Interestingly, the incident was mentioned in the song Friends (V and Jimin duet) and also gave birth to the song 4' o Clock performed by RM & V. V recorded Jimin while he was in the park drunk apologizing and eventually it was the inspiration for that song. As always, love your views on the boys. Happy new year.
Hi Max, glad you got to the dumpling incident. You were doing really well in your understanding of V, but in this case you got him completely wrong. V is a detailed and plan orientated person, you don’t see this in the interactions currently, but if you watch the BE album videos, you’ll see how organised and planned V is. Back in the day rm use to call jm the resident narcissist and he use to get irate about everything, more so with V because they are chingu’s. V is the one who arranges the restaurants, the holidays and he was the creative director of the BE album and Suga told us he had the most detailed plans for the BE album. V has a a degree and an MBA and jm also did the same mba as v. V also was known not to talk about himself, he was closed off to the members, he only ever talked to jm about his emotional issues (he lost his grandmother while he was overseas then lost his grandfather just as they were going abroad for Bon voyage. He then fell into a depression around the time of the ‘disbanding’ conversation. So he’s been through a lot and jm was there for him. Also, bear in mind that bts had a heavy schedule and on top of that v was filming for a kdrama so naturally he was tired and hungry. V and jm are soulmates, they are opposite in character and personality and so bickered about everything, but this allowed them to grow closer. They now understand each other so well that the bickering is gone. By the way he’s not taking a lot of these words seriously, he’s being sarcastic, he has a dry sense of humour so when he’s telling us something, it almost comes across as real when it’s not. If you compare this to the way he talked to the fan in the dingo story and in the IU interview or in the new quiz on the block, you see a different V to the one in bts. I see that each of them have a role and place in the hierarchy of bts so they know their places and play to that role. Hoping you can get a better understanding of v.
@@CloudedLeopard8588 sounds a bit like you are a solo for Taehyung and declared him a (minor) god. He is all this but also flawed and that is missing from your "analysis". I trust someone who has little stake in it like Beaumont in his discription more because there is no preference and this is literal his field of study and expertise. I have no idea where you got the "narcissist" from as this is the first time I have heard of it... so: source? Because Jimin is literal the most empathic of them all. Jimin was the official project manager aka. A&R of BE as Yoongi sggested because Jimin was heavily depressed over what Covid did with his life. Yoongi, Taehyung and Hobi together with Jin and Jungkook handled the production. This isn't about who is "better" but who they are as people and friends.
Jimin needs to be "disciplined" more... He is always the last one to get up and he is always late... ALWAYS! :)))))) They left him behind in NZ and he had to run after them :)
The common theme in BTS, they have severe conflict over food 😂 but also bond over food. The banna incident, dumpling incident. 😂 They would give their liver to each other but will sacrafice eachother for ice cream. Real brothers.
They often say they fought a lot at the beginning. It does not surprise me. Put a group of teens under the same roof, the same room 24/7; add hours of practice, tiredness, and more. Trust me, there will be fights.
the nice thing about this is their relationship got closer and they made 2 songs out of it " Friends" by Jimin which became featured in Eternals the movie and 4 O'clock by V and RM. One thing they said that stuck with me the most is that even when cheers are gone they will still have each other.
And in Suga fashion, he took Jimin out drinking. RM tried to help V. Later, V wrote a song about it “4 o’clock.” To me, it shows their sincerity and care about each other and their work.
So allegedly, (according to JK), we got a very watered down / surface level version of the dumpling incident. He specifically said that the incident is still referenced to this day for a reason, and that it was simply insane. Which makes sense, cuz both Jimin and Tae mentioned how they cant 'tell the whole story' , but I think its beautiful how its undoubtedly shaped Vmin into what they are now.
I’m only an Army since 2020, and retelling of The Dumpling Incident is already lore I could listen to at every ARMY gathering. It’s a beautiful story filled, like a dumpling, with suspense, intrigue, drama, a bit of soju, and a little mystery sauce.
I think it really does highlight their personalities but also there is a cultural aspect to this story. Jimin is so considerate of all of his hyungs in addition to having a high work ethic. And Tae is his same age friend, which is very important part of the story. Because of this, Jimin is more comfortable to be argumentative with Tae and Jungkook, who is younger than him. Korea is still very much a hierarchical society. I’m glad that they learned how to work with their different personalities to become even closer.
@@carasss7775Yeah .. i think they settled after few hours of fight and might not have talked to each other like they used to do before normally for a day or 2 but then the bitterness of that after fight may have lasted for a week or 2 till they forget about it completely and may be its bcz they are of same age and as jimin said it may get difficult for friends to say sorry. And they might have said some harsh things to each other which they don't want to put out.
The Dumpling Incident not only gave them a stronger friendship, it gave ARMY two beautiful songs--- V wrote "4 O'Clock" about their 4 am meeting in the park, and Jimin wrote "Friends."
