I've just noticed you used a demolished building to end that row of buildings. A lot more interesting than a blank end wall, and a "softer" edge to the layout. Cool. Cheers, Kev.
Molto magnifico.
Great job. This is a fantastic little village and I always look forward to whats coming next. Hope you do another video on the new people in the village .
I am glad that I tore the old facade off and started over. Thanks for your comments
Oh, and nice work. Very creative as usual.
Working on a church wondering what effects to add
More great work.
That so nice to say. I wish my skills matched my imagination
Very nice. I get to enjoy one of my most enjoyable sojourn to my favorite fishing villages. Thank you good Sir. Most relaxing.
I’m glad you liked it. Working on a church now. Looking forward to share it with you.
Working Ceiling Fans, what a concept !
Would you believe it’s impossible to see the fan working.
another excellent addition to your beautiful layout. thank you.
Glad you liked it. I am working on a church now.
Awesome! It is realy cool to see the miniature town transform and develope like a real town!
Glad I tried it. The store looks better than before
This is enchanting. I really look forward to these updates.
I’m so glad you liked it. Excited to be working on a church model. It’s huge 24” tall
@@TravelinginMiniature I was drawn by the railway which is still the central point of the village but the characters make it live and the buildings are so easy to imagine as somewhere I could visit.
Really nice, a bit of a NookBook project ...
Oh yeah. A fun project
What a nice addition to the village always a pleasure watching your creations come to life 🙂
show parabéns
Thank you!
Very interesting. Over the past few years I've come to respect the Big Boy steam engine. They were the predecessor to the diesel tractor trailers going over the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Coming from an old tractor trailer driver who crossed them many times, all I can say is it takes pure power to make it to the peak. Thanks for the post.
Is this 1" thick foam?
1/2 inch
@4:44 the grass is blowing in the wind....such a neat bit of realism !
Bravissimo !
Grazie mille!
What made You to chose Italia?🤔 It’s a very good chose anyway?😊🇮🇹 Grazie molto!😁
I have visited Italy many times times for vacation and wanted to recreate it in miniature to be able to visit every day.
Happy Birthday!❤️ Keep up to good work!👍
Excellent video I went back and referred to it several times on my layout. Thank you.
@@Lonewolfe7586 glad you like it. The video was one of my earliest efforts.
WOW! Just stumbled upon your channel, love your imagination. This is amazing!
Great Model of the vinyard. Just one recommendation can you model some rose bushes at the end of a few of the rows. They plant roses in italy to help protect the vines from aphids
Awesome
They looks great. I'm still getting used to the largeness of 1-24; the small things that can be seen at that scale. I wonder if individual grapes could be seen in a bunch at 1-24? I see there's 0.5mm caviar beads available - could they be glued around a suitable shape? I tried to make bunches of grapes at 1-48 but they looked ridiculous. I guess tomatoes could also be seen easily at 1-24... 1-24 is awesome! Cheers, Kev.
Wine grapes are usually harvested from the vineyard from early September until early November in my modeled part of Italy so I opted to not 3D print any since I am modeling the summer.
That looks amazing! I have always loved more unique model railway locations and an orchard/vineyard is begging to be modeled. Especially if you had one spur leading from the source location, to a processing plant, and maybe even a storage area.
That is the plan. I will be extending the railway to include a processing area with wine barrel storage
Brilliant....as well as the podcast and music,a glass of wine will help you to feel that you're really at the vineyard!
Enjoying the expansion of Amalfi, with its rich collection of characters, into the countryside! The vineyard looks great! Thank you 😊❤️
Thank you it’s a good change of pace from building structures.
Dear Traveling in Miniature, love the way you used the garden clippings to create the vines. They look stunning and very convincing. Considering you’re modeling the vines in 1:15 scale, it may be worth it to create some leaves to add to the vines. Especially on well kept grape production vines the leaves are often as large as a human hand, sometimes even larger. That might even further enhance the level of realism of the vines. Don’t know if I remember correctly from one of your previous posts, that you modeled a vine growing along one of the buildings of Amalfi. May have that wrong or mixed up. Nevertheless that overgrowth you modeled also looks its part! Awesome shot by the way of the rolling hill next to the tracks. Looking forward to seeing your next episodes! Cheerio
Very effective.
