You are right on with the meaning of the Daechitwa music video based on how Suga himself explains it. Agust D isn't an alter ego though, he's mentioned this before as well. If you really pay attention to his lyrics you'll realize he's just as savage in BTS content as well when the song allows for it. I like that you mention the way he manipulates his voice in the cadence of his rap, I really like that about his rap. Yes yes yes, excellent storyteller and it reflects in the way he produces the beat as well.
Not sure if you are aware that he also produces and writes his own music. That is why I stand him so much. The amount of work that he puts into his songs, including him playing keyboard in some songs. And yes, SUGA has a very unique voice, and deep talking voice that I love. The way he raps, and his voice is like no other. Regarding "That That' with PSY, he was only supposed to produced that song, but PSY kind of tricked him into being in the video and dancing. It is a hilarious story. Similar to how he was tricked into joining BTS, and being told there will be no dancing by Bang PD. You should react to SUGA'S other masterpiece, Interlude: Shadow. Suga is so underated as a dancer. He tend to stay at the back when the group is performing. Honestly everytime they BTS is performing I always look for Yoongi at the back as he is really a solid dancer. Suga is multi talented artist just like the rest of BTS. And also before I forget Suga is a good cook he really know how to cook.
He is practically good in everything, he can easily answer haters is a very smooth way without saying anything but with that smug smile. When he promises he will do it, doesn't forget. Before his surgery, his shoulder kept him from fully going wild when dancing and I think most of us didn't realize until after his surgery. I think that says a lot about how good of a dancer he actually is, the fact that we didn't notice he was held back until the burden (the wound) was gone. He's been thriving ever since and I love that for him

21:11 thing is, before his shoulder injury he even did b-boying and i think after a traumatic accident like that its normal to kinda dislike something you cant do anymore. I've danced for like 9 years and then suddenly i couldn't anymore because of my back, i absolutely hated when someone brought dancing up. I'm better now and i can dance again for fun but not actually dance dance, i got better at managing the rage tho, instead of dancing myself, i watch the boys xD SO, he mentioned that he really likes dancing, but he was ALLLLLWAYS in pain. and after the surgery you could really see his love for dancing even more. I mean, did you see him in run bts? that that? He always was good at dancing, but since the surgery - he can even enjoy it and that's soooo great. He really is an underrated dancer! You should watch a compilation of him (off or on camera) dancing. It's really worth it and i think that it's so awesome that we can se how much happier he is since the surgery.
Yoongi is underrated for his dancing skill in my opinion and I think a lot of it has to do with how much pain he had to deal with. I think people are starting to realize more in the fandom but I also think this is because he isn’t in as much pain and his enjoying himself more. At least this is what is seems to me.

Yay! I've been waiting for Yoongi's video. I love that you picked a compilation of Yoongi being the tsundere but also one where he's showering the tannies in love. He's got lots of sides to him and it just shows that he might come across as cold to people who judge him by one love language, but if we judge him by his actual love language he's so incredibly warm. In some ways, it's doesn't take much work to say that you love someone but it can be tiring to always put in so much effort to show it as often as Yoongi does. So it's okay that he values actions the most. It's good that BTS accepts him for who he is and recognizes how much Yoongi loves them. They just like teasing him about saying he loves them to get him to blush and be shy since they find him adorable. Yoongi was my first bias and the one to get me into BTS so I have a special place in my heart for him. I feel so grateful for his talents leading me to this group. Suga is so sweet he shows his love, he doesn't need to say it. Plus he has written and composed so many songs not just for himself or BTS but for Korean movies. His talent is beyond words and he is one of the most gentle, generous, humble and giving humans on this planet. All you need to do is watch the way he takes care of and protects his "brothers". This is from the BTS love yourself album trilogy don't know which album if it's love yourself her love yourself tear or love yourself answer but all three rappers do a song about a relationship, I believe RM did the one where the relationship starts and then J hope and Suga do it starts to fall apart and then it ends but I don't know which song is which. And most likely RM wrote this song because he's the main songwriter whereas Suga is the main producer.