Wow the jimin hate in the comment section is insane, calling him jealous and stuff. Who are we to take sides? They fought and made up and are best friends and calls themselves soulmates. It's kind of pointless talking about who's more wrong when we don't have all the details ( we won't ever). They have different personalities and perspectives and they've worked hard to get where they are now, get their bond to where it is now. Hating on either one of them is not a good thing and honestly bts would be disappointed, even more so because they are so transparent with us. I mean who does that? We as fans are so lucky to have that. we should be grateful we get a glimpse into their life instead of hating on them. As for Max I thoroughly enjoyed your video. It's fun to listen to you talk about their personalities and I have learned a lot on communication by watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
Exactly Jimin loves them all... and he's usually the hardest on himself. V works so hard too and is sensitive. If anyone here has never had a big argument with a friend... then you probably haven't been good friends very long. My friend and I had one in her car once and she was about to put me out and make me walk. Now it's hilarious to us.😅
V really was working double, because of taping the kdrama too. It’s described in the book “Beyond the Story”. He had not gotten to eat yet that day because of the double schedule. So, the reality of how V really was overworking was probably a big piece of how this got so emotional.
I agree. I think it was less about him being selfish, and more about him being overworked and stressed, generally speaking. It's so relatable. I'm just glad they had the emotional intelligence to talk things out, empathize, apologize and move on. Those are life lessons we can all learn from.
Jimin wasn’t shy about it, He just thought Tae wouldn't be comfortable. The same thing happened with jimin and jk argument jimin didn’t tell us the details until jk did.
Honestly some of these comments disgust me. Especially the amount of them hating on Jimin. Those commentators clearly don't know anything about him and are simply spreading malicious content for the sake if it. I love vmin's bond and I think that they both had the right to feel the way they did, they were coming from different places but with no bad intentions and in the end the most important thing is that they resolved this issue and grew even closer as friends. At the end of the day, we're only their fans and will never know the full story so it's not our place to judge either of them or interpret this story that they willingly shared with us to make either of them look bad. Thank you for your reaction to this! I always love hearing your thoughts on the dynamics in bts because you're very observant and astute and most of your interpretations are very on point. I'm always amazed at how much you can interpret correctly from the smallest things and your love and respect for bts always shines through, which I appreciate.
On James Corden's car karaoke, he asks them if there are fights and immediately Suga folds his arms and says "Jimin and V" in such a funny, almost parental fed up kind of way, so funny 😂
V is the free-spirit, Mr. Social Butterfly, when you think having been raised by his grandmother for 14 yrs (almost the most loved and spoiled child) then you have Jimin who like you said well-disciplined, Our shy Math Genius, Class President , always aware of others. I love that Soulmate Friendship. Beautiful boys!
honestly, watching both Taehyung and Jimin talk about each other and of this dumpling incident makes me cry... for real. it's so emotional somehow...because i can really really feel their genuine, deep love for each other.
Vmin are so endearing. We can’t forget they were only 18 when they debuted, I know we always say this about JK, but they were also very very young. Jimin was thinking about everyone else, it was unfair for one to eat when the others were also hungry and tired, but V had not shared how taxing it had been for him to film the drama an keep group activities going, and he NEEDED to eat. I believe Jimin would have been the one to order the dumplings for him if he had known. But like they both said, this served for Tae to confide in him, and lead to them understanding each other better, that’s just life. I love their bond.
Thing is Taehyung was tired because of the extra work he had with filming the drama « Hwarang », so it was clearly an argument that opposed V’s sensitivity at the time with Jimin’s frustration, that comes with his personality. Just like you said, Jimin is the type to think about everyone’s feelings, plus he’s the hardworking and passionate type. Their opposition reminds me of the difference in personality between my friend and I. I’m the type to want to get things done quickly to get it over with BEFORE taking a rest, while she’s the type that needs a break/ to have some rest before doing the tiresome chore we have to do. I cannot rest comfortably if I haven’t done the chore yet, and she’s unable to do it without taking a break first. In this situation, I would be Jimin, wanting to do the practice quickly THAN enjoy the dumplings hahaha
And what’s even more amazing is that 2 songs came out of “The Dumpling Incident”. Jimin wrote Friends and sang it with Taehyung…….and V wrote 4 o’clock which was about how they met in the park at 4:00 in the morning to make up. V sang this song with RM (FYI if you listen to it….Jimin is the bird) both are wonderful songs that reflect the relationship of these two “Soulmates”💜
I love their friendahip. In Bon Voyage season 4 they are playing while in the process of preparing the food for all of them. They love role playing and JK walking in on them and walking away like " on boy, there they go again " never fails to make me laugh and teary at the same time. They are so precious ❤❤❤
What I love the most about this and even the JK disagreement is the guys didn't really want to talk about it out of respectfor each other. Ultimately they did for the sake of curious army, but neither member tears the other down, and they both acknowledge they could have handled it better. I think people will still pick a side based on their own bias, which is unfortunate, but the guys have definitely all moved on and continue to impress me with their emotional maturity!
I agree. This is what most admirable about bts bonds than other kpop groups for me. Its so easy to tear each other down when you're so close because you're comfortable, but i can see that bts rarely do that. Even when they were teasing, they would pat the others shoulder or give a comforting rub to show they didn't mean harm. Its great and funny to see when a group can joke around and make fun of each other, but sometimes i can see that other groups go too far with the jokes which hurt someone's feelings. Sorry for the long ass comment, just wanna say that respect is a trait that i saw in bts the most and i like that.😊
Ahh the famous dumpling incident. Like you said this is what brothers do, they argue about ridiculous things. But now they can laugh about the whole thing and are still soul mates 💜 There is a bit of a theme with food related arguments. Have you heard about the banana incident? 😂
Thank you, Max. It’s beautiful how both Jimin and V can talk so openly about their feelings, both positive and negative, and about their special friendship.
