Seems like a typical early 20 year old. She is making normal mistakes, but a genuine good kid. And shes beautiful and really sweet. Just needs to learn money management which they need to teach in high school.
My parents taught me money management. Schools can barely teach language and spelling, expecting them to teach kids financial responsibility is a joke - not everything is the schools job.
Oh yes, let's find someone else to blame. It's the school's fault they don't teach money management. 🙄Never mind the fact her parents didn't even have the money for her to borrow. I'm guessing her terrible behavior with finances should be blamed on her parents.
Whew. Y’all are too perfect for me. She was 18/19 when she made those bad choices. I wasn’t great w/ money at that age but I lived & learned. Hopefully, she will learn a valuable life lesson.
They teach everything in school except important things like filing taxes... Or where to get financial help if your struggling. Or places to get food if needed. Or even simple things like sewing a button. Edit : some parents simply don't have the time. I was in states custody my foster parents did not teach me how to file taxes. I do plan to teach my 2kids how to file taxes I file mine myself. For the Grammer police in my comments section, I know correct Grammer. I don't care to take the time to use it here. I'm taking small breaks to reply. I have a 3 year old and 11 month old. Auto correct is suppose to help with finishing out what I type. Thank you
@@jamessmith4455 lol I know how to spell it my phone is on auto correct and I garden so its used to me saying sowing not sewing. Thank you for pointing that out for me.
Notice how they don’t call each other step mother or step daughter. It’s always “my brothers mother” and “my sons sister” sooo I think there is definitely a lot more going on between them
I just want the defendant to hold her head up high, shoulders back and good posture. She's beautiful and honestly seemed so sweet and respectful. Something has her down on herself. Sad.
Ironic how nobody gives kudos to the one who brought her to court considering the amount of money and leniency she offered her. Instead the defendant only shows resentment
@@sparrowhawk5673 when did she show resentment? she clearly said they had no bad blood and she agreed when the judge said she wasn't an evil stepmother. the stepmother wasn't bitter about the situation why are you?
@@sparrowhawk5673- Agreed. She doesn't like the plaintiff until she needs to use her. The plaintiff was sooo nice & lenient to the defendant, but she just used her and losed her! The defendant seems like a good kid. I do hope she's able to figure it out financially - debt is so debilitating and stressful and she's young enough to get it under control.
She was 21 in court so she was like 19 when she got the loan? That's pretty young. She needs a really financial advisor bc stepmom may have good credit but racks up too much debt also
I always thought they should educate kids on credit and predatory lenders at school when they are 17 and coming up to credit application age. I was talked into a huge line of credit as soon as I was 18 and moved out on my own. I went to buy a cheap bed for cash and they convinced me to furnish my whole house at huge interest and I couldn’t afford it. It haunted me until I was 30, but it made me learn to live without credit through my 20’s. I’ve also worked with refugees who come with a clean credit score and get sold cars etc they can’t afford when they go to buy something affordable.
@@blondesense1708 maan, I am so sorry you went thru that. I on the other hand suffered and I did it to myself because I was young and didn't know. I had to bump my head to learn unfortunately. But I learned and that's all that matters lol
Melli. At 18 I bought an expensive coat I borrowed the money from my father and paid him back a £1 a week until cleared. At 19 she's classified as an adult. NO EXCUSES FOR HER IRRESPONSIBILITY.
@@blondesense1708 I screwed up my life with credit when I was in my 20's and didn't really figure it out until my mid 30's, after bankruptcy and other issues. But today's kids have the option in almost 50% of schools to take a program that teaches about credit, taxes, savings, budgeting and investing all authored by Dave Ramsey who is the financial guru in my opinion. Unfortunately that's only half of schools and it's not mandatory and equally unfortunate is that many kids will get financial advice from people like this young lady did and be told it's all right to get a loan to get out of debt. I know, I got that exact same advice from someone I thought was pretty smart 25 years ago and it only made things worse.
