We didn't have any issues with soot. Sure there was a little but we didn't bring any in, and they cleaned our balcony twice on the 7-day cruise I was on at the end of August. Plus it rained at night but was dry during the day. I think the next time I'll bring some kind of curtain and 100lb magnet to hold them to create more privacy on the balcony since the decks are staggered unlike the aft balconies on the other ships I've been on with carnival
My guess is that it really depends on the winds and how much of that soot gets trapped on the balconies. I had heard of a lot of issues before this. I hope your cruise was great! Thanks for watching!
Love the Havana Retreat private area with the pool and hot tubs. I think I really prefer the porch type balcony. the rooms are really the same as a regular balcony room. Don't think it is really worth the extra cash.
I would agree with you. I don't think its worth the money either. Though I did like the porch with the swing.
we cruise only with Havana interior room...Havana is the 2nd most expensive rooms you can get but well worth it for the exclusive nature of the area
Were going in 6 days. No one from carnival told me about any soot! If there is and i can't use what i paid for there gona have to upgrade us. Im not getting soot all over my clothes. Thats a bunch of crap!
kids under 12 are not allowed...wish it was NO kids, would make it even better
I've never actually stayed in the Havana rooms, but the day I did the walk through there were no kids out there at all and the ship was at some where around 90% capacity. When you have stayed in the the Havana rooms, have you seen a lot of kids?
@@lasvegascruisetravelanddri5887 My husband and I have stayed in the Havana area 3 times now and we are ready to go on our 4th in the Havana on the Horizon in February 2023. We have rarely seen any kids and never even seen one in the hot tubs or pool. The Havana area is really the perfect place for us for the privacy and value to be in such a peaceful area that is never crowded and you always can find a place to sit or lie down. The service is great as well. It is the best value out of all the other cruise lines for a private area.