For me, it's the fact that they were away from their family's for more than 10 yrs. Together every single day, living together in a small one bedroom apartment, working together daily, Teenage boys and adults. So it's the time they went through everything like that together. The good, the bad the ugly. And they are still friends. That says a lot about these 7 men.
Was so great hearing your reflections around the fight but also their overall relationship and the growth! Thank you for sharing this video and your thought!
ur analogy hits the nail. Tae 'feeds' himself not just literally but metaphorically -- enjoy the now where possible since we're gonna have to work hard all the time anyway. Whereas Jimin holds himself back in terms of discipline and delayed gratification -- work hard first before enjoying later. different philosophies & how they view life. but this situation, the added fact that tae was extra busy due to juggling his acting project on top of bts definitely meant he was super hungry too... and when u're so hungry, u may not have energy to practise dance properly too. jimin also wanted to not drag the practice too long if they ate while practising... for the benefit of everyone. both sides had valid points, meant well but just came from different viewpoints and needs.. such arguments always come from good intentions and love but just different valid viewpoints....and it just requires understanding each other's side at the moment, avoiding adding fuel to the fire with words like 'if u had listened to me in the first place' or 'u're so mean to say that, u don't care how i feel' type of phrases, and then coming to a win-win compromise :') while u may not know BTS as in-depth in terms of knowledge and details, but am actually quite amazed by how astute u are at observing and thinking of the diverse psychology of human behaviour, and then connecting that with what u observe and infer from the BTS members. even if not every single detail u say is always fully contextualised, but because u're so astute, there are many moments u've analysed that REALLY hit it on the nail in terms of the essence.... and articulated so insightfully.
This was very interesting, I've never really watched the history of this, so thank you. But i will say, from watching THIS video of it...that Tae is a great story teller lol. He also, as you pointed out, gives his version of it! When he is telling the story alone, he gives his back story of being so hungry, working in Hwarang AND the concert...which is a lot more than the other members lol. He also says he asked for the dumplings, that its his favoriteand he really wanted it! And all he says about Jimin is that Jimin wanted to finish the practice before they eat. He says they didnt talk for two days and that HE asked to have a drink and talk!!!! So that's Tae's alone version. Jimins' version is that they both wanted to do different things and instead of either backing down, they got angrier lol. Was asked to leave the room and was angry for about 6 hours after because they still couldn't back down. He said they didn’t understand how to just say "okay". And he went on to talk about how they had to learn to compromise for each other, to deal with differences. He explained how they talked and got closer and that he values Tae even more. You can clearly see the difference in the way they both tell the same story lol. I love them both but for me Tae's version makes you think he did nothing wrong and Jimin was being insensitive. And Jimin's version makes you understand that they both were impatient with each other and thought they were both right lol. However, we are all aware that BTS does fasting, diets, limits themselves when they have a concert coming up...i dont think it would have been difficult for Tae to hold out until practice finished...especially since he said he did take a bite already. However, when they're talking together, we see Tae give us another critical part of the story...that no one else had eaten yet!!! For Jimin, it was a matter of the team and he's always shown he follows their culture and hierarchy and is considerate that all members are treated equally...even in the little things as well. I'm happy they worked it out and are great friends and soulmates...and that they can laugh at such silliness 😂😂😂
I have Jimin's character while my sis has Tae's. I told her before that if we weren't sisters, we wouldn't be good friends at all. Vmin proved me wrong.

19:41 "that's all he needed to hear.. to know jimin cares and wanted to be there for him" :') yes... u can tell V thought his feelings of hunger weren't acknowledged to justify eating while practising... but in fact jimin just wants the best for him too... to quickly finish the practice and not drag it further.. plus he was thinking of helping V understand it may also be unfair to other members who hadn't eaten even if V was super hungry (this was jimin's perspective at the time, even tho obviously V was extremely hungry after filming).. but all Tae's valid upsetness dissipated after hearing jimin tell him "i want to be a support to u and give u energy" :') these two are so relatable... truly best friends.
i think u're adding in ur own speculation about jimin being jealous, there's no evidence for that so it's not wise say it as if it's fact. and anyways i was simply explaining what jimin's perspective was, not saying that it was truly unfair to the other members or not. i agree that taehyung would likely have been the hungriest since he had to juggle both filming and bts work. i mentioned that V's upsetness was valid. @1stillwithyoujungkook
@1stillwithyoujungkook oh ok i thought u meant he was jealous of v being on the tv show. u meant jealous that v may be closer to the hwarang actors than jimin. ok for that i agree that jimin seems to feel a bit of friendship jealousy about v’s r/s with the actors.
