Oh man they are the best I just bought a 2006 Burgman 400 , and I love it , I can't get off the dam thing , lol I don't think I will ever change it , really great for long trips Burgman rocks . safe riding
I love how this camera shows you looking to your side alot for traffic not trusting mirrors, nicely done. I have a bv 250 and meow i want more! damn my wife will be pissed.
Had 8 m/c all sizes with clutch, bought my 9th bike 2 weeks ago....a burgi 400 and loving it. Last tank 67.5 mpg, figured out mathematically,,l love gears ,but don't miss them at all.
I just put a down payment on a 2011 Burgie 400 ABS and can't wait to get it out on the road! I have a SYM RV250 and have had a ball with that for the last three years. That one will be for short, local runs and my spare.
I've had several 400cc scooters to include the 07 & 09 Burgman 400 and an 07 Yamaha majesty. What I've noticed across the board with all three of them is that although they will get to 70 and sometimes a little over. It's not something you'd want to do for an extended period. I have had the 07 burgman to 78 while passing but it wasn't stable at that speed and wasn't much if any throttle left. The 09 and the majesty aren't any better as far as top end, they all seem to like to hover around the 60MPH range, as for touring I wouldn't say that you could run from say NC to MD at 70 before having problems. The scoots are great around town, but as far as what I've experienced although they do have highway capability I would say that you wouldn't want to go on a major interstate with a 70MPH speed limit for very long
Sorry 1969jmac, but that's just bullshit - my 09 400 happily sits at 140kmh+ for hours at a time, speedo is optimistic but its still well over 70mph and the only time its unstable is when pushed on fast sweeping corners with crosswinds and bumps - that's with way more lean angle than what most people will try at those speeds, I just get a kick out of it and have lots of racing experience
@@Alex-ei6qr Yea I'm not sure what kind of Burgman that guy was riding. I've got a k6 400, and it sits at 80-85 two up with no issues. I've never had any stability issues under 90mph. 90 and up it gets a little squirrely, but not dangerous feeling.
cvt scooters are limited in how their gearing can be altered. If you are riding alone on a 500 single or twin? In 2 hours of your own time, using common tools, you can buy and install a +2 front, -2 rear gear set and make the bike feel like a 750 on the freeway. I love scooters! But the limited gearing is the one reason I a forced to stick to geared bikes. I also have a geared Kawasaki 250 that runs at 75 mph top speed all day long. Smooth as butter...
Forget that Burgman if you are that tall. I am 5.8 and the driver back rest is recline as it max. you don't want your knew to be in the way of your elbo when ryding, You want to be able to change the way you sit on the Burgman if you have a long ride to do.
the scooter people in the video does your Suzuki burgman 400 burn oil at highway speeds? I have a 2013 Suzuki burgman that burns oil at Highway speeds! on my 400 Burgman2013. 🛵zoom zoom
Mike Murphy as far as I know, 2006 and earlier models burns oil very quickly. They solved the problem after K7 upgrade (they said not until second half of 2007). If your 2013 is burning oil too much, maybe some problem there. So it was 5 months old post. How's it now?
mines also, bought it with no mileage on it as well...i was told that since I'm doing 90 or better, that I should stay 80 or under.I'm more conscious of not staying over 90 & I've noticed a difference however something doesn't sit well with me being that I should be able to go 90/100

You look to be cruising at a high rate of speed - be careful! Burgmans are fast, but they still have really small wheels. Is this in France or Canada, I wonder.

There is something wrong with your bike. These things will pull 80MPH on the freeway 2 up.

umaxen01 I've been from Los Angeles to Phoenix several times on my K7 AN400. Constant 80 mph. My Burgie now has 62, 872 miles on it.
you'll do fine, i'm 5.6 and have a 400, and it cuddles me to shit! you might wanna invest in higher aftermarket windscreen though as i did
I have an old cbr 600, looks like scooters are the proper way to cross contry and big milleage,

No way you are getting 106 miles per gallon on this 400.
The music is crap!!
Why would I buy this when half the price I could be riding a Harley?
Mike Blunt you mean working on a Harley?
No it isn't.. Gilera Nexus 500 and Yamaha t-max 530 are better.. ;)
Boring.
