truck to death. Plenty of power, Was the most comfortable drive Ive ever had in a truck or even a car. The only thing I did not like about it was it had the 1st gen Volvo auto. Was not an I-shift. 1 or 2cd gear was the only two gears you could start out in, even bobtail. The table is the best thing in that truck if you ask me. Pull off at the end of the day, set up the Laptop, turn on the TV, cook some food and relax without being crammed into a bed/bench like on the others. If I ever go back OTR first stop is a Volvo dealer. I did hear the newer ones even come with a fold out sink and a 50 gallon Water tank(25 fresh 25 gray), sure its an option.
All these -features- that have been here for ages should be standard equipment. They milk another 100k out of costumer for "extra" -features-. Greed is a nasty thing
Globetrotter isn't the top of the line. And you have open options spots on the dash. I drove a base Vnl fleet truck from 2012 and it has most of these stuff...
how many guys can say they drove the first intergral sleeper. basically it was a Volve/white roadboss with built in sleeper. totally changed the industry. then it became volvo/white/Gmc and became a beautiful truck. really hasn't changed much in the last 30 years or so. from the outside
I wonder did ever bring the Euro Volvo engine here to the US ? Like one in Europe running 750 HP by the factory. Be nice run that through Montana don't have to slow down going uphill.
get down trucker brown! i love it ! ive been 18years in my wia , in your other videos i hear you liking on Volvos after driving almost everything , so my new truck i think will be a 08 vnl 64t430 tri x with a dumpbody hopefully a big step up from the old wia- im getting old and fat-igued as in fat and fatigued- like my truck is also. lol you said that you liked dump trucks mine is very unique, well you can check out my old wia sleepercab dumptruck on my nomadic videos adventures if you want, im liking your reviews and a 1st time viewer today !
I actually just drove one of these 1700 miles round haul road great very comfy but from a stop it lacked hp with the heavy haul I had but all in all nice truck but ill stay with my PB its what I know
Codguy....that is totall crap. The 750Hp Engines are d16 6zylinders Inline. You get Software Updates here in Europa to even generate 900plus hp And those Engines still hold up.....volvo 6 and Scania v8 are awesome engines
As anyone who drives in Europe knows lugging 40t of lemons out of malaga up to the border crossing at irun in Spain knows, that 750hp makes all the difference to your life. I suppose the reason why us trucks only have 455 is that max tonnage is restricted to 25t or thereabouts,
New Dash my arse.... that's the same dash i had in an '03 European spec FH12. i stopped watching after the 'Salesman'. said the Windscreen/shield wipers came on automatically when raining (new, optional extra LOL !) that was also standard on the 03 model. The good thing about the US truck is the Sleeper, lot more space to live in, but not practical on European roads. I also found that the narrower cab (on a US Truck) a bit claustrophobic/cramped after a few hours driving. Oh, and on another note, i did notice comments made about lack of BHP, i remember when trucks still had 180 Gardners/Rolls Royce/Perkins/Cummings. You were a real 'King of The Road', if you had a 220bhp truck. Sat on a Orange Box, blanket round your knees to keep warm, tell that to the kids today, and they don't believe you.
Drivers kill me with that BS about one truck is better than the other. "You're trucks going to be in the shop more". Listen children, ride by any truck dealer or shop and guess what, they all will have a shop full of trucks and a yard full of trucks waiting to get in the shop. Some trucks have more room, some have different features but when it comes down to it, it's all about personal preference. It doesn't matter what truck you get, if you keep it long enough, it's going to the shop. And if you don't like the volvo engine then just order it with a cummins. I don't prefer the volvo engine simply because only volvo can work on it.
shape world15 yes because the Volvo I’m in is a 2015 and this trashy ass truck keeps going bad the fuel tank on one side went bad.. lights go out so fast.. just a lot of fuel problems smdh
Not really I own a 2016 Volvo with the 600hp cummings .it's been a lot better truck then kenworth I owned kenworth before your paying for the name that's all. I get 14mpg empty 10 mpg loaded. You can't do that in a kenworth
I just got into a 2019 T680 after driving Volvo's for years. Volvo is better in a thousand different ways. I will miss Volvo. I'm even contemplating becoming an owner-operator just so I can get back in a Volvo.
Captain Win how exactly? Is it that they are limited on speed (slower) and is it because you can drive only 8 hours only? And for your info this is still european truck but just in America.