Omg I just love Vmin 😂😂😂 They are beothers, best friends, they mean everything to each other, they are like twins, nobody can separate them, I still remember the letter V wrote to Jimina during the Malta bon voyage season😭😭😭😭 I was crying like crazy with V, not because it eas but becasue how beautiful and special it was, and how much they love and cherish each other 😍😍💜💜🥹🥹
I mean these were 7 young boys/men. Thrown into such a busy stressful lifestyle. We were all hotheaded and still somewhat immature at that age. So it makes sense that they probably argued over the smallest dumbest things like mandoo. V was in the middle of filming Hwarung and didn’t have anytime to eat before he had to go straight to practice for BTS. So of course he was starving. Jimin is always disciplined so he felt no we should practice first and plus have consideration for everyone because they haven’t eaten either. So put hangry and exhaustion together and you have a big fight. At least they cared enough to let it cool down and have a conversation over a few drinks then made up. It’s one of BTS’s successes. Being able to have an argument and not letting it consume them. They talk about it and then put it away. They don’t hold grudges against eachother. They are very emotionally mature. So proud of them!
After hearing both sides of the story, Tae having back to back schedules with no break in between, I understand you want to satify your hunger to continue with what needs to be done. You know, when you are hungry, emotions tend to be high you become HANGRY. However, understanding Jimin's personality and work ethic, practice comes first. The strict standard he sets for himself, he also tends to set on others around him. But knowing what Tae is going through at that time, emotions are at their peak.
Yeah and as we know from JM himself, he also tends to be very easily irritated or emotional when it comes to food- in terms of when he’s not eaten or is on one of his insaaaaane diets.
I am guessing it's also possibly bc of it being culturally disrespectful to the elder hyungs, they didn't get to eat yet and if Tae would eat in front of them would that be disrespectful?
@@sc33h3o3 as South Korea is very towards respecting their older individuals (either being a couple of years older than you or even older), Jiminie did say that he told Tae that the others members haven't eaten yet so it's not fair for him to eat first.
@@sc33h3o3 exactly, like i get both of them..because much like Tae, I become very much a b*tch when i'm hungry so I get him but I also get where Jimin is coming from :))
that's so true..loved the part u said it's not enough to have fights in order to be closer.. cuz resentment can built. u got to be able to have the emotional awareness to talk about the deeper feelings behind it... in order to get closer from fights. V and Jimin definitely did that, and their bond got stronger over time because of it, because of putting in the effort and empathy to understand each other. thanks for always going deeper from an emotional and psychological point of view in these reactions and analyses.
Loved your reaction, as usual! 😊 I might be mistaken, but my understanding is that, due to the respect shown to elders in Korean culture, Jimin and V would have been far more informal with each other than with the others, and of course, they were also classmates at school, so they spent more time together. Both of these make it more likely that they'd get on each other's nerves, particulary because they led such a stressful life, and sometimes probably just needed to vent a bit. And considering how hard they worked and how often they were limited in the food they could eat (whether due to diets, or just because they didn't have much money back then), I'm sure they often felt ravenous, which makes it harder to wait until after heavy dance practice. On the other hand, V eating before practice meant that everybody would finish up work later, and they counted very much on each minute of hard-earned rest. We've always seen in the Run BTS episodes how excited they get if they get off even an hour earlier. So, it was a conflict over two very major things in their lives: food and rest. V was struggling against a raging hunger, and Jimin was anticipating everybody finishing up work and being able to relax a bit and get rest. (Also, V was effectively working two jobs because of his acting in a K-drama, and he later mentions being very stressed during that period of time.) I think I can totally relate to each side of the argument. As you say, the way they learned to be even closer than ever really speaks to their empathy and character. Respect. 👍🏻😊
Aww... your insights are always so wonderful. I love that you share your BTS journey with us while exploring important issues that can help all relationships. I'm sure others have posted this or explained better before me, but just in case they have not... the scene I linked below, precedes the incident and shows that, as you probably suspected, it was never about a dumpling. Rather the dumpling being the final straw for Jimin. V was his best friend but suddenly he was always about a new group of friends (his Hwarang actor friends) when he was acting and it was was all happening at a still developmental age for BTS. So maybe a bit of immaturity in regards to how they handled it, but as Jimin says... it seems like not a big deal at all but it felt like it was back then. And the bigger issue being that he was actually feeling like he was losing his best or only same-age friend and brother is a bigger deal than a dumpling. LOL. BTS are absolutely amazing in how they handled their frustrations with each other. I think James Cordon asked them once in that carpool karaoke how they handle arguments and RM explains they used to argue some but they've learned how to handle it (usually by talking it out as a group, even if it is just between two of them) and they all agree that they really don't argue at all now that they are older and have matured quite a bit since teen years. Haha. This (less than 3 minute) scene should be the precursor to the video you watched. th-cam.com/video/6QNdgg4_xTk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=q7PW-XFnop0AWzMT
Jimin is perfectionist when it comes to his job, but V is really honest to say if his hungry he will say it to you and no one can stop him from that. That’s why they call themselves “soulmates” you know. But V is hungry after working hard on his acting in HWARANG. So he goes straight to the practice without eating. So he told the manager to buy him dumplings. But Jimin wants to do the practice first before eating. They’re both so cute arguing. I love both of them so much!
These boys are like brothers. And like brothers they are close but they fight. You definitely got JM and V's personality to a T. V is definitely more spontaneous while JM is more the type who sticks to structure. But as they got older, they have become very close. I would love for you to find the last episode of Bon Voyage Hawaii where V read a heartfelt and emotional letter he wrote to Jimin. It really was beautiful On another note, if you have not heard, JK and Hobi fought over a banana. LOL Thank you for this reaction.
i remember in burn the stage doc when jin and tae had an argument namjoon said after they made up that it was a relief they argued over choreography and not food. BTS take their food seriously.