You are right on with the meaning of the Daechitwa music video based on how Suga himself explains it. Agust D isn't an alter ego though, he's mentioned this before as well. If you really pay attention to his lyrics you'll realize he's just as savage in BTS content as well when the song allows for it. I like that you mention the way he manipulates his voice in the cadence of his rap, I really like that about his rap. Yes yes yes, excellent storyteller and it reflects in the way he produces the beat as well.
Not sure if you are aware that he also produces and writes his own music. That is why I stand him so much. The amount of work that he puts into his songs, including him playing keyboard in some songs. And yes, SUGA has a very unique voice, and deep talking voice that I love. The way he raps, and his voice is like no other. Regarding "That That' with PSY, he was only supposed to produced that song, but PSY kind of tricked him into being in the video and dancing. It is a hilarious story. Similar to how he was tricked into joining BTS, and being told there will be no dancing by Bang PD.

Suga is so underated as a dancer. He tend to stay at the back when the group is performing. Honestly everytime they BTS is performing I always look for Yoongi at the back as he is really a solid dancer. Suga is multi talented artist just like the rest of BTS. And also before I forget Suga is a good cook he really know how to cook.

Before his surgery, his shoulder kept him from fully going wild when dancing and I think most of us didn't realize until after his surgery. I think that says a lot about how good of a dancer he actually is, the fact that we didn't notice he was held back until the burden (the wound) was gone. He's been thriving ever since and I love that for him

I've danced for like 9 years and then suddenly i couldn't anymore because of my back, i absolutely hated when someone brought dancing up. I'm better now and i can dance again for fun but not actually dance dance, i got better at managing the rage tho, instead of dancing myself, i watch the boys xD
SO, he mentioned that he really likes dancing, but he was ALLLLLWAYS in pain. and after the surgery you could really see his love for dancing even more. I mean, did you see him in run bts? that that? He always was good at dancing, but since the surgery - he can even enjoy it and that's soooo great. He really is an underrated dancer! You should watch a compilation of him (off or on camera) dancing. It's really worth it and i think that it's so awesome that we can se how much happier he is since the surgery.
Yoongi is underrated for his dancing skill in my opinion and I think a lot of it has to do with how much pain he had to deal with. I think people are starting to realize more in the fandom but I also think this is because he isn’t in as much pain and his enjoying himself more. At least this is what is seems to me.

Yay! I've been waiting for Yoongi's video. I love that you picked a compilation of Yoongi being the tsundere but also one where he's showering the tannies in love. He's got lots of sides to him and it just shows that he might come across as cold to people who judge him by one love language, but if we judge him by his actual love language he's so incredibly warm. In some ways, it's doesn't take much work to say that you love someone but it can be tiring to always put in so much effort to show it as often as Yoongi does. So it's okay that he values actions the most. It's good that BTS accepts him for who he is and recognizes how much Yoongi loves them. They just like teasing him about saying he loves them to get him to blush and be shy since they find him adorable. Yoongi was my first bias and the one to get me into BTS so I have a special place in my heart for him. I feel so grateful for his talents leading me to this group. Daechwita is still my fave song of all time.

No one knew Seesaw had a choreo, so when he started dancing on stage for the first time everyone went crazy, both in person and on twitter. I remember the chaos he created lol. We had a fancam that we'd post whenever we got the chance and it had the most views in the history of twitter, but unfortunately that account got removed (don't remember why). Said fancam is still around, of course, but we lost those views since the original was removed. Yoongi has said that the King represents his past self, the greedy selfish part of who he used to be, and the peasant is his more humble present self. Also, the butcher in the beginning is also the executioner; their look exchanged at the beginning of the vid was them plotting the betrayal and execution of the King. Also, the antique gun he used to shoot the King.... is legitimately called Army.