In Europe you can drive 9h a day and extend it to 10h a day if I remember correctly, 3 times a week. And the gauge cluster in new american volvo looks the same as older volvos in Europe, new volvos in Europe have completly different dashboard that looks better in my mind
In United States you can drive 11 hours x day , take a 34 hours reset after 60 hours on 7 days or 70 hours on 8 days . The reason why in the USA trucks look so old is because drivers , they like and want the old school look with minimum technology. The less technology you have in the truck the better the repairs and maintenance , less tech and sensors make the truck more reliable... Here we have a lot of drivers that have 20-40 years experience so they are very stubborn about what they want in a truck . The industry is changing with the new school of drivers but is going to take decades to reach European level if ever happens , in the USA truck manufactures keep the same interior design for 20 years even if the exterior change with minimum updates .
as an owner I look for cost effective, most efficient, lowest maintenance, and highest value. This is why I have T800 and W900 gliders with Series 60s. My specialized haulers are W900s and 379s with C18 Cats. I would no more buy an emissions engine than fly to the moon especially a Volvo or anything with a cumapart. The regen cooks your engine and is a maintenance nightmare that is super expensive to service and replace. The worst part is it does ZERO as far as emissions go vs a Series 60. Go ahead and waste money on this plastic POS and Ill laugh when my gliders pass you up a hill and when youre in having that thing worked on. These trucks arent capable of living up to the hype.
i hear you as a O/o also, i just got a 08 pre DEF heavy hauler but most wont go your route or mine even if it make sense to us and is probably the most cost effective way at least in my book, both our ways are simpler to maintain our trucks but kind of a pain in the anus to plan and build our trucks out to our liking, we dont just go to a dealer and lay down the cash - my build takes planing and figuring but the end result for me is well worth it- just sayin
I'm soooo, so happy with never ever having to play with or climb around a set of sticks ever again. And I have to admit, the Volvo FH double clutch box changes far quicker, more efficiently and silently than I ever did !
Started driving 670 and 780 models in 2006....They were very tight cabs no wind noise in a headwind in cab. As the years go by quality continues to erode...now in a 2018 670 model nosiy cab, way to much wind noise and I don't know what is wrong but they are like trying to push a sow backwards down the road..What happened Volvo?? Poor workmanship rattletraps now... And the steering wheel could you add more useless shit to it please? If you dare touch your forearm in the dark it cancels headlights...real smart....and has Volvo fixed there radiator problem? Radiator being lowest point...good grief you hit a raccoon or God forbid a deer call a tow truck and get ready for several thousand dollar repair...I swear common sense has left the human mind!!
TB sd, " Man Chris, give me a good deal on this Volvo truck, I GOT $30, 2 funny TB, everyone, keep those donations coming 2 this channel, he gonna need more $$$$ for that type of truck...lol, good stuff TB.
We had these in our fleet, and as a mechanic , let me assure you , this is the best truck in the business
Steven Haviland are you talking about 2017+?
I drove a 2015 and at 100k had an emission problem that solved itself though
Started my career off driving Volvo with AAA Cooper Trans. I've since drove Peterbilt, international and Freightliners... I must say this video made me fall in love with Volvo all over again!
When I first subscribed to your channel TB, before I got my CDL a couple months ago, I wanted be a Peterbilt driver, most of my family were, but after doing majority of my training in a Volvo VNL 780, I’ve been converted to a Volvo guy and I can’t wait till I get my hands on the new VNL 860
I have had 2 Volvo's one with airbags in the front and one with out and I will NEVER have one without again !!!
I like how he's naming a bunch of options that come on the standard truck
Can't go wrong with a Volvo I love that 860
Jacl Black
fuck that, dont be a dumb ass
Do you think you're cool using the same channel name and ad hominem attacks?
More like ya can't go right with a Volvo.
Now TB, these the type of videos I like to see! Straight up!!
Kevo
and ?? whats your point b1tch
That contrast orange stitching on the seats and steering wheel reminds me of upper level luxury sedans and SUVs. That's an impressive truck
Take a look at the european Volvo FH which is in production since 2012, that's luxury.
has Bluetooth... that's an option
has a seat... that's an option
has a bed... that's an option
All these -features- that have been here for ages should be standard equipment.
They milk another 100k out of costumer for "extra" -features-.