She is. And she’s so pretty ❤️ she was raised well and very respectful. But yes you’re right she is still learning. At 21 one is not always financially responsible. It’s still a learning process. She’ll get it though. Never spend money on anything you don’t need. And don’t borrow money cause it weighs over your head. And if you keep accumulating the amount it definitely makes it harder and harder to pay it back. It’s ok if you can’t afford a trip it’s also ok if you don’t go, if you’re not financially stable and don’t have money to go don’t go. It would be a much smarter move not to go if you can’t afford it. It’s ok to not go to trips or parties or vacation you wouldn’t be the first to not go anywhere and you wouldn’t be the last. Save money, manage expenses, manage your money, if you go on trips or plan trips make sure you have your own money to take and calculate how much you plan to spend and how much you should take, but most importantly DONT SPEND YOUR BILL/RENT MONEY on it. Make sure all bills and rent is paid so that way you don’t have to worry about it later. I wish I could’ve been her friend to tell her this.
Whatever. Her stepmother is a saint and a truly loving woman to do all this for her step child. You’re blinded by her looks. She’s a irresponsible child who took advantage of her step mother’s kindness and then still had the gull to bad mouth her on national tv. Please note her step mother never bad mouthed her. She simply talked about what she owed. That woman is truly a saintly woman.
@@thebalderthor4884 are we watching the same video??? Cuz she didn't say ONE negative thing about her stepmother. In fact, she said the opposite. Don't think "she's my stepmom. Agree. She seems very intelligent. She continued to pay what she could $20, $50 anything. She can't give her something she doesn't have. I am 27 and take care of my son and grandmother and its hard. But also don't borrow what you cant pay.
Loaned my cousin and his wife $1,500. I got exactly $50 back. That was 20 years ago. They continue to ask for money from other family members and actually put our other cousin in bankruptcy because he co signed a home loan for them. Needless to say they owe all of us money and none of us talk to them anymore. It's just not worth the headache.

Unfortunately there are users in this world who are strangers and family users. I also had the same problem lost 20 dollars but that’s all they got from me. Love them still and I’m glad I only lost 20 dollars from the mistake I made. That’s first and last time I gave them money. Now they moocher off other family members and friends financially as well. Her ex best friend has filed a lawsuit against them recently so miss moocher is gonna learn a lesson on the price you pay when you rip off people.
👀 No ma'am. My cousin lent his best friend $1500 and then after his mom passed away, he still was trying to manipulate money from him. We stepped in and cut that off. He made my cousin feel so guilty for not helping him he was about to take the funeral donations and give it to him. Now his ex friend is living in a 5 bedroom house with his new girlfriend after winning $100,000in the lottery. Never seen a dime from him.
Imagine being the only source of financial aid to a parent (ailing or otherwise) and she asks you to pay rent! WTF. The defendant seems like a sweet child, but ALL the adults in her life are failing her! While her stepmother was supportive at one point, she seemed to be one of those step parents who are sweet while married to your biological parent then it goes sour once they divorce. All in all, the defendant needs to become more financially smart and aware. She'll have a even more difficult time adulting if she continues how she is currently.
Well to be fair, even biological parents tend to treat their children according to the way they feel about the other parent. Once a divorce/ break up happens, most men want to forget about or shun the kids they made with the ex and start all over again. The defendant is not her biological child so her feelings are completely normal.
@@Childfree334 I don't doubt that she doesn't care for her, but I hate that she pretended to like her because she was married to her father. The faking upsets me personally.

@@TenMoogles right I think she was just putting on show. Cause we know how this goes... you don’t want to look bad in front of the judge. Plus don’t air out too much family drama. She got free family trips that the stepmom isn’t asking for back. Plus I’m sure she needs her money. Idk how many other kids she has but that’s a lot of money to spend on any kid and not be tuition for school or something of value. It’s for debt... so this is a lesson for her too.
The defendant seems like a really sweet girl despite owing her step-mother money, I feel like she knows she's owes but was struggling to pay due to not having steady income.
I don’t really get bad vibes from either of these ladies.. but it does say something about her dad not being there to support either..separated or not?! 🤔 Seems like a good kid, just needs guidance, as do I. So, no judgment from me.
The defendant seems really sweet. She’s just young and she’ll find her way and become more financially stable in due time. But $8000 on a credit card?! That’s nuts!
@@sasziy375 It's funny to me that when the defendant is pretty & polite & soft-spoken, all the commenters are like "Aw, she's just young, she just made a mistake, she's still learning, blah blah blah" If she was ugly, all those comments would be completely different. :) Yours is one of the very few here that didn't assume what her true character is like based on her appearance.
