I think you'd be good at giving a good rundown of the history of Space Ghost Coast to Coast, as you're very good at your research and presenting each video with great quality. Yes! Please make more history videos. This and the one on Pixar are honestly some of the best TH-cam viewing I've had in awhile. Your reviews are clear and concise, and your channel is amazing.
Cartoon Network for the longest time was pillar of my life. Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, Toonami, Miguzi... I was there when they rose to power, I was there when they were kings, I sadly walked away when they became a monster, and I came back when they reformed themselves. They're one of, if not THE reason that mainstream animation didn't die in the 1990s. The Nicktoons were great and were of high quality, but many were still considered niche products since they came from a network for children. By creating a channel based around animation entirely and not just as children's programming they became the flag bearer for an art form and type of media that had languished since the 1970s. And I'm proud they did, even if they lost the way at one point. With everything that's gone down last year and this year, I'm anxious to see what's going to happen.
@VulpesHilaririanus, I agree. People always go luk back at Nick for the "Greatest netork of all time"... or to disney, but those were mostly child humor, etc. But CN itself, Toonami, adult swim, fox kids, UPN kids' action zone/syndicated stuff, kids wb, and even Miguzi were the ones that were on top with a BALANCE of "cartoons" , "animated series", and anime.
Did you say that Miller was a marketing executive? That would explain a lot. I'm sure she's promoting shows like Teen Titans Go because they do well amongst kids to the point that less effort is needed for monetary success.
Yeah. Sailor Moon, DragonBall, and other anime airing was probably really good. I wasn’t born during that time, so I never got to see sailor moon and the other shows.
@@animationsandvnsbasil no. A bad joke, is a bad joke, is a bad joke, son. Do not give that person credit. It wasn't meant to be clever bad on purpose. It was just bad.
Do you plan to do one specifically on Adult Swim? You touched on it some with this, but I'd think there's ample history and content from them to warrant their own "History of..." video.
No mention of Mike Lazzo? Guy was CN's first programer, created Space Ghost and conceived both Toonami and Adult swim. He still gives notes on virtually every original script that is produced for Adult Swim. Otherwise tops video, but he's an important(albeit elusive) figure.
Hey, great video! I must send appreciation for the nostalgia trip- I'm a kid from '81. As a little kid I recall having only a small handful of channels to select from, and those dreadful nights the president had something to say- took up every channel. But then late 80's/early 90's watching Disney Channel, early/mid 90's was the time of Nickelodeon- then mid 90's the even better Cartoon Network. Those cartoons had a hand in developing my personality and whatnot. Thinking back to the era pre cable channels to now, having the ability to watch anything ya want on a phone- haha excited to see what technological advancements come in the next 37 yrs
Total Drama was certainly great for the network , but a Teletoon is a Teletoon, and its quality really isnt up to par with both older and newer shows. I gotta say though, its one of Teletoon's best works, as it really seems they tried with this one rather than totally cheaping out. So many other CN shows were so bad at the time, so I'd call it a diamond in the rough.
Vladimir Minakov tbh I’m a 0’6 baby and CN and nick we’re my childhood.. I stopped watching in 2015-2016 when.. TTG happened.. I skipped it until it well.. it took over and nick I stopped because of spongebob..

