Venom crossed my path around this time, at 19, and I always felt there was something medieval about them, something darkly Shakespearean, yet as over the top as Python and Spinal Tap together. We can't complain, now we have not one but TWO Venom's, and Mantas lives in Portugal. Hip-hip-hip Hurrah!

I'm trying to research the first band that started the thrash sound, so far venom appears to have elements, you can hear similarities with this track, which I think came out in 1982 and the first two Slayer albums. This track still has an element of punk sound to it.

SCROGY Chuck Schuldiner himself said they wouldn't be doing what they do without Venom. Definitely an important band in metal.