Actually, because of the dumpling incident, Taehyung made the song 4 o'clock. Taehyunn wrote the song inspired by the moment when he and Jimin met in the park at 4 in the morning after the argument. They talked about it in th-cam.com/video/E9Un7WD-yJM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NgvAAmnmbl9fQHSL
These two have such a good friendship they even call eachother their soulmate😕. Those two also attended the same highschool together so they have a long history. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they had even worse arguments but just didn't have the courage to tell us from the embarrassment. 😭
I am a 55 year old ARMY mother of 6, ages 13-36, and I have been ARMY since before their debut so I've watched them grow up. Yes, if he says they didn't talk for days, then it's 99% true (though V can be dramatic at times LOL) but he was shooting a full-on drama WHILE being an active BTS member and doing the HYYH concerts - hunger is a real thing when you're burning that many calories. Jimin, however, was dieting at that time (and lost a lot of weight) and he is a perfectionist when it comes to their performances. Yes, believe it that he was THAT angry at V not giving 100% to the choreography. That was a very rough moment in their lives. But the advantage is that they had a method to dealing with disagreements and that's what kept them together. If you think this is funny, you should hear about the banana incident with Hobi and JK LOL
I loved this reaction! I love the vmin friendship. You know its a real friendship when you can get angry, argue and not worry about showing your true feelings with each other. I would really like to see you react to some more Enhypen reactions!
There is (the rainy day fight) between Jimin and jungkook..they both talk about it in their live 2 versions of the story this time also 😂 they first talk about it in bts festa dinner 2020 Ig
It depends on which version they tell but sometimes they say it was 2 hours, sometimes, 2 days and sometimes 2 weeks! We always think of it as a funny major incident but they obviously didn't think that much of it once it was over as they don't remember the details that well. Apparently the issue arose because the others hadn't eaten either. Of course once Tae had taken a bite he just couldn't wait plus he would've arrived a lot earlier and not had so long to wait if there hadn't been a traffic jam which held him up. In one version Jimin went drinking with Yoongi then met up with V in a park somewhat worse for wear. I think it was probably hours rather than days before they sorted it out between them. It's no wonder that they fell out when they were under such pressure in the early days. Bang PD encouraged them to air their differences and sometimes that meant physically but they all had to come together and sort it out as a group. It certainly worked as they have never seriously fallen out like some groups have. They have become closer and are now family not just work colleagues. Taehyung and Jimin are same age friends but there's an extra layer there which makes them soul mates. Probably the time they spent in school together after Jimin came to Seoul helped make their friendship so special. I wonder if V really took a video of a drunk Jimin coming to settle the disagreement? Next incident is the, 'Crying in the Rain' incident between JK and Jimin.
Food & performance practice are usually the things that will blow up if anything. Jimin was trying to be professional... and he practices like crazy... sometimes 16 or more hours a day. All of them are often hungry because they worry over weight. I mean, geeze, they know each others weight down to the kilogram. I don't think Jimin was even thinking about V having had filming before this. This being the end of the day I'm sure they were both hangry & tired. There's no sense being upset with either of them. They got over it. They both care about each other so much. This is now just one of those things they laugh about when talking about how insanely busy they were at the time. Mama SUGA had a drink with Jimin & they talked it out. Nothing more to it.
You have to remember this was almost a decade ago Tae was filming Hwarang : " The first script reading took place in March 2016. Filming began on March 31, and finished on September 1, 2016." * Tae had already had a long filming day [Hwarang] and was famished - extremely active, hungry, teenage boy, about to still continue to part 2 of his work day - that probably already had been long at the workday part 1. (Also today 29.1. -24 were released their example working schedules around the clock - and they sleep 4-5 hours a day when working [ both tired, hungry] - this ALSO was time when they had about 2 free days each year !) Apparently "brawl" was not a translation mistake - they might have come to blows - which doesn't make altercation usually better - > hence 2 days.
They were both young and under pressure. Jimin has always been very disciplined and hard on himself. Tae is more free, spirited and was working double filming Hwarang so it's only natural they would collide this way. It happens in every family and BTS are no exception. Their friendship got stronger as a result and Army got a legendary event in Bangtan history 😂. Vmin are adorable and great friends regardless.
Also Jimin wanted everyone to eat at the same time. That time no one has eaten yet that's why he wanted V to wait because he said it's not nice to eat while the others hasn't.
I know in the beginning the food was restricted due to finance and they were also on strict diets. For tired hungry young men food must have been all they thought about and the fear of missing out when one would get to eat before could come into play. When I've watched Bon Voyage I've noticed they ate like wolves and I think they might have a break from dieting while on vacation so they enjoyed as much food as they could without restriction. Namjoon recalls the time they decided to sneak out of the dorm to get an ice cream on their way back they thought they saw a manager so they hide the cone in their pocket...seriously!! K-POP regiment is brutal. The guys still talk about being on a diet even nowadays whenever they have shooting or special promo. They weigh between 128 to 140lbs that's quite thin for men who are no longer teenagers.
