  • Softmod your Wii U:
    • Use This Simple Guide ...
    Loadiine application:
    gbatemp.net/th...
    NDS to Wii U injector:
    www.mediafire....
    You also need to use Game ID in the folder name for each game. It should be in brackets and its region sensitive.
    So the NTSC version of Mario Kart DS should be named: Mario Kart DS [VCAMCE]. All game IDs can be found here:

    This was a much easier solution that adding TV out to my DS lite.. probably should've done this lol

    I had this problem too. This thing requires component cables.

    Is this a more streamlined solution for transferring save files to a flash cart to play on a actual handheld? I've struggled with constantly importing/exporting saves from a NDS injected game on Wii U.

      To be honest I haven’t tried transferring save files from a DS to Wii U.

    I tried this on my 20" Sanyo consumer CRT and was very disappointed because it letterboxes content if set to 4:3 aspect ratio, I don't have a BVM laying around! So what is the ideal screen for a setup like this? I don't want to use it on my plasma or OLED TV's because of burn in from blacks.

      What do you mean? NDS is 4:3. But you need to set your Wii U console to 16:9 to get 4:3.

      @@tranceenergy3121 Wait, really? Why is that? Isn't that opposite to what you'd think?

      @@GibTGyeah I know it’s confusing. But as mentioned. Set it to 16:9 in the Wii U settings when you are gaming on 4:3 CRT to get true 4:3.

      @@tranceenergy3121Thanks so much! Do you know if the Wii U's output is anamorphic in 480i or 480p mode?

      @@tranceenergy3121 I'm afraid that setting my Wii U to 16:9 on my CRT produces an aspect ratio that is too tall - it's not accurate... I think I'm going to use a LCD TV instead :(

    This is so cool! Thank you for showing 😊
    How do you think this would look on a OLED TV?

    • @tranceenergy3121
      @tranceenergy3121  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I actually haven’t tried but I suppose it looks good on an OLED too. I wish Nintendo had included LCD filter options to get the look of an LCD screen. I will try it out on a Retrotink4K once I get my hands on one. That one allows you to add LCD filters.

      @@tranceenergy3121 I want to see that. Well, I will also try it on my Sony BVM-D20F1E. Do you think there is a chance for a future update that would include LDC filter and 240p options?

    • @tranceenergy3121
      @tranceenergy3121  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jonasskjtt5542 I doubt it. Since Nintendo never allowed for 240p on Wii U. Which is a bummer. As I mentioned in the video, you would need to use a downscaler to force 240p.
      I’m very curious to see how it looks in 240p since the DS games are of such low resolution. Once I get my hands on a downscaler I will do a comparison video.