Thank you glad you enjoyed the video
Very realistic and simple. Thanks Peter.
Would you believe I fretted for a long time on how I was going to do it. I decided to go for it and if it didn’t work out I would try it again
Haha, yes I have that trouble sometimes, then I realise that I can easily pull it out and start again.
Very nice. Very realistic. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Thanks for watching. It turned out great.
This is about a close to Amalfi as I’ll get this year. Thanks for teleporting this loyal viewer to such a wonderful spot. Ciao.
I’m glad you enjoy the teleportation. I get to go to the Amalfitano coast every day.
Well, nice to take a short sojourn after a hot day at work. Very nice, coming from a person who's ancestors are from Croatia, Amalfitano looks very much like my ancestral home. Question - how about some Italian mandolin music in the background, softly mind you. Once again, thank you for the journey.
Excellent suggestion about the music. Have you seen the tv series Portofino? The TV series Hotel Portofino is set in the Italian resort town of Portofino, but most of it was filmed in Croatia. The first series, created and written by Matt Baker in 2020, was primarily filmed in Rijeka, Lovran, and Rovinj, Croatia, with a small portion filmed in Portofino, Italy in 2021. Other filming locations in Croatia include Opatija, Bale, Istria, and Pula, Istria.
@TravelinginMiniature My grandmother's family is east of Rejika near Karlovac. As we say, just dirt farmers living off the land. My grandfather's family lived south of there. I've been there once, Italy twice.
using the tip guard of an electric clipper is what i use on foam . just scribe it along ..it makes suberb downward notches for brick as well
Beautiful video! Where did the figures come from? I’d love those.
Make them myself. I have a video showing how I make them.
HEY! That's what I want to do to my switchers, thanks for the video and your humor.
Glad you liked it. A little inspiration when I knocked over a frieght car for the 100th time.
Went there when my kids were young, they were in the process of phasing out the "O" scale display and starting the construction of the "HO" setup. Very impressive!
I love the modeled Chicago neighborhoods
Gosh i forgot about that. Yes I typically cut myself, knock things i already glued on the layout (especially the lamps attached to the outside walls of buildings).
Is that blood on your ruler? Then in subsequent shots there is a bandaid on your thumb!? Good Lord, man! Be careful!!
Yes unfortunately I cut myself often. But knocking things over with my elbows or spilling glue is even more common. Hahaha.
Arrivederci, from Genoa, Italy. Very , very fine your modeling world : sunny, sweet and slow. I like very much the colour of your scenes. Perhaps it' s not elegant to tell, but i' m an expert modeler : so my appreciation on your job is even more real. Ciao.
Oh wow thank you. Do you have a TH-cam channel? Do you model Italian scenes?
@@TravelinginMiniature sorry, i' ve not any channel. I' m actually working on a diorama scene of Caporetto 1917, a different kind then the pacific beauty of your scenes. When finished, it will appear on a russian magazin, ( since many years i' ve written for Model Time and Model Wings ,italian magazines ). When finished, if you like, i' ll send you copy of the russian magazine. Till then, i' ll be happy of seeing your jobs. Ciao
Amalfitano, where life is simple and slow. Just the way I like it.
It's always worth the wait to see your videos. I look forward to each one. Thank you.
So nice of you, I am enjoying the creative process of building it.
Two things I enjoyed about this sojourn the addition of the trees, naturally and the word relax. In the part of the country where I live we have many cypress trees and yours reminds me of them. Outstanding. I look forward to my next journey. Oh, and as for your short absence. It's OK we all know Amalfitano is not going anywhere.
Great work.
Thanks it was an easy but time consuming process.
Your videos always brighten my day. I love your simple and direct approach.
Thanks I appreciate the feedback

Outstanding, thanks for sharing. Dave