Slurky DoesStuff i can't even find a single good cartoons in CN here in the Philippines. Sometimes they would appear out of nowhere and most of the cartoons that was airing are targeted to mostly little kids (5-10 yrs old) and we can't find any single good cartoons that is targeted for all ages.
A brief recap of what the history of Cartoon Network: Before: Really good cartoons that had amazing story lines, character development, and animation. (The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, Dexter's Lab, etc.) After: Re-runs of the infamous Teen Titans Go, and only like an 1 hour or 2 of the good cartoons. Did I say 1 or 2 hours of good cartoons? Sorry, I meant the whole day is Teen Titans Go.
Gumball and Adventure Time is the after era though they are good cartoons. Here is the before: Powerpuff Girls, Kids Next Door, Dexter’s Lab, Teen Titans, Billy and Mandy, Ed Edd Eddy, etc.
Can I just say how much I appreciate your videos, Saber? They’re not only entertaining but I learn so much and appreciate the art of animation even more! Learning for the sake of learning, it’s a good feeling. Keep it up!
@@argonchlorine Wow. Now you know they should put Cartoonito on its own channel. You know, like Nick Jr or Disney Junior. Same with Adult Swim. Make Cartoon Network 24/7 again. Cartoon Network channels should be all 24/7. Cartoon Network itself, Adult Swim, Cartoonito and Boomerang.
I Really REALLY Fucking Hope "VILLIANOUS" Becomes a TV Series. It's WAY Too Good To Be Just Little 45 Second Shorts, Shown In-Between Commercials. (a time everyone tunes out) I Actually Don't Watch "Cartoon Network" ("Samurai Jack" & "Regular Show" I'm Passionate About) but If "VILLAINOUS" Becomes a Whole Show,.....................................................................................................................................................I would joyfully scream my fucking heart out! Loud enough to kill everyone around me from a 10 Mile Radius.....I'm sooo into "VILLIANOUS"!
There are still good shows, they are just being canceled and CN is refusing to air anything but TTG which is why its going down the drain, they are mass producing lots of shows with little quality and cancelling good shows.
watching this just made me sad, I already knew Cartoon Network had made a sharp decline but seeing laid out like this just hurts... moral of the story is I miss Cartoon Cartoons and CN City
So basically, Betty & Jim(old school names that sound great together) are the main reasons why our childhoods were awesome when it came to TV shows in our teen years until 2007. And, yeah AT&T bought out Time Warner so, should be interesting.
I used to watch this channel when i was a child, i eventually ditched it because of shit like Johnny Test. Coming back as an adult to find there are shows on it that i can enjoy is absolutely fantastic.
As long as they remember all, and I mean ALL, of their content and don't let "you-know-what" overtake his schedule for the umpteenth time, then maybe CN will celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Here are some other cartoon shows that I like to watch. 1. Steven Universe 2. Camp Lazlo 3. The Amazing World of Gumball 4. Adventure Time 5. Regular Show 6. Clarence 7. The Life and Times of Juniper Lee 8. Chowder 9. Johnny Bravo 10. The Powerpuff Girls (1998) 11. Dexter's Laboratory 12. Flapjack 13. Class of 3000 14. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy 15. We Bare Bears 16. O.K K.O: Let's Be Heroes 17. Uncle Grandpa ( please don't judge me, I liked wacky humor from that show) 18. My Gym Partners a Monkey 19. Time Squad 20.Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi 21. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends 22. Samurai Jack ( especially season 5) 23. Ben 10 ( classic) 24. Mighty Magiswords 25. Over the Garden Wall 26. Ed, Edd, n Eddy 27. Mixels 28. Transformers Animated 29. Sum Bionic Titan 30. Generator Rex 31. Squirrel Boy and finally.... 32. Infinity Train.
Nostalgia Critic, Mr. Enter, and Saberspark putting out a video with Cartoon Network all in a span of 24 hours? Is a secret collaboration going on or is it just one of the best coincidences?
A brief Top 10 Cartoon Network cartoons in my own opinion. 10. Total Drama 9. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends 8. Courage the Cowardly Dog 7. Samurai Jack 6. Teen Titans 5. Ed Edd and Eddy 4. Regular Show 3. Steven Universe 2. Powerpuff Girls And number 1 is... UNCLE GRANDPA! .... Just kidding, number 1 is Adventure Time.

I wanted to know why teen titans Go keeps getting played
D00M SHR00M Teen Titans Go sucks they called us creeps and I'm starting to hate Miller
Man, I miss old Boomerang.
It's available at www.ustvgo.tv
Hell, the animation for some of CN’s newer shows look even worse than what Beavis and Butthead look like.
I actually remember watching boomerang when I was really little
Probably the best thing about Cartoon Network was Toonami
no rick and morty
Yeah, anime is awesome.
Yeah. Sailor Moon, DragonBall, and other anime airing was probably really good.
I wasn’t born during that time, so I never got to see sailor moon and the other shows.
Facts. I used to love Naruto when I smaller.
26:10 HAS EVERYONE ROLLING!
Detective Q LMAO
"Whoa, what a freak! Looked like a talking penis."
the boomerang commercial they showed was so nostalgic

