  • In this video I complete the carpenter shop with some street cobblestones and power poles with electric lines using EZ Line a great product that perfectly simulates power lines and can withstand bumping because it stretches.

This is awesome, i really love the look of the installation! Personaly i think the taller poles just look better for the layout, regardless, it just fits the style of the landscape very well in my opinion.

This seems an odd thing to debate about. I trust @traveling in miniature and i've never been to Southern Italy. This layout and modelling are awesome.

@@alangregory1806 Outside my window there are both of those lines and the high voltage crossower by a pole transformer to a lower domestic line, i concider making something similar for my own layout. I know for example in Norway the system is different because they hawe a lot of montains to cross in the coastal area. (Yes my hobby is related to old electric things, thart's why i always want to go in depth with things i am curios about how they work... Still i know the old Colorado steamer which is totally out of scale as well will drive into my 1940s landscape in the end, despite all my research... ha ha)

Its even better in person because the layout is shoulder height and the poles require looking up just like in the real world.

@@TravelinginMiniature Awesome! i did start on a Rowland Emett inspired layout last year (loosely based on Micaels world, but it is my own imaginary coast) and Your style does fit just perfect!

In the UK wires are 14 feet and poles 18 feet. Is this an Italian thing because 50 feet seems very high. Love this railway.

I am not sure, but in Scandinavia it has to do with the line voltage, high voltagfe poles are much higher than domestic lines. Maybe the poles are taller in Italy because one need to bridge ower the montain sides easier?
