you don't understand how much I look forward to your videos!! I adore film & film costume analysis in general and the reason for that were the bollywood films I grew up on as a child but there wasn't much information about it that is accessible to me about it... so thank you for filling a gap 🥰 i'm so appreciative of the time and heart you put into all your videos!! 💓💓💓💓💓
There was also a reference to Salman khan's movie in OSO "In friendship there is no sorry no thank u". There was a scene in OSO when om and shanti are talking and om says this dialogue and the alleged "dialogue writer" heard this dialogue on OSO set (1970) and he used this in salman khan movie. (so this CAMEO was also added)
I got covid recently and decided to finally sit down and warch this while I was stuck in my room. The music SLAPS, the choreo is fantastic, and the whole film plays like a love song to Bollywood hindi cinema. I really enjoyed it :)
Om Shanti om is definitely one of my favorite movies, and the fact that this was Deepika's debut to Bollywood just blows my mind. This is a great breakdown. Well done on another great and informative video, Tas ❤. Looking forward to your next one.
seeing u bring up taare zameen par really makes me want to hear ur two cents on the portrayal of disorders in bollywood films and their accuracy 😭 i just love a brown girl take to video essays
another movie that oso gave homage to was singing in the rain! in main agar kahoon (and i think a few more parts of the movie) the set is nearly identical to one of the song numbers in singing in the rain and both songs happen inside a studio after the studio is closed for the day. also both movies take place on movie sets!
Greatest Mass Commercial Film Of All Time 🫡🎥✨ In terms of action, music, humor, referencers, creativity, VFX, Art direction, cinematography, dance choreography, costume, theme & cameos.
Great video!! Love the research you did! 👌🏽 One interesting fact that no one has mentioned yet: Madhumati's climax itself was adapted from the climax of the classic play, Banquo's Chair which had several adaptations, including one even by Alfred Hitchcock (for television).
I love every video you make! This has to be my fav yet (or a tie with Rekha haha). I love the way you disect the costumes and talk about the greater themes. Especially the references! I am looking forward to your new videos 🥰
Adore your content, Tas. This is such a love letter to our childhood favourite movie OSO. Can you do a similar analysis of "The Fame Game" netflix series starring Madhuri Dixit. I would love to hear your masterful analysis of that show from the film fan perspective, and the way the show melds Madhuri's real life with her character Anamika's fictional life.
Omggg thank you for this kind comment! I will def look into analysis of The Fame Game - such a great idea! Thank you so much for watching & the support- I appreciate you!!! 🫶
@@thatgirltas Girl, your videos are fantastic and I love them. I learned so much from your analysis and you have such a brilliant, insightful way of looking at movies and culture. Love your work!
Hi love the movie OSO can you help me find a English movie I once saw few years ago the scene in OSO when deepika is trapped on the building and looking out of the window whilst arjun rampal is stood in front of her smoking there is a English movie I saw with the exact same scene do you know which English movie it is please

Omggg thank you for watching & this kind comment 😍💕💕 I appreciate you!!!
The costume design for this movie was something else. This was our ‘Barbie’.
So true!!! 🫶💕
barbie is barbie and om shanti om is om shanti om in my opinion 😭
Barbie is insignificant in front of a cosmic entity like OSO
The pink outfit look was our Marilyn Monroe "diamonds are a girl's best friend" moment💕💕

Could you also make a video about references in "The Dirty Picture"? I find that one is also a fascinating look into the history of Bollywood 😊
Such a great suggestion! I will definitely look into that 💗
I truly salute the creator ❤❤❤.i love this video

This was so informative and entertaining. I'm a but curious about Hema Malini now, I hope you do a future video on her.
If I remember correctly, Dard e Disco was the first male item song in a Bollywood movie.
My personal favorite reference (and the only one i caught on my own) was the suraj barjatiya reference.

Hello
You are my favourite TH-camr
I really appreciate your each and every video ❤❤❤
Whenever your video came it's make my day.......❤
Can you make video Ar Rahman sir❤
The actress name pronunciation is yjayantimala and not vijayantimala. Great content otherwise. I noticed the same in Amrapali video u have done..
Was waiting for such a video for a very long time, thanks for your effort please keep up with these topics barely anyone talks about these!🫶🏻✨✨