In dumpling incident, i can relate to jimins view, because i think i mostly do that. Even if im too hungry i will still wait for others . So we can eat together. Its like part of respect.. and also to make sure that all of us can eat .
I can remember my brothers being super hungry in their teens and early twenties eating huge quantities of food. Also my younger brother grew really fast at around the age of 15-16. Like 6 inches over a summer break. He would get a gallon of milk out of the fridge and then just drink the whole thing straight from the container all at once. No food was safe to be eaten later. Whole bags of cookies would just disappear. 😅😅. I love these stories it reminds me of my childhood and all the ridiculous things me and my siblings did together.
I think we can all relate to being Hangry lol. Chimmi and Taetae are both really sweet but like any family, they don't all get along 24/7. It's always interesting to watch how they work things out. I love how shyly JM speaks about "the incident" and how diplomatically genuine and charming Taehyung is. Love them both, looking forward to 2025 💜 Fighting!
Namjoon and Yoongi used to fight a lot too in the beginning. One time they began throw clothes at each other 😅😅😅but then Hoseok scolded them 😅😅😅 because he had just folded them neatly 😂😂😂 so they stopped the fight to put them away prderly again. 😅😅😅
It was 2016 when V was shooting series Hwarang KD at the same time they are practicing for a concert. So V was really hungry. V was even falling to sleep while practicing for the concert.
At16:24 ish. He is saying he is the first “Chingu” which actually means a friend of the same age. You may hear that and think it means close friend, but my understanding is that it is a close friend of the same age. And they are the only 2 of BTS that fits that’s (as far as I know). 🎉love them and glad to hear them explaining the “incident “ 🤣😂😁
I think Tae was hangry. His schedule was really packed at that time- shooting Hwarang kdrama during the day and proceeding to their tour practice right after as they were preparing for their (I think) Wings era tour plus other performances. But this event resulted to 2 beautiful songs- 4 AM by Tae and RM, and Friends by Jimin. 😅💜💜
They call each other soulmates. There’s a song that they wrote together. Well, I think Jimin mostly wrote it with V’s input. It that talks about their friendship. It’s called Friends. You should react to the lyric video and then the live version.
JK mentioned in a vlive that the dumpling story was watered down and was worse than how vmin say hahaha so I'm curious about the members' eyewitness testimonies on this incident
"V brings life to little things." :') yes so true. He has a pure way of touching * ur heart * with how he shares the things that touch *his heart*. And yes he's a great storyteller because of how personable he is when describing things and ascribing meaning and sentiment.
But he didn't think and didn't understand that V was working all day on the drama and then with the members of BTS and he was tired and didn't eat anything.... but Jimin was only thinking about eating!
@BlackswanBtsApphy That is your pathetic opinions. hater! Jimin was so jealous of whom?? Jimin did not think about his friend?? That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard! You are so insecure, pathetic and toxic! You are the one who is jealous here! Who cares about what hater like you said! V was so moved that he even wrote the letter to Jimin saying how much he helped and support him during that time and other times. Living together with Jimin for more than 10 years, the members have been praising Jimin so many times being selfless and mature. The leader, Namjoon even said that he respected Jimin so much and Jimin was the most mature member in his group. Jimin was very thoughtful towards the members since the rest members did not eat either! That is why Jimin asked V of waiting a bit until the practice was finished so that they could eat together. So be quiet, hater!

@1stillwithyoujungkook Including you here are 3 akgae above ( @0.0TK @BlackswanBtsApphywho @1stillwithyoujungkook) left so many hateful comments under the comments on Jimin here. How pathetic! Why don't you focus on your fav, Tae!(&JK) without harassing Jimin. The worst akgae is @LofieIoves who uses Jimin's picture as pfp as if he is his fan. She left horrible comments on Jimn calling him devil That is the one of the typical akgae behavior! Try to hide their true face and their real favorite, Tae admitted that he certainly felt immature and selfish at that time and the members said that, too. That is why Tae and the members said he has been changed a lot in a good way nowadays. You only remember what Jimin said. And Jimin never said that he certainly felt mad for reasong he was wrong!. What you said is not only wrong but also it has nothing to do with this situations cuz Jimin did nothing wrong!. No wonder you left so many negative comments under the positive comments on Jimin! Do not blaming Jimin's fans and calling them as "so tox*c" Do not spread fake info and stories from your imagination!
You are totally right! Wow, there are lots of pahetic, insecure and toxic akgae under your comments. They have been leaving lots of hateful and malicious comments on Jimin here. Just ignore them. How pathetic they are!
I've been hearing about this for a while now, so had to check it out in full!!!
@@isabellereffas3679ah Friends. Love it. The whole song is just a treasure trove of VMin memories. 🫰
Hoping you can get a better understanding of v.

sounds a bit like you are a solo for Taehyung and declared him a (minor) god.
Oh yeah ,with food ends the friendship 😂😂😅 ... but it is so funny.
That time JK traded Jin for ice cream 🤣🤣🤣
Or when jin and v fought over ICE cream in ptd bts......
Dessa briga por bolinhos nasceu 4 0'clock
There's the black bean noodle incident as well
They often say they fought a lot at the beginning. It does not surprise me. Put a group of teens under the same roof, the same room 24/7; add hours of practice, tiredness, and more. Trust me, there will be fights.