This is the kind of stuff that can happen with good credit and a high income. Instead of getting your starter credit card that has a 3 to $500 limit with good credit and the right amount of income you can get a credit card with thousands of dollars in credit available to you IMMEDIATELY. That kind of spending power is just too much for some people. You heard the defendant say they were putting vacations on that credit card.
No. Telling someone who pays for your hair, nails and makeup isn't an excuse. Pointing out that you are paying the rent and helping your own mother out financially. Isn't and excuse. Also, think about it! She was 19 when she made a mistake on her taxes. She went to her stepmother for help. Any grown adult would know to contact the IRS directly to get that mistake fixed. She was STILL AND CHILD. That is what started this whole debt problem in the first place. But her stepmother decided to just pay it off instead of teaching her how to fix the mistakes with the IRS. Notice how the stepmother is separated from her father and she didn't even bring her youngest son but someone else? No, the child was trying her best and the stepmother made situations worse full well knowing that she was clearly causing the child MORE debts!!

Never loan large sums of money to a child. Either give them the money with no strings or stay out of it. Small loan amounts until payday is okay but be prepared in your head to forgive those loans too, since you already know they are struggling.

Yeah, I wasn't feeling how the plaintiff added way more interest than the defendant earned on that card and claimed she was owed that amount. I really hope it was an honest mistake and not her trying to get more out of the defendant.
How do you know the ex husband is lame? Maybe the ex wife is impossible to make happy? I've met people that if they do you even a very small favor for you it isn't because they're nice or caring, it's because they wanna feel superior or have leg up on you. Make you feel endentured to them even though you paid them back.
Because she knows the law and therefore she knows what information she needs and what is extraneous and unnecessary information. However, I still see her afford lots of opportunities for litigants to get in the latter. As an attorney myself, I appreciate her efficiency and disposition.
The step mom has a dark side to her, I can see right through her. Even though she helped her financially..... there's strings that are attached to those funds. God bless this sweet child! 🙏🏾
Oh, you mean like paying her back before she starts accruing almost 25% interest per year?!!! 1) I personally would NOT loan money I didn't have to loan. 2) She gave her more & more time to pay it back, and she didn't even TRY. It's the stepdaughter that has two sides. Appears sweet and cute, but is not. ALL this lazy girl has to do is get a F/T job!!!!!!
Huh? Both parties were civil. However, I don't think the Stepmom has an evil bone in her body. All she ever did was try to help, but now she needs to be complete because this situation was riding out far too long.
Don’t borrow money from family. Period. The way the step mom comes off she seems like the type that will help but hold it over your head any chance she gets. Very nice nasty.
A lot of y’all are harsh. Sheesh. Hopefully the young lady learned her a lesson and is doing better financially. She has to learn to save money and pay her bills on time.
What about what she did makes her shady? It's been over 2 years since she helped this girl out. If course she's upset that she hasn't been paid back and is feeling slighted after doing so much to help her. I think giving her so much time to make payments was more than fair. I think they both seem like nice ladies and I hope they can work things out because the step daughter clearly needs some one stable in her life. If her other family members had been more helpful to her she might not have ever ended up in this situation in the first place.
As hard as it seems, this step mum is the ONLY person who is trying to help her. 1st by offering her solutions to some serious debt, and then by holding her to account for breaking her commitments. Trust me, this gorgeous and sweet young lady is learning very valuable lessons now. Hopefully she learns and goes on to being very stable and successful in life
My brother and I freely "loaned" each other money over the years. The reason it always worked out was that neither of us had any expectation that a "loan" would be returned with any time limit. He had twice "loaned" me money when I was a student and he was doing well. A couple decades later he was unemployed and I was doing well. He never asked me to repay him, and later I never asked him to repay me.
I don't get it. Why are ppl mad at the stepmother. It doesn't matter what your relationship is with someone if you lend them money they need to pay you. How did something that should have been paid in 3 months take more than 24 months to pay. By not making ppl pay you back you are not doing them or yourself any favors. This is why ppl are not responsible.
I was thinking the same exact thing. I was in the same position as the plaintiff, but I was very responsible. TBH I would look raggedy to pay my debts.
