In all this time I've been watching this show I could never imagine oneday I would end up in tears. My condolences to Peter and families. The final product was a fitting homage to a beautiful soul. Rest in peace Nikki. And you George, what a beautiful human being you are.
Same here. I’m balling my eyes out. I was going to write something beautiful but I’m at a loss for words. For someone so young and vibrant to have terminal cancer is so disgustingly unfair…
I am really glad that the cameras stopped when George hugged Pete. It was a private moment, and you can see the devastation that they both felt when Pete told George the news. I hope that Pete remembers that Nikki would want to see him stay in the house that she built with him. George is very much a gentle giant.
there isnt a lot in this world that reduces a tall man to tears but this has had me sobbing like a baby, nikki was such a beautiful soul rest in peace you are an angel now, to her hubby hats off to you sir your one in a trillion, well done on the build
sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know of a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost the password. I love any help you can offer me
@Dorian Aydin Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
As a man i recently lost my fiancée Fiona a month ago &'this just brought me to tears, tears of sadness & joy all at once. Bless nikkis soul & my fiancée Fiona two precious angels watching over us all now.
One of the toughest episode to watch. I had set out to watch a beautiful restoration, but ended up sobbing like a baby. May God continue to strengthen the family that Nikki left behind. Thank you George for being a man with a beautiful heart - your tears got me sobbing.
I was reduced to tears running down an old man cheeks as I watched this. How very sad for Pete at the end. You could just see and feel his loss in his eyes and demeanor, while at the same time it is a day to celebrate. I hope that he was able to settle into the home and that he has able to rest knowing how much his wife would have loved what they had planned for their future. This is by far the most emotional episode of this show I have seen.
So heartbreaking and Pete stayed strong through it all and loved his wife as he should with sheer integrity to the end of her journey. I normally don't shed tears but this episode caused my eyes to leak and I couldn't hold them back! George, as your English comrades would say, your a good bloke.
Setting aside the sobbing. This is probably one of the best buildings I have seen in this program. The wood, and the metal, and the stone... it balances both traditional and contemporary in such an organic way! it's SO beautiful, I'm speechless
This is perhaps one of the most magical build restoration that has a human element that really hit home in that we are all only here for a short time. When the three were having tears after climbing to the second floor with Nikki, I teared up along with everyone else standing on the scaffold. The legacy left by Nikki cannot be put into word. My thoughts and prayers to the family and especially to Nikki’s husband Pete, as your courage and strength is an inspiration to us all. God Bless!
Aww, that beautiful young woman it just breaks your heart. Cancer is so evil. I was hoping that Nicki would see it finished, but it didn’t happen. It was so lovely to see how happy she was when she saw the windmill nearly finished. I hope that Pete continues to live his dream and hopefully in the future meets someone as beautiful and lovely as his wife was. Xx
This restoration video has touched me so very deeply like no other. The tragedy that occurred behind the project, which Pete endured so stoically has saddened me. I saw how deeply this tragedy affected you (George Clarke), and because of the way you responded prompted me to respect even more. The finished house is simply stunning. Wishing Pete long-lasting happiness and a golden future which he so richly deserves. Thank you very much for uploading this video. Made me realize that living in the midst of nature is so tranquil and peaceful, but human life is so fragile. Yesh Prabhu, Bushkill, Pennsylvania
Dear George thank you for your loving embrace of these true restoration warriors, it feels like its from all of us and i so want to embrace them. Beautiful and thank you.
Watching this for the first time and all teared up. Well done to Pete and Nikki for their vision in recreating the old windmill as an inspirational home. Thank you to George for bringing us their story.
George is so compassionate for what this young couple is going through. Awww.... death is always so hard for those of us left behind, Nikki seems accepting. Still so sad. God bless them all. What a FANTASTIC mill!!
Omg what a heart wrenching story. Nikki was such a nice lady. Many blessings to her and her family. Also I hope Pete is well today. What he did to give his loving wife the absolute best and most well built home I think I’ve ever seen was so sad to see her not make it through to the finish. Now she’s in the best home she could ever ask for in heaven. Pete’s parents are also amazing people to do what not all parents would do and give them that land and mill to make this dream come true. If it wasn’t for them this home wouldn’t be here today.
Reed's BEAUTIFUL Windmill is Nikki Fagg's lasting, earthly gift to our world. She's a busy, very much alive angel this very moment. Who knows, exactly, the joy she brought, brings, and will bring, to Peter, their families, & to all of us, really. Well done, every one of you.
What a wonderful restoration project and how beautifully done with what seems to be a very talented firm of craftsmen builders. But Nikki and Pete are really special stars, mighty brave and an inspiring part of the story. Nikki quietly shows us all how to cope really elegantly with the hardest thing that life can throw at her, what an admirable soul. Pete too, a brave man. I do so wish him well and above all I wish him peace. His home is marvellous.