Greed is a nasty thing
Has brakes that’s an option
jaden wyatt That's a big option for Volvs😂
lmfao, it better have some options, cause that POS aint got nothin else ta offer , oh yea, ugly , it's ugly
MR. DreadHead359 Lol I saw you comment on the Tesla lorry video too
Globetrotter isn't the top of the line. And you have open options spots on the dash. I drove a base Vnl fleet truck from 2012 and it has most of these stuff...
We have a lot of them in New Zealand. But in the cabover version. This is because we need the length as we use truck and trailers a lot more.
If we have 6 by 2 set up our mid axle lifts off ground saves fuel tyre wear we got drivers averaging 12 mpg with 460hp engine
I've always loved the older 880 body style..
That smile on your face tell me dirty red got one more time to break down lol ... Good one keep them coming
That's an option that's an option that's an option 😂. More options more $
u were part of Carla Heads rants today just so u no
Very nice truck. I want one. My concern is heavy loads an THE scales. I know a 670 will scale 44 to 46 k. What will the 860 scale
There can be no doubt that all these options will get loads picked up and delivered on time.
My dad had a Volvo and said it was the nicest drained riding truck he ever owned
what was up with that tire pressure monitor system malfunction showing on the dash ?? was that because it was on self test mode or something?
Trucker brown what’s the most reliable used truck with warranty
how many guys can say they drove the first intergral sleeper. basically it was a Volve/white roadboss with built in sleeper. totally changed the industry. then it became volvo/white/Gmc and became a beautiful truck. really hasn't changed much in the last 30 years or so. from the outside
Good googly moogley that thing is Juicy!
clint Miller project pat
u took the words outta my mouth!
First thing I noticed about the sales guy was the NM State shirt. Love my school.
I have the 2018 vnl 860. I love it.❤️
I wonder did ever bring the Euro Volvo engine here to the US ? Like one in Europe running 750 HP by the factory. Be nice run that through Montana don't have to slow down going uphill.
Am wishing to make a move and get 1 just now... nice vid man appreciate the info...
Wow that's awesome
get down trucker brown! i love it ! ive been 18years in my wia , in your other videos i hear you liking on Volvos after driving almost everything , so my new truck i think will be a 08 vnl 64t430 tri x with a dumpbody hopefully a big step up from the old wia- im getting old and fat-igued as in fat and fatigued- like my truck is also. lol you said that you liked dump trucks mine is very unique, well you can check out my old wia sleepercab dumptruck on my nomadic videos adventures if you want, im liking your reviews and a 1st time viewer today !
Comes with tires, which are an option
Comes with a steering wheel, which is an option
Even has mirrors on the doors, which are an option
Awesome video TB please do more like this
Vangaurd are some alright people go see Tony Ortiz at the used vangaurd/ Mack dealership around the corner. Good people
Annnnnnnnd its addomadie 😣😭 please tell me it comes with optional manual trans
What is the price of this truck bro...?
Go to the European Volvo Side and have a look on the Globetrotter . This thing is Crazy
Hmm Volvo don´t do the 750 HP Globetrotter for the US marked? You guys only get the D13 engine, and not the D16 like in EU?
Now THAT, is a sweet ride
I remember back when TB was VOLVOGANG with the VOLVEEZY, AUTOMATY DADDY YA FEEL ME!? XD
BankingBenjamins good times good times
I actually just drove one of these 1700 miles round haul road great very comfy but from a stop it lacked hp with the heavy haul I had but all in all nice truck but ill stay with my PB its what I know
Trucker Brown Volvo Trucks - I thought you were going to do The Epic Van Damme Split :)
Yeah...but when is volvo going to have more options?
Could you order the 600hp engine or no
455hp, jesus that would be laughed at in Europe. ..Volvo in Europe run up to 750hp, in fact most basic trucks in Europe run at 500hp,
Jack Salter 750hp = decreased engine lifespan = $$$$
Codguy....that is totall crap. The 750Hp Engines are d16 6zylinders Inline. You get Software Updates here in Europa to even generate 900plus hp
And those Engines still hold up.....volvo 6 and Scania v8 are awesome engines
Michael Blaeser what do you need all that Horsepower for. The trucks are governed to 55mph anyways.
As anyone who drives in Europe knows lugging 40t of lemons out of malaga up to the border crossing at irun in Spain knows, that 750hp makes all the difference to your life. I suppose the reason why us trucks only have 455 is that max tonnage is restricted to 25t or thereabouts,
Jack Salter Ours trucks are perfectly capable of hauling more with less HP. We can exceed 40tons with special permits.