The music at the beginning and sampled throughout actually is Daechwita. It’s traditional ceremonial, military music often used to announce the presence of the king. I think it translates to ‘great hitting and blowing’.
Yoongi/Agust D is playing two aspects of himself. The mad king (also called Anger) is himself from the time of his first mixtape ‘Agust D’ released in 2016, and the rebel commoner is himself now (well, in 2020). There are six others in his ‘gang’, representing the other members of BTS, and the young woman who presents him with the car keys embodies ARMY. The revolver he uses at the end is a Colt ARMY revolver from 1860. He has suggested that maybe he didn’t actually ‘kill’ his former self, at least not completely. Yoongi’s three named personas (Min Yoongi, Suga and Agust D) are distinguishable from one another as well as being aspects of the same personality.
There’s also a huge amount of cultural and historical reference which is best left to the explanation videos.

The three characters literally translate to "big," "blow," and "hit" - referring to the royal marching band procession and instruments used in Daechwita.

The "be thankful I'm an idol" is a diss directed at Korean Rappers who have said that "Idols can't be rappers". It's why he calls them "fried rappers", rappers who don't have talent, can't make hits and chart-toppers, who are pushing blame onto Kpop idols. If he wasn't an idol, he'd outright slaughter them in their genre. He's had those comments directed at his face numerous times, and he couldn't clap back at those times but he is in this track.

When he said all you rappers better be glad I'm an Idol, he and RM from BTS were told that they betrayed rap to become an Idol. They weren't rap anymore, they are now girls because they wear makeup. So RM with his song "Joke" and "Do You" and Suga with "Agust D" and with their Cypher 2 addressed rappers saying this. What's funny is the man considered the Father of Korean Rap, Tiger JK, loves RM and BTS. RM has done songs with Tiger's group MFBTY and on his solo song "Timeless"

I'm not sure how much you know about YoonGi/Suga/AugstD....but as you liked his MV then the following info might be of interest to you.
He is a respected producer in Korea currently and had won awards for his producing of other artists songs.
Suga/Agust D began writing music lyrics and working with MIDI at age 11 and held a part-time job composing and arranging music at a recording studio at age 16.
Active under the name "Gloss" (wordplay on his name YoonGi, which means "to shine") as an underground rapper, He originally entered Big Hit Entertainment as a producer at age 17 in 2010, but was convinced to become a part of a new group (he was told he wouldn't have to dance!! LOL) as a rapper alongside members J-Hope and RM before making his debut as a member of BTS in 2013.
In the initial years of his career in BTS, both he and his fellow group member RM faced criticism from the South Korean underground hip hop scene for "selling out" and becoming K-pop idols.
Between his commitments as a member of BTS, Suga/Agust D took advantage of time on the plane and in hotel rooms after concerts to continuously produce and compose music.
In an interview for Grazia Korea, Suga/Agust D expressed a desire to release the music he wanted to do without having to consider popular appeal or music ranking. He intended to release his music for free in the form of a mixtape to avoid such considerations, commenting that an album "has a feeling of being trapped in some sort of framework" due to the need for company involvement in promotion and advertising.
Developing Agust D musically on the base of hip hop, much of Agust D's inspiration for the lyrics came from his own stories of dream, youth, and reality. In order to differentiate his work from that of his work as Suga, he developed the alter ego "Agust D".

about august D. It's not sexual , back in the first couple years, other rappers would make rude remarks about BTS esp RM and SUGA call him sugar or augustd. He is saying call me whatever names you want, it doesn't change that I'm a better rapper and writer than any of you punks that make more headlines dissing us than with your own music.

This is from the BTS love yourself album trilogy don't know which album if it's love yourself her love yourself tear or love yourself answer but all three rappers do a song about a relationship, I believe RM did the one where the relationship starts and then J hope and Suga do it starts to fall apart and then it ends but I don't know which song is which. And most likely RM wrote this song because he's the main songwriter whereas Suga is the main producer.