I think it has something to do with her age and the fact that she was giving her a pass until she got the divorce. When you owe, you owe...but she recognized her hardships until she wasn't with the dad...now she doesn't even talk to her?
The young daughter is so respectful. She’s beautiful and very honest. She was raised correctly. I’m a gay man and can say this, not that I’m hitting on her.
She's a sweet kid. She'll learn. We all made silly mistakes in our early twenties. I love that she respects her stepmother and that her stepmother could assist her financially when she needed it. It's great. They'll be fine as family even though this ended up in court. They'll both get over it because they're both good people
Pretty and young wins, while the mean evil stepmother gets vilified lol. While this young woman seems like a really sweet girl she is very irresponsible. I think the step mother is as well. If you have to put money on a credit card for someone else to borrow you do not have it to lend.
@@KamalasNotLikeUs true but she expected the money back from someone who was clearly not financially responsible. She could’ve found other ways to help her or lent a smaller amount
Mean, evil, step-mother... are you KIDDING? This women takes on a child that is not hers. Takes her on expensive trips, adds her to phone plan, gets her a nice phone. She takes on the girls debt as her own, with no gain for herself, but just to try and help this girl out. That doesn't seem like a mean, evil step-mother. I've seen 'mean, evil, step-mothers' & they are NOTHING like this women. I've seen women that won't have anything to do with a child that isn't their own blood. Real mean, evil bitches, who hurt children, scar children, not just physically but mentally & emotionally as well. I've had to testify against women who have broken the literal spirit of a child, all because they didn't want them to be apart of their fathers life. These women basically abuse these poor children, (there are plenty of men 'step-dads' that do the same thing) just because the child is not theirs. I've had to listen to these poor children tell their story of physical abuse, mental abuse, emotional abuse... & sadly, some of these children commit suicide. This women is far from evil. She actually seems like a very genuine, caring, & good hearted women. She is far from evil or mean. I will always take a stance against child abuse, & help any child who is being abused. I applaud the step-mother for being such a kind person, taking on the responsibility of being a wonderful step-parent, & including this beautiful young lady (she truly is a gorgeous girl... & shes got such a beautiful color, as well). Bless all who read this, & may you all live a full, amazing & most meaningful life.
Imagine marrying a man with a daughter and calling her, “my youngest son’s sister”. Like sis, that’s your step daughter, that’s your husbands daughter. Don’t act like she’s so distant cause the one that really ain’t blood between the daughter and her father is you 🤷🏽♀️
That's not what she meant. She was referring to patching things up with the Defendant. She already stated that she and the girl's father were divorcing. There would be no reason for the two of them to make up if they were about to go their separate ways. Her youngest son is also the son of her husband, making him a blood relative of the Defendant. Because of that, they will continue to be peripherally a part of each other's worlds. It was just really poorly worded...
I appreciate the honesty of the defendant. I mostly appreciate her poise. I appreciate the lesson here set forth by the plaintiff. I hope for the defendant that she finds her way toward financial education and making wise choices; It seems like she deserves a hand up, and deserves to be prosperous in responsibility.
I wished I have a good step mom like this ! Omg she is genuine . She helped her I wish my ex step dad was like this there’s a lot of things I would’ve went through
She specifically said that her and her stepmother had an okay relationship. She paid for her to go on trips, and for her phone, and even sat her down to come up with two different financial debt recovery plans. And just because the defendant looks sweet and innocent everyone thinks the stepmom is mean or nasty. At the end stepmom says she hopes they can get past this because her son and the defendant are siblings. This woman took her to court to hold her responsible and help her grow up. It is nothing wrong with that. I think she's done more than her responsibility as a stepmother, and she's been nice enough.
I don't know why everyone is bashing the stepmom. She helped the stepdaughter avoid further penalties from the IRS, tried to teach her responsibility, all she wanted was her money back. And then they go on the People's Court, where they each get an appearance fee that the debt is deducted from. To me, it looks like the stepmom just helped wipe her debts out completely, while showing some tough love. I hope the stepdaughter has learned something, because she seems like a sweetheart.
People just don't get it. Like I said, if the girl were chubby and plain, no one would be saying how sweet she is. That sweet thing is just an act. The girl is a user in training.
