I saw another '100 days in minecraft alpha' where the dude was complaining the whole time about how plain and empty it was. But you are just being creative and having fun building all kinds of stuff. You are the positivity that we all need.
I think I know what video you're talking about - but yeah I grew up playing these versions and even play them in my own time from time to time when I'm feeling nostalgic. I absolutely love old Minecraft versions and I think the limited block palette forces you to be extra creative in how you build stuff; it definitely not something to complain about imo! For those curious, Alpha 1.2.3 had leaf decay but A1.2.3_01 disabled it due to an infinite loop bug that crashed the game when leaves decayed outside of a few chunks of the player. Fire can still deal with the leaves, however leaving fire burning for to long or leaving the area can cause the blocks to burn forever until broken, probably from the buggy firespread. 1.2.6 didn't really add much to the game besides lakes and lava pools. Its fun to play these old versions
i really enjoy the beauty of this game and the players, i like how people come back to this version and just have fun, they dont try and beat every boss or get the best gear, they just care about making their world beautiful.
Dude I love the structures you built in your world. Your creativity made it seem like it was from Alpha because back then we didn’t have a lot of variety so we did the best with what we had and this took me way back. Thanks for the vid, will be dropping a sub.

actually, diamonds do not generate around lavapools a lot. but because most lavapools are generated on the same level as diamonds, most people think so.
The game was so much better back then, now I can never enjoy it again. The game was hard, food was hard to get, it was insanely dark, no sprinting, it was a struggle to progress, it had purpose, not everyone could do it. But now anyone can, minecraft lost itself. I wished someone would do a playthrough/100 days of a older version, you changed that. :) ❤ Some people who complain about old minecraft, never lived, they never played the real game, it hurts more than it should to see the heart of the game vanish. I think the flame burnt out a long time ago.
not to say, but the diamond armor in this version its kinda usless because all the type of armors give the same level of protection, the only difference is the durability, in fact the armor bar shows the level of durability
