Six the Musical is a dream for me in terms of a cosplay I wanna make. I'm gonna be doing Anne Boleyn and I wanna make the fabric myself by sewing neoprene panels together since I wanna be able to sing and dance in it and have it be up to my knees and with puffed paned sleeves. I might go for a petticoat underneath because I'm not sure if there would be enough volume without it.
Looks beautiful! For any future rhinestone/stud project, try E6000 and a toothpick to apply. It doesn't dry instantaneously but they'll stay in place while you're working. Plus, you can do a whole huge project on one pretty cheap tube. Just keep it on a paper plate or something disposable because if you squeeze too much it'll want to drip out after 👑💛
@@AnyaPanda it's an adhesive so it has most of the same "try not to lean over and sniff too hard" warnings I think as any other? I just always try to use it in a well ventilated area but it definitely doesn't have a strong of a smell as something like contact cement. I can't vouch for how safe it is exactly but I can't imagine it's any worse than breathing in super glue 😅.
I use the same crystal glue and in my experience it works better than E6000 for rhinestones. The small tip makes so you can squeeze it directly on the boot, and the E6000 globs always dried up before I could use all of it.

As a person who had formal education about sewing garments- and works in fashion and stuff, I admire how you can go for it when it comes to sewing projects ^^ i was so so anxious when i saw you work on your bodice piece without a mock up to start with like- oh gosh gosh how can you just cut right into it ^^;;; but but ! i know experience is a better teacher than lessons themselves, and you, who has sewn much more than i have, carry that confidence of having experience and it shows in your final piece ! it looks absolutely stunning and i love love these kinds of progress videos! I've always been overwhelmed by the SIX costumes! I know they're designed very meaningfully, but there's so many elements to them that even sketching it out seems like a lot of work. But you actually did it, you mad lad, and showed that not only is it possible but it can be done through mayhem and mishap. Truly, a queen. ✨👑💛✨

Once it was on you couldn't even tell anything was uneven because of the way it stretches over your upper body, mistakes and miracles! I love with the headband was such an accidental blessing when it came off, it's amazing when you do something by accident and it ends up working out so much better than you expected. I also appreciate you showing when something doesn't go quite right with a cosplay, it both gives reminders of what to be careful about when making a cosplay for people in the future and also just shows that mistakes happen and it's okay. Tiny details going wrong are not the end of the world.

I don't normally leave comments on videos but six is one of my all-time favorite musicals, not just because i love character/costume design and I'm a cosplayer and ex-theater kid, but also because I'm a huge history nerd as well. it was also cool to see one of my favorite cosplayers putting this costume together, I've always wanted to cosplay from this musical, but I've never had the confidence to do so, but seeing someone I've watched and admired for a long time do it has given me that nudge I needed. thx Anya you truly are a big inspiration to me

I don't know anything about the character but I love the detailed process in how you made this! Detailed costumes are daunting but so satisfying in the end when all completed. I watched until the very end! I once did a costume where I spent probably close to 100 hours just doing hand-embroidery on a vest. Was I crazy? Perhaps. Did it turn out amazing? Hell yes!

After having watch Kirilee Cosplay’s Making Jane Part 1, this came up in my suggestions. 👑💛 Great job with this cosplay! This video also helped me pass the time casting on the stitches for a knitted blanket (twice, because I didn’t give myself enough of a tail to cast on the first time).

I'm going to be embarking on my own C of A cosplay, so I doth my crown to you for this AMAZING tutorial, your work is STUNNING. Interestingly enough, I saw a close-up reference picture of the chained necklace (which you've probably seen by now because I'm commenting a year later 😂), and they actually glued the chains onto a piece of that flesh toned mesh. I suspect they do this for comfort reasons for the performers, to soak up sweat while performing and avoid irritation, but it's a good idea for us cosplayers too I reckon! Once again, thank you so much for this tutorial... I will be using this as guide!

Been trying to find a Catherine of Aragon costume for weeks on Etsy and other places and haven’t been able to find anything, let alone anything in my size. I have no idea how to sew and have never made a piece of clothing in my life but I think I might try using this tutorial. It came out so beautifully for you! Wish me luck 😂

the results are amazing!!! i just know how much patience was put into this and as a crafter, mistakes like the uneven line of diamonds in the skirt are things that u should just ignore and hope no one makes it into a big deal, considering the ammount of small details in the cosplay, its almost imperceptible tbh! but ive been thru that and i know how annoying it can be at first lol. anyways, great work and im really excited for the next big cosplay ur gonna make, love ur vids

For the studs along all the “seams” they actually use iron on studded trim. I’ve never seen any to purchase in gold however. There is an online shop that sells six cosplay materials.

Is E6000 toxic? :O I avoided using it because I know it has the skull and crossbones logo on it and I'm scared of chemicals. 😅

I wanna do a Anne Boleyn one ! well, I already did one, but it was a Anne Boleyn cosplay in casual clothes which was great ! just had to buy a green cardigan and take some clothes out of my closet. ^^ next one will be Jane Seymour and maybe Katherine Howard in casual clothes and thank god I have to clothes that will go well for it ! :D )

I'm going to be embarking on my own C of A cosplay, so I doth my crown to you for this AMAZING tutorial, your work is STUNNING. Interestingly enough, I saw a close-up reference picture of the chained necklace (which you've probably seen by now because I'm commenting a year later 😂), and they actually glued the chains onto a piece of that flesh toned mesh. I suspect they do this for comfort reasons for the performers, to soak up sweat while performing and avoid irritation, but it's a good idea for us cosplayers too I reckon! Once again, thank you so much for this tutorial... I will be using this as guide!

Been trying to find a Catherine of Aragon costume for weeks on Etsy and other places and haven’t been able to find anything, let alone anything in my size. I have no idea how to sew and have never made a piece of clothing in my life but I think I might try using this tutorial. It came out so beautifully for you!

the results are amazing!!! i just know how much patience was put into this and as a crafter, mistakes like the uneven line of diamonds in the skirt are things that u should just ignore and hope no one makes it into a big deal, considering the ammount of small details in the cosplay, its almost imperceptible tbh! but ive been thru that and i know how annoying it can be at first lol. anyways, great work and im really excited for the next big cosplay ur gonna make, love ur vids

For the studs along all the “seams” they actually use iron on studded trim. I’ve never seen any to purchase in gold however. There is an online shop that sells six cosplay materials.