If she was ugly they would’ve said the same thing. At the end of that day that’s family and why are you on a plan with the step mom anyways. She should’ve got a plan on Metro or something similar to only pay for the actual service and bought a used phone. If the step parent took her step daughter to court over 297$ , then $500 for the phone and 70 something dollars for the pass she’s been doing that and she’s petty. This girl is young that’s why people are feeling sympathy for her. Step mother is bitter and they likely have been had an issue during and after the parents relationship was over. I wouldn’t pay this bitch nothing either. Nothing about this is cordial or conducive to keeping a relationship with the daughter because of it being her sons sister.
I am not sure why everyone seems to think this young woman is so sweet. She misrepresented herself over and over again to her step mother. She made promises she did not keep and it was obvious that she was just going to blow her step mother off, because she made zero effort to pay her. If she was an honorable person she would have made some effort. The only effort I saw was, what her next excuse was going to be.

The plaintiff looks like a controlling meany but pay people back! Never know when you may need them again. She was nice enough to help you. I love that she at least tried to be respectful as she could tho.
Solution: if you think someone is controlling and mean, DON'T borrow money from them or ask for help. Figure out your own problems. Simple as that 🤷🏾♀️.
She'll get her money from the show, so she basically made sure the daughter (who appears to be struggling) won't have to pay another dime. Not a controlling meany. Very generous, helpful, and savvy woman.
The 21 year old has made good attempts in reconciling her debt owed, so it seems she wants to see this through till completion but finding it difficult to gain footing as other bills and expenses sets her back time and time again. I hope the stepmom realizes this and not be so outrightly tough on her. To be young and still figuring things out and stuck in financial obligations is such an intimidating to overcome, I hope she persevered. Good luck.
LMAO! That's funny. WHEN did she pay her stepmother or even attempt to?! KNOWING interest was about to accrue? Almost 25%! ! ALL she needed was a F/T job! That's it! Why is the judge throwing shade about the plaintiff being financially responsible. She’s sharp if you ask me she just made a mistake. Clearly the defendant knew who to go to because clearly the biological parents have no clue.
It's because she goes on trips and paying bills on a loan... people fail to realize that when you owe credit cards obscene amounts of money, if you get hurt or something and can't pay, your credit is shot.
The step-mom seems like a good woman trying to be a good parent and teach her step-daughter responsibility. The young lady seems like a typical 20 something that is very sweet and cares for her step-mom. I hope they get past the financial stuff and have a loving relationship. I really liked them both. They seemed like good people.
Also, I wished I had a sweet sensitive daughter like her. She is trying to do the right thing. I felt very sorry for her. She is speaking the truth from her heart. That stepmom better watch out for karma.
Idk.... Everything isn't always as it seems. E.g. if the stepmom is so evil why did she go to her for money ? N if the stepdaughter is so sweet, why would she text her saying she never wants to speak to her in life? Is it a case of being 2faced? I feel the sd is intelligent enough to know that this judge ain't playing so 'play nice' 🤔
Geez she’s so gorgeous and seems to have a good head on her shoulders! She’s made mistakes, acknowledges them and is trying to fix them. Her boyfriend is a lucky guy! Wish the best for their family.
I supported both of them. The defendant seemed nice and the plaintiff was helping her more than her own parents. As a family they seem irresponsible with spending money on credit. If they already had debts they should have skipped the trip to Disneyland and owing 8000 on a credit card is ridiculous.
I know that feeling I had to help my mom out financially and couldn’t really take care of my debt because of that it’s like I was being knocked down while I was already down still is tbh it sucks becoming an adult 😩😓
I just did the math and the Plaintiff was right about the interest. At the end of the 15 months, if there is a balance of 294 still owed, the credit card company charges interest for the previous 15 month grace period. And then, also starts charging interest on the money monthly as a balance due. Banks hope you won't pay off every penny that you transfered because then they charge back interest on the initial grace period. That's how they make money on deferred interest card transfers. The back interest on 294 after 2 years would indeed be about 145 if her interest rate was 24(26?) percent like the Plaintiff stated.
