  • Join Third Rate content as we visit the small Shropshire town of Hodnet on Third Rate contents Holy Grail Quest.
We explore this ancient borough with its roots dating back to the Bronze Age, right through the Saxon period and Medieval times.
We explore St Luke’s Church with its Thomas Wright financed stained glass window, which many believe has connections with the Holy Grail, including two men in black who damaged the church in 2006 trying to find it.
Buckle up and I’ll see you out here (and out there)

There is a nearly identical story to that of Jasper from somewhere in the Black Country, maybe Walsall? I have it in my notes and must dig it out.
I remember when the Bear used to have a small cinema within it, probably the mid 1970s.

Interesting info about the cinema 👍
I got the premise for the tale from the blog Nearly Knowledgable, Forgotten Ghosts of Shropshire. Tho I’m sure lots of ghost stories are “similar”. Question is which was first? Lol

I was born in England (of English parents) but have lived in Australia for years. My Australian husband, (retired English/History teacher) and I enjoy your videos. We have a passion for English History. Thanks for your narrations and videos! 😊😊(By the way, at 18:45 you can here a background noise like a 'wooooo...', is that from outside?)

Thank you (and your Husband) so much, it really is lovely to hear this! I didn’t notice the sound (on the timestamp) previously. It could’ve been a low flying aircraft? RAF Cosford is near by. Otherwise a tractor pulling a trailer? Of course it could’ve been a ghost lol. Watching the vid back reminded me I was a little bit spooked (a very tiny bit 😂) when I first entered the church due to some sounds, I’ve been in quite a few churches on my own and this was unusual 🧐. Anyway thanks for commenting 👍

Another fascinating deep delve into Shropshire's history. Thank you.
And still no Python references. However I do know where the Holy Comedy Messiah himself filmed in our beautiful and intriguing county.

@@thirdratecontent585The plot thickens. JC's pilgrimage to Much Wenlock was meant to be hush- hush at the time. Only certain members of the Illuminati were privy to the real purpose.