Totally
the nice thing about this is their relationship got closer and they made 2 songs out of it " Friends" by Jimin which became featured in Eternals the movie and 4 O'clock by V and RM.
Haha! I love this description
@@samraffertymusic Thank you. I’m sure it can be improved by someone who has actually made a Korean dumpling. 😂😂
Agreed, that is a great description. 💜
And 2 songs
@@rmy2202 4 o'clock and Friends? 🤗
True -- good point!
Every time Tae talks about the time it took them to speak after the Dumpling Incident the time increases. I think he's up to two weeks now
I noticed how details like that changed with V's retellings! 2 days to 2 weeks... I have video, etc. so funny
😂😂😂
The dumpling incident may have been quite serious at the time, but are trying to downplay it
@@carasss7775Yeah .. i think they settled after few hours of fight and might not have talked to each other like they used to do before normally for a day or 2 but then the bitterness of that after fight may have lasted for a week or 2 till they forget about it completely and may be its bcz they are of same age and as jimin said it may get difficult for friends to say sorry.
It’s the typical Jimin hate train. No surprise there!
mentally unstable people only know hating people. I don't understand how someone could hate kind and humble guys like BTS
Ok
I agree. I think it was less about him being selfish, and more about him being overworked and stressed, generally speaking. It's so relatable. I'm just glad they had the emotional intelligence to talk things out, empathize, apologize and move on. Those are life lessons we can all learn from.
Yes true

He is 😭.
Two things can be true at once.
I’m also certain he didn’t want to mention the drinking 💀
Remember when things were more simple and we could just drink the juice from the walnut. Sorry for my english
V the story teller and Jimin reflecting in depth and telling us what he learnt from the incident. ❤
honestly, watching both Taehyung and Jimin talk about each other and of this dumpling incident makes me cry... for real. it's so emotional somehow...because i can really really feel their genuine, deep love for each other.
Sorry for the long ass comment, just wanna say that respect is a trait that i saw in bts the most and i like that.😊
Omg people pick sides over this!!!?!
Ahh the famous dumpling incident. Like you said this is what brothers do, they argue about ridiculous things. But now they can laugh about the whole thing and are still soul mates 💜 There is a bit of a theme with food related arguments. Have you heard about the banana incident? 😂
I have not! Will have to look into that one
J-Hope vs JK? 😁that’s one?
There is also the Jimin and JK incident in the rain! Both have retold their perceptives also. Would be good to have a look🤣

You are so welcome!
ur analogy hits the nail. Tae 'feeds' himself not just literally but metaphorically -- enjoy the now where possible since we're gonna have to work hard all the time anyway. Whereas Jimin holds himself back in terms of discipline and delayed gratification -- work hard first before enjoying later. different philosophies & how they view life. but this situation, the added fact that tae was extra busy due to juggling his acting project on top of bts definitely meant he was super hungry too... and when u're so hungry, u may not have energy to practise dance properly too. jimin also wanted to not drag the practice too long if they ate while practising... for the benefit of everyone.
both sides had valid points, meant well but just came from different viewpoints and needs.. such arguments always come from good intentions and love but just different valid viewpoints....and it just requires understanding each other's side at the moment, avoiding adding fuel to the fire with words like 'if u had listened to me in the first place' or 'u're so mean to say that, u don't care how i feel' type of phrases, and then coming to a win-win compromise :')
while u may not know BTS as in-depth in terms of knowledge and details, but am actually quite amazed by how astute u are at observing and thinking of the diverse psychology of human behaviour, and then connecting that with what u observe and infer from the BTS members. even if not every single detail u say is always fully contextualised, but because u're so astute, there are many moments u've analysed that REALLY hit it on the nail in terms of the essence.... and articulated so insightfully.
Appreciate the lovely compliment! So glad you're enjoying the content! Thanks!
Park jimin love you perfect 👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌🤟🤟💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

19:41 "that's all he needed to hear.. to know jimin cares and wanted to be there for him" :') yes... u can tell V thought his feelings of hunger weren't acknowledged to justify eating while practising... but in fact jimin just wants the best for him too... to quickly finish the practice and not drag it further.. plus he was thinking of helping V understand it may also be unfair to other members who hadn't eaten even if V was super hungry (this was jimin's perspective at the time, even tho obviously V was extremely hungry after filming).. but all Tae's valid upsetness dissipated after hearing jimin tell him "i want to be a support to u and give u energy" :') these two are so relatable... truly best friends.

and anyways i was simply explaining what jimin's perspective was, not saying that it was truly unfair to the other members or not. i agree that taehyung would likely have been the hungriest since he had to juggle both filming and bts work. i mentioned that V's upsetness was valid.
Both of them are of same age that's why they bicker like real best friends
For sure
Omg I just love Vmin 😂😂😂 They are beothers, best friends, they mean everything to each other, they are like twins, nobody can separate them, I still remember the letter V wrote to Jimina during the Malta bon voyage season😭😭😭😭 I was crying like crazy with V, not because it eas but becasue how beautiful and special it was, and how much they love and cherish each other 😍😍💜💜🥹🥹
Actually they usually fought over food😂 Aside from the Dumpling Incident, they also have the episode called Banana Incident😂
@@ladyravenclaw i imagine on top of that to be late was probably much worse lol
Vmin soulmate 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
THEY ARE SUCH GOOD PEAPLE I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
These boys are like brothers.