No matter how sweet you seem, no matter how pretty you think you are, if you owe someone money, you need to work to pay them back. People make mistakes, yes! She's in her early 20s (I'm in my mid to late 20s so I kind of relate to her on some level), so she's learning. However, if you're in debt to someone, paying for anything but the absolute necessities (food, hygienic products, gas, etc.) is completely inappropriate!

She's still Verrrry young. She needs to understand that. But All in all the young lady hopefully should learn to make her payments. I believe the step mom is exactly how she described... She tried 2 get ov..
The step mom is actually a piece of sh*t imo because she tried sue the defendant for 4G's worth of interest. Knowing that most of the interest on the card in question was her's !
The defendant seems like a very good kid, saddled with huge responsibility at a very young age. The plaintiff also seems like a good stepmom. I hope they work it out.
it pisses me off that when a young person tries hard and owns their debts, adults still shame them and remind them of their mistakes. Then when a young person is without a care in the world they don't say crap.
Just rewatching this video but totally forgot it. This young lady took out this loan from her stepmother when she was 19. 19?!!??? What 19 year old can do this? Barely into the big world and has debt suddenly cause she didn't know what she did wrong. She's paying for her mother's rent at 21. Well spoken, everything you can ask for in young lady. Then the stepmother adding to it with the Disney pass or San Diego pass on top instead of saying "hey take care of your debt first before having fun" instead of dumping more debt on top.
Everyone is saying she’s a sweet girl but the plaintiff did a lot for her and this “sweet girl” didn’t pay her back AND she wrote in her answer that she doesn’t like the plantiff..the plantiff didn’t have to do ANY of THAT..I think she had good intentions but the defendant showed why she ended up in deeper debt. She better get it together because who’s going to save her next time?

I always thought they should educate kids on credit and predatory lenders at school when they are 17 and coming up to credit application age. I was talked into a huge line of credit as soon as I was 18 and moved out on my own. I went to buy a cheap bed for cash and they convinced me to furnish my whole house at huge interest and I couldn’t afford it. It haunted me until I was 30, but it made me learn to live without credit through my 20’s.
She's so damn sweet. She's only 21, she's still learning.
Imagine being the only source of financial aid to a parent (ailing or otherwise) and she asks you to pay rent! WTF. Well to be fair, even biological parents tend to treat their children according to the way they feel about the other parent. Her youngest son is also the son of her husband, making him a blood relative of the Defendant. Because of that, they will continue to be peripherally a part of each other's worlds. It was just really poorly worded...
Get u...im in the same situation lol
morally and legally the wife comes first. marriage comes before blood according to the bible.
Probably just describing it like that for the show
@@marilynwillett804 Well....a lot if the Bible is made up so......
The plaintiff gave her a great lesson in life . PAY YOUR DEBTS!! The defendant is going to thank her later in life.
I wished I have a good step mom like this ! Omg she is genuine . She helped her I wish my ex step dad was like this there’s a lot of things I would’ve went through
Loved that the defendant offered no excuses and spoke politely!
"no excuses"?? She owed the woman money for over 2 years.
@@pixie_the_rabbit2917 I am late to this comment but I so agree. If she wasn't attractive so many ppl wouldn't have felt so sorry for her
If she was ugly they would’ve said the same thing.
You don’t know the backstory. Don’t make assumptions. She IS taking care of her mother and paying rent. We don’t know anything. So don’t put that energy out there
@@raflim Nor do you know the ''backstory''. I am going by what I saw. She is a liar. What liars do is lie, therefore they have no honor. Liars have no credibility, remember that next time a liar takes advantage of you. You have been warned.
One of the most respectable defendants in this court. She wasn't financially responsible, but hey, we all get tripped up. The young lady owned up to everything and stayed respectful. I hope they can work things out.
She was very disrespectful,to the only person who helped her.She said she didn’t like her personality, while saying,oh,she’s a good woman. She’s 21,for goodness sake, pay your own bills.
You can not like someone but still respect them.
@@eh-i1841 That not disrespectful. People can not like someones "vibe" but still respect that they are a person and not be friendly with them at all. its the same with family.
Did anyone notice how the judge cringed when the defendant said she had to help her biological mother with money? Sounds like that girl has irresponsible parents who've never taught her about life and are holding her back.
