    Wow, I have already tried a lot of forums, all of them were pointing out that there is no other way and just use hands free, when I researched more and realized its about bandwidth and aptx, most of them says theres no driver for aptx, and no way to know if your hardware is capable. Fantastic! Thank you very much. I was bashing my head into walls not being able to use APTX-HD on my laptop. Edit: For those using Tidal HiFi (with masters) after installing this I got new options in sound output devices (little speaker icon to the right of the volume slider) in Tidal App for Desktop for my headphones, I turned on "Use exclusive mode" for them and the sound quality increased considerably, I don't know where the difference comes from but soundstage, stereo separation and voice centering is a lot better. Also it does something weird, it reconnects the headphones when switching from master to hifi quality songs, but it's instant, and each time I get a windows popup that says I'm "using APTX now" but disappears in a second.

    Firstly thanks for this, AptX is a massive improvement over AD2P and I could use my wireless cans on my PC! However, I had a drive fail and decided to update to Windows 11... again still no native AptX support. I couldn't find anything on this so I tried doing this again. It completely broke my Bluetooth driver! My built in Intel WiFi 6 AX200 will no longer connect to ANY headphones. I uninstalled the driver, installed the default Windows 11 one, tried the one Asus recommended, the Intel recommended one, paired unpaired repaired more times than I can count. The only thing that worked was getting another bluetooth dongle and connecting my headphones to that device after disabling the built in one (always remember to disconnect any blutooth devices before removing the bluetooth hardware or it seems to get stuck in limbo). Anyway still stuck with asstastic AD2P and my AX200 device will only work with controllers or anything that's not headphones, and has to be disabled anyway for the dongle to take over. (Headphones connect, when any audio is attempted to be played, they just disappear from the audio device list, still show as a bluetooth connected device)
    So is there any Windows 11 solution for AptX? And any way to totally reset my bluetooth driver to use the internal one again (without reinstalling windows 11)?

      Windows 11 got in the end of 2021 offical support for AAC codec so there isn´t anymore so much necessary need to get AptX via such workaround if you have W11 (and some headphone with AAC support like Sony WH-1000XMx) as quality should be very similar to AptX

    Hey there,
    I was wondering if you could advise on a query I had. I am using Nuraphones which utilise the aptX/aptX-HD codecs and upon installing the dell driver on my laptop, it does display the apt-x codec in the sound control panel along with the DVD quality option in the bitrate, but the actual volume levels whilst listening to the headphones is very low (even at 100% volume)
    After uninstalling the driver volume levels returned to normal but I get poor audio quality over bluetooth.
    I'm using HP Omen laptop with Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265
    adapter.
    Any advice? Thanks.

    • @ElectronicsComputers
      @ElectronicsComputers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never had any problems with the volume. Some headphones can't control the volume of the main device (laptop in your case) so you have to set your laptop volume to the maximum and then you can control the volume on your headphones. Both volume controls work separately! Also take into account that when you use aptX codec it disables your audio card settings like equalizer and some other effects.

    What I did:
    1. Removed my bluetooth headset (HD 450BT) from paired devices.
    2. Installed aptX codecs (Intel 3165).
    3. Rebooted system.
    4. Paried my headphones.
    5. Custom tab appeared. AptX options now available. Working.
    6. Microphone stopped working in my headphones. Switching between Stereo device and Communication Device (Hands Free) did not help.
    7. Tried couple of times with different settings. Hands Free device still did not work.
    8. Removed aptX codecs.
    9. Everything back to normal.
    There is something wrong with these drivers/codecs. Without them Hands Free set is named "Hands Free AG Audio". With the codecs it's "Hands Free", without the AG Audio, and it's not working. Basically you can maybe improve the stereo quality thanks to these codecs, but you loose your microphone functionality. At least in my case. Big disappointment.

    So, I have an AMD Windows 10 Pro desktop, and I have only Qualcomm Wireless adaptors (Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adaptor, and Atheros Sparrow 11ad Wireless Network Adaptor).
    Does this mean I cannot perform this installation? (In other words, does my Wireless Adaptor specifically need to be an Intel Wireless Adaptor?)
    Sorry, the more I'm reading this, the more I understand that the Qualcomm adaptors won't work.
    But can you can advise as to a Wireless Network Card I can purchase? (not just a converter). I have a spare PC that I use for the web and it doesn't have a wireless card, but I have empty PCI slots. I wouldn't mind the investment if I thought I could purchase a wireless card AND have it be aptX compatible.

    • @ElectronicsComputers
      @ElectronicsComputers  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Only a few Intel's adapters support that feature with available drivers only for Windows 10. On Windows 11 it already doesn't work. The list of models in the description below the video. You'll need this WiFi/Bluetooth combo adapter: alii.pub/6tatrj
      And a PCI adapter for your desktop computer: alii.pub/6tatto
      If you want to buy another adapter, make sure that it also has a cable. Because WiFi adapter works via PCI and Bluetooth works via USB interface which connects via that cable. You can see it on the photo.

      @@ElectronicsComputers Oh thank you. I really want to get this one but it's very expensive for my country. It says 45 dollar with shipping but 45 dolar for you like 450 dolar for me... I hope you get it what I mean...

    Is AptX different from AptX Low Latency? I know AptX HD exists and is high latency.

    Hi Thanks for the video and it really helped a lot, but I have a minor issue after doing all the steps it worked well and the quality got better but when I pause the video for 10 sec or more and then play again I get a 0.5 -1.5 sec long static/no sound/disturbance and it really ruins the experience, I have a Sennheiser HD 450bt and intel 9260 chipset same as yours, please help me if you can I'll be very thankful, I can send specs recording and other things if you want

      I never had any issues like that. Try to play with the energy saving mode and some other settings of your wireless adapter.