Do you plan to do one specifically on Adult Swim? You touched on it some with this, but I'd think there's ample history and content from them to warrant their own "History of..." video.
No mention of Mike Lazzo? Guy was CN's first programer, created Space Ghost and conceived both Toonami and Adult swim. He still gives notes on virtually every original script that is produced for Adult Swim. Otherwise tops video, but he's an important(albeit elusive) figure.
Lazzo was Also the Vice President and COO of Cartoon Network. HE was the one mostly running the Network. In fact he replaced Cohen with Jim Samples.
I live in Atlanta, so ever time we go to Tennessee or some place near that, I always see a Cartoon Network sign before we leave
Total Drama Island had "moderate success"? Dude, it was the highest rated show CN had at the time. It practically saved the network.
Total Drama Island was the shit. Also Ashley=best Warioware character
For Total Drama, I love the 1st, 5th, and 7th seasons, I didn't fully enjoy the 3rd and 4th seasons, and I don't like the 2nd and 6th seasons.
THERES GONNA BE SEASON 8
BECAUSE I WANNA BE FAMOUS NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA I WANNA BE I WANNA BE I WANNA BE FAMOUS
24:00 "yeaaah toonamis back bitches" damn XD
That's how I felt when I heard the news. Lol
kitty cake! Me 3
I watched CN as a child daily from '94 to '97. That's how I first learned English. I miss those times so much...
Vladimir Minakov tbh I’m a 0’6 baby and CN and nick we’re my childhood.. I stopped watching in 2015-2016 when.. TTG happened.. I skipped it until it well.. it took over and nick I stopped because of spongebob..
In Cartoon Network Asia Teen Titans Go Never Affected Us Old Shows Are Running Every 10:00Pm We Always Aired We Bare Bears The Amazing World Of Gumball And More What Good Of Cartoon Network Asia Their 24/7 Channel And No Adult Swim

Marvel: Infinity wars is the most ambitious crossover in history.
Cartoon network: You mean CN city.
Samples was a savage, Snyder fucked up with CN Real, and Miller is just fucking everything up. You can air more than just 2 or 3 shows at a time
Ryan Luster exactly
Ryan Luster did they lose the rights to the other shows?
+shizuwolf Of course not...
adult swim and the sparse airings of decent show are the only reason I watch cartoon network now.
magnushmann THEN WHY AREN'T THEY AIRING THEM? If they have the means to air them, why are they acting like they never existed?

I would get rid of TTG, and the reboots of Ben 10 and PPG. The cloudy with a chance of meatballs cartoon is gone so that's good. And UG is ending soon. I would pick up Villainous and Infinity Train, too
Cartoon Trash you should see cartoon network asia's schedule
ITS AMAZING
The original.ben 10 is one of my top3 cartoons of all time
Slurky DoesStuff i can't even find a single good cartoons in CN here in the Philippines. Sometimes they would appear out of nowhere and most of the cartoons that was airing are targeted to mostly little kids (5-10 yrs old) and we can't find any single good cartoons that is targeted for all ages.
cloudy with a chance of meatballs is gone?? its only just arrived for me(probably the uk) and what is UG?
I mostly disagree with the Ben 10 point and I think villainous is very similar to evil con carne
The nostalgia here is incredible. Cartoon Network played a huge part in my childhood.
A brief recap of what the history of Cartoon Network:
Before: Really good cartoons that had amazing story lines, character development, and animation. (The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, Dexter's Lab, etc.)
After: Re-runs of the infamous Teen Titans Go, and only like an 1 hour or 2 of the good cartoons. Did I say 1 or 2 hours of good cartoons? Sorry, I meant the whole day is Teen Titans Go.
Chin yaaaaay teen titans go
They stopped showing old shows on Christmas anymore
Whyyyyy????
@@dumbassdiana9367 doesnt make sense
Gumball and Adventure Time is the after era though they are good cartoons. Here is the before: Powerpuff Girls, Kids Next Door, Dexter’s Lab, Teen Titans, Billy and Mandy, Ed Edd Eddy, etc.
Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends Was The Best Show I ever watched. And I wanted Back.
Idk y but I love Blu and Wilt of that show XD
I wish but wait into Christina miller is fired
That’s just a tiny fraction of what we all want back.
Yeah, maybe not because it seems like CN can't reboot its shows properly for crap... I mean just look at PPG 2016 and Ben 10 2017...
It on hulu