Yep - both about helping the bio mom financially AND paying rent. Later, the defendant said she gave half of every paycheck to her mother. So sad, especially at that age.
The defendant is 21. Nobody is very mature or financially responsible at that age.. She made some error in choices, which she has to pay for. She appears to be a nice humble young lady. Prayers that she can overcome most of her financially struggles and find a decent job
I was financially responsible at that age. I had no one to help me so I had to be. Never had financial help from anyone once I turned 18.
@@cocatfan So other people gotta be as hard up as you were? is that your point? This ain't the 70s where you call the manager every day to get a job, people don't get anywhere without help anymore. Try and get by now on your wages back in the day without Medicare.
@@cocatfan what kind of cookie would you like?
Nobody? You clearly don't know many people.
Wow I have to applaud the daughter she is very mature and handles herself extremely well. She is still so young and is still trying to find her way. The stepmother seem nasty/nice and it's unfortunate that she took her to court
She took her to court because she was being stiffed.
On the phone part- girl please. U Don't need a fancy phone. Just take.a regular phone on a prepaid plan.
There are many ways to reduce our expenses.
The money for the nail use it for something useful. Nothing wrong with your nails just the way god intended
Wear your face as god intended it without makeup.. stop calling the kettle black. A prepaid phone is not valid in today’s world especially if you do business from your phone. You can also have an iPhone on a prepaid plan which is expensive. No one is buying a flip phone in modern day or a $100 android. This step parent was bitter that her dad left her behind so she was in an urge to pay up.
Bina Bina But, the controlling mean stepmom... has nice money!! Such an ungrateful stepdaughter!!
That's it! It blows my mind how easily people are swayed by a pretty girl with a gentle voice. Who insults her stepmother in court after she helped her, and was so lenient in giving her extra time.
@@wvrjldid you watch the video or are you talking out of your @sshol3 that you call a mouth? I stand by comment. And when did I say I was persuaded by the defendants looks? My comment was relative to the case in the video, why would looks be considered? That’s something you thought up in your brain and said out of your mouth that you’re then blaming me for. Sounds like you a bitter hater and that’s more of a you problem.
In my first year of high school I took a course called Business and Consumer’s Fundamentals. It covered all of that and more! That course served me well. 👍
Why is the judge throwing shade about the plaintiff being financially responsible. She’s sharp if you ask me she just made a mistake. Clearly the defendant knew who to go to because clearly the biological parents have no clue.
Having that much debt on a credit card with that interest rate is not sharp.
Right that shit grinded my gears
It's because she goes on trips and paying bills on a loan... people fail to realize that when you owe credit cards obscene amounts of money, if you get hurt or something and can't pay, your credit is shot.
The step-mom seems like a good woman trying to be a good parent and teach her step-daughter responsibility. The young lady seems like a typical 20 something that is very sweet and cares for her step-mom. I hope they get past the financial stuff and have a loving relationship. I really liked them both. They seemed like good people.
People don’t understand how business will affect family simply because they can’t separate the 2.
That child is in debt because she is taking care of her mother at home....I just know it.
Also, I wished I had a sweet sensitive daughter like her. She is trying to do the right thing. I felt very sorry for her. She is speaking the truth from her heart. That stepmom better watch out for karma.
Yea that evil stepmother should have just paid everything. Even the interest
How is she evil? She helped this girl more than her mother did
She don't like her, but she asked her 4 money
And went back for her phone bill
Geez she’s so gorgeous and seems to have a good head on her shoulders! She’s made mistakes, acknowledges them and is trying to fix them. Her boyfriend is a lucky guy! Wish the best for their family.
The defendant was so sweet and non confrontational, she even gave credit to her bf about helping her with her personal expenses 🥰. I wish them well.
That woman is a Good Step Mother to take on any debt.
She isnt related to her
None the less why shouldnt the Defendant have to pay?
I supported both of them. The defendant seemed nice and the plaintiff was helping her more than her own parents. As a family they seem irresponsible with spending money on credit. If they already had debts they should have skipped the trip to Disneyland and owing 8000 on a credit card is ridiculous.
What kind of father allows there new gf/wife ? To sue his own daughter . She’s 21! The dad needs to step it up
I know that feeling I had to help my mom out financially and couldn’t really take care of my debt because of that it’s like I was being knocked down while I was already down still is tbh it sucks becoming an adult 😩😓
so now that you did it , tell mom to make a budget.