Came here for the restoration...and now im crying my eyes out.Proud of you man! George was so kind and supportive throughout whole thing. Man eff cancer, honestly just eff cancer
Oh My god I cried all way . It's so unfair .What an amazing restoration and the strength of her husband . What an emotional caring George went threw .. Rio in peace Nikkei I'm sure your proud and watching from above
So beautiful that she loved him enough to appreciate an old run-down Tower of bricks and helped him turn it into a forever home. Here's to Nikki and her Pete may he find a future that provides someone new and children to hand it over to so that a hundred years from now it is still loved and in the family.
Heartbreaking and inspiring. Every wish that, at almost 10 years on, Pete has found peace and happiness and is sharing this gem with a new love. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Pete & Niki’s incredible vision, tenacity, & love, along with an unbelievable team of talented & dedicated people has created a living tribute to his wife, family, ancestors, and country! Bravo!!
So much happiness and sadness mixed together in this beautiful build. To see the courage and strength of both Nikki and Peter during such turbulent times. We all know our time on this earth is actually very short. I admire both of them so much. Watching them attain their dreams and and knowing only one of them will live to enjoy the fruits of their labor. I pray the families of Nikki and Peter are doing well. God never promised us that life would be fair. This has been a very special and memorable video for so many reasons. And George is such a kind, gentle and caring man. The tears flow freely as I watch this.
Such a bittersweet episode, a beautiful build and reconstruction seen through my tears. Sensitively produced by all Strength to the family, friends, builders for valiantly seeing it to a conclusion.
I like to watch restoration programs rather than dramas because I do not like to get emotional, and here I am, crying all my tears for Nikki and her beautiful home. Such a lost, but I believe she is there in the memory of each stone, each detail made out of love.
I hope Pete is doing well. The strength, determination and love it must have taken to complete. It was so worth it. Nikki would be so incredibly proud.
As a rufty tufty builder I never thought I would be watching such a beautiful renovation and end up in tears .... How sad . Such a stark reminder of how precious and short life really is . Our thoughts are with you .
Very nice build and restoration. Nikki and Pete went through there toughest times together. I lost my sister (40) in June 2011. Good that a new cap came on the mill. Even here in the Netherlands there are still many mills without their cap. And some are restored like your or even more modern. I wish you the best.
Rest in Heaven Nikki! I never thought I would sit up here crying when I seen the finishing touch. I thought Nikki would’ve gotten the chance. Thanks so much for sharing 🙏🏽♥️🙏🏽♥️
I’m not sure how to react to this humanistic and ever practiced approach to a television show Thank you for this great honor to Nikki dear Angel eyes, you are forever appreciated sir

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!!! You should all be VERY proud of what you have accomplished 💕 As a guy i was like everyone else watching this and leaving AMAZING comments was in tears and had to walk away more than once !! I was going to say something about shear determination... but to be honest im STILL lost for words that Nikki wasn't able to see the finished product ! RIP NIKKI 💕💖💝
Ohhh what a sad episode. I don't think it's possible to watch it without tears. The build is beautiful, but bittersweet because Nikki didn't live to see it. George, you are the most wonderful, warm, kind man. I fully endorse the phrase that another commentor made "George, what a beautiful human being you are".
Stunning. It's definitly my favorit build in this series, although heartbreaking to learn about Nikkis passing, I'm certain she would've been so proud of the finished result. It is truly amazing. Magical even.
I was also brought to tears during this video. The result was gorgeous, Pete and Nikki did a wonderful job, only wish Nikki would have lived long enough to see the end result.
Amazing project, vision and restoration. So very sorry Nikki didn't get to see it fully completed... the love of family, friends, builders made a brilliant and valiant effort for her to see the cap restored. I cried buckets at its completion. Thank you all. ❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
That was so difficult and exciting to watch I lost my dear friend Nancy the same year and month. Indeed to our Lord when are from and to Him alone is our return. Absolutely heartbreaking. 😢 But she lives on in the history of that building, forever linked to it. Even in a hundred years or two hundred years or more, she is part of its story. It would not have been restored if it wasn’t for Nikkie, what a legacy to leave xx

So sad for all of their loss. She died too soon.31 or 32. .it is nice that there is something in Nikki's name.
This one was very hard to watch, how cruel things can be. I was really hoping she was going to see the end product of her dream. This Windmill became more than just a WindMill but a monument to Nikki. That will stand for all time.
I'm speechless, too be a part of this journey across the pond... in the end... we are all connected to each other, through history in the human story of life. Thank you all for sharing this! Yahweh bless you and keep you.
First time I've ever cried buckets during a renovation/restoration program. You can tell Nikki was a sweetheart. I have to wonder if Pete was ever able to live there.
Ugh. So beautiful and sad. Kept trying not to tear up because we were watching this with my windmill-mad grandson who is just 4 1/2. Nikki was so gracious and generous in her struggle. God bless Pete and his family.