Your analysis on Jimin & V is so true!!!
I love how this became such a legendary moment among the fans hahah
These guys can buy dumplings all day errday, but they fight over one food. Such love ❤️
we love jimin's level of discipline, he was so mature for his age
i remember in burn the stage doc when jin and tae had an argument namjoon said after they made up that it was a relief they argued over choreography and not food.
And Jimin wrote Friends.
Damn I am also grateful to the Jumbo Dumpling
Love them both. The dumpling incident was so funny!
Thanks to jumbo dumplings, we got Jimin writing "friends" and Tae writing "4'o' Clock" for eachother 💕
Thanks for the nice reaction of Jimin and V...though I knew it but still nice to hear it from you
I’d love to see you reacting to more videos about Jimin and tae’s friendship ❤❤
I loved this reaction! I love the vmin friendship. You know its a real friendship when you can get angry, argue and not worry about showing your true feelings with each other. I would really like to see you react to some more Enhypen reactions!
There is (the rainy day fight) between Jimin and jungkook..they both talk about it in their live 2 versions of the story this time also 😂 they first talk about it in bts festa dinner 2020 Ig
I just wished people loved and respected their bond the same way that they do. Sad 😔
Jimin is so kind and selfless, I would last a day with these men 💀 always caring for these ungrateful "friends"
Friendless l0ser spotted😢
악플다는 악마같은 악개들 보다 지민이나 뷔는 훨씬 좋은 사람들이다
Thank you for your reaction 💜
Thanks max for your reaction!:) made me feel better. Their friendship is really beautiful
Filming began on March 31, and finished on September 1, 2016."
*
Tae had already had a long filming day [Hwarang] and was famished - extremely active, hungry, teenage boy, about to still continue to part 2 of his work day - that probably already had been long at the workday part 1. (Also today 29.1. -24 were released their example working schedules around the clock - and they sleep 4-5 hours a day when working [ both tired, hungry] - this ALSO was time when they had about 2 free days each year !)
Apparently "brawl" was not a translation mistake - they might have come to blows - which doesn't make altercation usually better - > hence 2 days.
19:26 one of my favorite quotable quotes from V! shakespeare who?? 😄 he's eloquent in his own way and so sincere too💗
They were both young and under pressure.
That time no one has eaten yet that's why he wanted V to wait because he said it's not nice to eat while the others hasn't.
vmin
Humble Jimin❤
The dumpling incident that had maybe 25% to do with eating dumplings. At least they got everything out as a result.
Jimin is an angel.
Love them both, looking forward to 2025 💜 Fighting!
nobody wants to eat a cold dumpling and when you're hangry you're hangry
the incident is so previous, thanks for reacting to this :)
Namjoon and Yoongi used to fight a lot too in the beginning. One time they began throw clothes at each other 😅😅😅but then Hoseok scolded them 😅😅😅 because he had just folded them neatly 😂😂😂 so they stopped the fight to put them away prderly again. 😅😅😅
Thank you. I appreciate your videos so much. Thank you.
It was 2016 when V was shooting series Hwarang KD at the same time they are practicing for a concert. So V was really hungry. V was even falling to sleep while practicing for the concert.
Of course we need more bts reactions please❤
Jimin Super❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
they’re so adorable 😂😂😂😂 I can’t
I agree Taehyung is such a creative detailed story teller and can be poetic at times which you do see this through his solo music :)
Happy New Year Max! Always intetesting contents esp about the boys, BTS
RM and J-hope are also same age friend, 94z
I think Tae was hangry. His schedule was really packed at that time- shooting Hwarang kdrama during the day and proceeding to their tour practice right after as they were preparing for their (I think) Wings era tour plus other performances. But this event resulted to 2 beautiful songs- 4 AM by Tae and RM, and Friends by Jimin.
😅💜💜
They were overworked, stressed, and exhausted. The fight got physical.
They call each other soulmates. There’s a song that they wrote together. Well, I think Jimin mostly wrote it with V’s input. It that talks about their friendship. It’s called Friends. You should react to the lyric video and then the live version.
Tae went to a park, Jimin met him there at 4am, and V apparently still has the video of Jimins drunken apology 💜
Thank you Max, they are so cute :)
Jimin argument at that time was that since no one had eaten either , it would be disrespectful to eat before their hyungs
V was so moved that he even wrote the letter to Jimin saying how much he helped and support him during that time
and other times.

@1stillwithyoujungkook
Including you here are 3 akgae above ( @0.0TK @BlackswanBtsApphywho @1stillwithyoujungkook) left so many hateful comments under the comments on Jimin here. Try to hide their true face and their real favorite,
Tae admitted that he certainly felt immature and selfish at that time and the members said that, too.
Do not blaming Jimin's fans and calling them as "so tox*c"
Do not spread fake info and stories from your imagination!
You are totally right!
Wow, there are lots of pahetic, insecure and toxic akgae under your comments.
They have been leaving lots of hateful and malicious comments on Jimin here.
Just ignore them. How pathetic they are!