Its surprising that TV's haven't died yet.
Internet has so much more to offer.
Normax Eight same could be said of radio, but that industry still runs.
As long as TV has exclusive programming you can't legally watch online, there will be viewers.
+J hart Inaccurate Comarison, as you can do things like drive, mow, run, work, etc. with a radio, however you can't with a TV.
yeah TV doesnt have pornhub or free hentai pffft what a shit system
Normax Eight it'll be gone pretty soon I think
1992: Cartoon Network 24/7
2001: Adult Swim begins airing
Now: Adult Swim is on seven nights a week
Now: Cartoonito airs 7 hours and 7 days a week
@@argonchlorine Geez how much do we get now of actual Cartoon Network?
@@emmayoung736 6 hours
@@argonchlorine Wow. Now you know they should put Cartoonito on its own channel. You know, like Nick Jr or Disney Junior. Same with Adult Swim. Make Cartoon Network 24/7 again. Cartoon Network channels should be all 24/7. Cartoon Network itself, Adult Swim, Cartoonito and Boomerang.
I Really REALLY Fucking Hope "VILLIANOUS" Becomes a TV Series. It's WAY Too Good To Be Just Little 45 Second Shorts, Shown In-Between Commercials. (a time everyone tunes out)

i miss the cartoon Network from the 80's to the 90's.
Awesome cartoons back then and now not some much.
I feel the pain from you, my man! Same goes to me.
There are still good shows, they are just being canceled and CN is refusing to air anything but TTG which is why its going down the drain, they are mass producing lots of shows with little quality and cancelling good shows.

Cartoon network was made in the early 90s
Hearing that little snippet of a commercial for Boomerang hit me with nostalgia so hard :0

Johnny Test, Teen Titans Go!, Powerpuff Girls 2016, Ben 10 2017, and The Problem Solverz can just burn in Hell!👹
What do you mean? I like the 1st and early seasons of Johnny Test, it's just that the whip sound I'm upset about.
+Hamood Dadi did you like this show ,how ?
Hamood Dadi Well alright.
Johnny test was good!?!?!
Johnny test is good child hood material.
So basically, Betty & Jim(old school names that sound great together) are the main reasons why our childhoods were awesome when it came to TV shows in our teen years until 2007.
And, yeah AT&T bought out Time Warner so, should be interesting.
Time Warner is now WarnerMedia.
Actually, Betty and Mike.
Reasons for CN presidents stepping down:
Cohen: unknown
Samples: Boston Bomb Scare
Snyder: disagreements
Miller: ???
Miller resigned! The new president is Tom Ascheim
Met Brews YES!
ascheim era starts
after fourth era and before firth era, they leaked unkown era shows
She left cuz she didn’t want to die the queen of cartoons, so yeah maybe a disagreement or a better job offer
Cohen left because Lazzo told her about Adult Swim. She didn’t want to be apart of it.
I used to watch this channel when i was a child, i eventually ditched it because of shit like Johnny Test. Coming back as an adult to find there are shows on it that i can enjoy is absolutely fantastic.

In America
The one and only Taliats Cartoon Cartoons was the best era of cartoons on TV

*CARTOON!* *CARTOON!*
These two words stuck with me from a wee little child to an adult. God, I miss that golden era of cartoons.

Why can't we time travel?
Powerhouse and CN City will always be the best eras of Cartoon Network.
Powerhouse, CN City and the Noods era
But Noods was when CN started going downhill.
Yea but the Noods bumpers were cool
I guess, but the best was CN City because of all the characters interacting.
Extra THICC CN City was the ultimate crossover
I wonder if Cartoon Network is gonna have a celebration for it's 25th anniversary just like they did for their 20th anniversary.
Sonic Gamer i don't really think so sadly
If they do, I don't think it will be good.
Falyne Farrar How come?
As long as they remember all, and I mean ALL, of their content and don't let "you-know-what" overtake his schedule for the umpteenth time, then maybe CN will celebrate its 25th anniversary.