The young girl is so respectful bless her soul
Folks think that young woman is innocent and nice . WRONG ! She conning , selfish, and irresponsible.
Do you know her personally?
They taking too many trips
This the one😭😭😭😭
Right if you know she owe you money don’t even invite her and if you pressed bought money period you need to be in the house!
Thanks so much for the download. I used to watch PC every day after school while chatting with my boyfriend. 😊
The daughter is so sweet May she be successful ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰
She seems sweet the step mother seems exactly how she described.
I have an idea. Why not have your generous boyfriend pay your phone bill instead of your nails? Priority problems 😐
Really young kid..She will learn hopefully..geesh
Damn, again.... why do people recommend the boyfriend pay the girls bill????? WHY? why doesn't she get a second job? sell some of her stuff? do stuff for her stepmom that she might consider to offset some of the balance? I borrow, it is ME that owes that.
She's still Verrrry young. She needs to understand that. But All in all the young lady hopefully should learn to make her payments. I believe the step mom is exactly how she described... She tried 2 get ov..
How much do I love this young girl? I hope the Judge can take her under her wing behind the scenes because I also admire Judge Milian SO MUCH!!! ❤️
I think the “Thank you Douglas “ is my favorite part of the show!
Also Douglas is finnnnnne!
“I literally had never been to Disney Land, this was like my second time”
🤔
Woooooooow lol
Lol
😂 Right
Lol!!
I laughed way too hard on that part lol
Yes she's young and learning, but in no way does that justify nonpayment. Young adults need to learn to be responsible therefore, held accountable.
Wow I wish I had a step mom that'll loan be 1150$
Or anyone in my life period.
The step mom is actually a piece of sh*t imo because she tried sue the defendant for 4G's worth of interest. Knowing that most of the interest on the card in question was her's !
Right
@@WavyDominican2012 Oh, come on. Almost everyone tacks on a bunch of junk claims to case filings. Rarely does the person sue for the actual amount.
@@WavyDominican2012 If she had paid on time and hadn’t waited over 15 months to not pay it off it wouldn’t be an issue,
Such a beautiful classy young lady, I wish them both the best.
The voice in the beginning 😂😂 I live for it ❤️🤣🤣🤣🤣
The defendant seems like a very good kid, saddled with huge responsibility at a very young age. The plaintiff also seems like a good stepmom. I hope they work it out.
Seems kind of crazy to loan a child that kind of money
Judge Judy would of had her put a sweater on!😂
I’m sorry for the defendant she’s so sweet and beautiful but she needs to adjust her spending habits
it pisses me off that when a young person tries hard and owns their debts, adults still shame them and remind them of their mistakes. Then when a young person is without a care in the world they don't say crap.
If she was really trying, she wouldn't have gone through several jobs and now only working part time though
Love the judge, a VERY important lesson - defendent going on about all the reasons she can't pay - *that is a YOU problem, it's not her problem.
Judge giving some tough love and lessons
. She’s giving me judge Judy and Mathis vibes today I like it.
Wow! She couldn't even claim her as her daughter in law.
Because she is not.
@@sasziy375 LMAOO
That's because she's not her daughter-in-law.
Step daughter! Lol I noticed that too, she said “youngest son’s sister”
You meant step daughter lol but yea I caught that too...she was avoiding using that word.
Awww she's a good girl . Sometimes it's hard to be a teenage girl young women getting along with a step mom is not the easiest . I hope she keeps working hard and is financially stable .
Not her mother or father yet she loan's her money. ..
She fails to make payment arrangements now she feels she shouldn't have been sued.... excuse me while I laugh 😆 😂 🤣..

Wait rewind “I’ve never been to Disneyland before. This was literally my second time👀ummm”
Lol confused me too. I think maybe she meant she never went to disneyland before her stepmother came into her life
You don’t like me but you do like me enough to borrow money for me.🤔🤔🤔 Yeah GTFOH!!!!
Exactly!! The defendant wanted the stepmoms money! (but, doesn’t like her attitude/personality). Geez!
Two people who have no control and the mom is not much better with money.