Manual transmission?
But does it come manual?
I wish the damn automatic transmission was an option too, i like my stick.
Lazaro Vera stick is an option. Available with d 13 Volvo or x15 Cummins with Eaton.
Shifter buttons on the dashboard really weird me out. I've always driven volvos and always had the seat shifter.
Can't believe a tag axle is not a common thing out there. Nearly all our rigs in Europe are air suspension on the rear with a lift axle unless a 6x4
Volvo cost $144,000 when it leaves the dealer its worth $68,000 lol
Nelson Bento wow
Beautiful truck!! Thanks for the video
Thanks for sharing trucker Brown

Man in all honesty what would the down payment need to be
That is a nice piece of equipment
Nice.. !but still more costly to keep fixed(freightlinergang )
shape world15 frieghtliner in shop just as much kenworth best on the road
shape world15 peterbilt FTW
Safety features are loud. But drives really nice. Turning ratio the best
Drivers kill me with that BS about one truck is better than the other. "You're trucks going to be in the shop more". How much does one costs?
Where was this when I was OTR!.
can it be an rvhauler??
Volvo should also bring the D16 engine in the FH-16 that's available in Europe and the rest of the world; that's 700+ HP
Aaron Walker This right here. +1 With the thumbs up
750hp has shown to save fuel more than 450hp would, 450hp is underpowered therefore burn more fuel...
Jack Salter
When you are driving uphill and dont have to do so many downshifting
as on the less powerfull engines you are saving fuel .
Maybe the D16 is too heavy for American front axle regulations?
Country like Norway FH750 is standart.
hlooooo sir ..volovo vnl860 price
Not really I own a 2016 Volvo with the 600hp cummings .it's been a lot better truck then kenworth I owned kenworth before your paying for the name that's all. I get 14mpg empty 10 mpg loaded. You can't do that in a kenworth
Ray,
Tell us more about your volvo. i have friends who are in trucking who love volvos but have been told all sorts of negative things.
bullshit
I just got into a 2019 T680 after driving Volvo's for years. Volvo is better in a thousand different ways. I will miss Volvo. I'm even contemplating becoming an owner-operator just so I can get back in a Volvo.
14 mpg how high are you
I had a few Volvo’s in my fleet and they were the best trucks out of the 12 I had.
seems to me us falls behind eu in terms trucks equipment..what is normal up here in
us is new..
What’s the mpg?
Volvo is simply the best.
Nice.....what is the price? $160,000 thousand.
price volvo truck rate .pls riplay me plsss
Guy didnt mention the 1 piece dpf/scr unit if it goes its 20 k to replace. For 2600 $ a month its yours
Price Range?
My future right there baby!!
Best looking truck
The question that begs to be asked.... HOW MUCH???? (not that I can afford it, just curious)
More options to go wrong more downtime keep it simple and something that will kept making you money
You should trade in your freightliner and get that Volvo VNL 860
Europes trucks are years more advanced than the agricultural stuff America makes.

Man i love this truck
it your time to get this Volvo VNL 860 truck it your time you got this
That's a beautiful truck
Beautiful truck
You don't want wait for the new tesla semi?
Interior looks like the old volvofh16 2009, s just the same cab with a flat floor and a bonnet
Volvo is like the luxury truck
EU volvos had the same technic since 2012... and in north america its new...
mine has a cummins and a 10 speed eaton...you do not have to have an automatic in a volvo
Man that's a nice truck!
The shifter
I love American Truck! Here in Brazil only costumes Euro estyle! More i love American Style! NICE♥
How much is that
Volvo's are nice but I find that the seat does not move far back enough. 13-speed manual would be nice too.
I'm soooo, so happy with never ever having to play with or climb around a set of sticks ever again. And I have to admit, the Volvo FH double clutch box changes far quicker, more efficiently and silently than I ever did !
Bruh, why didn’t you show the interior of that globetrotter?
you should review trucks some more
That's over by i10 and Mercury! Htown
Wow, what a nice truck
Love volvos
no vulva or freightjunker my nigga, kenworth or peterbilt only.
Really nice review video.
Well done!
How much cost 860
volvo may not have the power like peterbilt or kenworth but they make up for it when smooth riding
yes there is no but kenworth peterbilt can not measure with the European volvo fh
Thank you brother
