The cafe people were too nice, you had a stable food source, a secure location, and only 2 mouths to feed because they left the dying-from-the-inside nords, and they gave it away, snake tricked them sure but that secured a win, blind trust when everyone's about to die doesn't, they let themselves be vulnerable for the sake of peace Same with the bushis, great people, decent leadership, but relied on support from the alliances to live out, trying to seek refuge to adhere to morals whilst your clanmates was dying instead of securing a food source quickly and consistently was a huge throw imo, they stayed true to their characters' but naturally they paid the price for that Snake was a perfect blend of leader and survivor, whereas the other two factions were on far ends of the spectrum, it was extremely entertaining
@@ghetoknight7801yeah they were too altruistic for their own good. In a situation where everyone is desperate for food and you advertise your cords to everyone with kids of food it’s only a matter of time before someone kills you. They would have been better off either hunkering down or just helping their fellow birds rather than trusting everyone else to be peaceful
Snake is a great example of how quickly the experiment changes people. Its interesting seeing how snake started out as a pretty moral leader, and convincing enough to get more power then his own king. but the wendigo stuff caused him to slowly become more and more despite for food, and after more and more kills, he sought out for food for his survival, and soon killed those that didn't do anything to him just to survive. Its a good character study, He's deffidently a fallen hero, turned villain, but its understandable why he won. I do wish the cafe people made it to the end, but the best thing they could've done was leave the cafe after the wendigo stuff became known. even if it meant losing comfort, the reality was they were on a ticking time bomb, had they left earlier, but still advertized the cafe, they probably coulda gotten to a safer location, and go under the radar tell the captain arrived. and I think by that point, even snake wouldn't mind them jumping since food wouldn't matter as much at that point, and ausie diffidently be cool with them on there
honestly, as much as I hated the original nord regime for their lack of cooperation and unreasonable treatment towards the bushies... he was the payback the nords deserved. Everything they did wrong at the start was a wrong done toward Aussie. Their lack of diplomacy led to and unnecessary war and the death of his closest friend, the separation of their most benevolent members into the hyper-efficient cafe scheme, and a severe lack of resources that left him abandoned once the winter started. While I still think the bushy ghouls deserved better, Aussie does as well.
Idk man Aussies' friend died in a conflict his team started, and the islanders only crime against him at that point was neutrality. His "revenge" doesn't really seem like it should be called a revenge
This event was a lot better than the first, glad you guys learned to not make anything too unfair this time around but still have interesting gimmicks in the event, ggs
Kuru works a lot differently though, IRL it's not transmitable and it takes years of consisting on solely human flesh to contract, unless you eat the brain.
@@theguywiththeoldds3896 I doubt it was meant to ve accurate. If anything, it was probably more inspired by the Wendigo Curse rather than the IRL Kuru disease.
It took me a second to realise why Snake was infected if the crown protects you from the disease. Then I remembered that while he’s the leader, they let the original king keep the crown
As one of the few that reached the end, this experiment was brilliant. Having the opportunity of being a Delegate for the Islanders was great, despite not being that great at negotiating (at least at the time lol) Can't wait for the next experiment!
I think he deserved the spot of winner, he was a great leader and knew how to make his group survive. Had not been for him becoming a wendigo, i think his group would have been the last surviving one.
I love the people at the cafe. They're so wholesome and welcoming. Sadly, being too kind and friendly is what doom their safe space at the end. They could have survive till the end if they just forcus on projecting themselves
@@grenetin6062 See, it feels the opposite to me. It's pretty clear that Snak3itis leaned into the roleplaying after he got infected. He was getting chat messages about going insane and craving human flesh, and he's clearly adopting that in the way he talks, making jokes about eating people. It didn't seem like it had anything to do with him as an actual person, but just the turn of his character because of the disease. Aussie, on the other hand, seemed to just be killing random people for no reason, which is one of the least fun kinds of people to be in a Minecraft event with.
Personally I liked Snake as a character and its evolution of willing to sacrifice himself. He is not the one in fault in here, his companions were by ignorance, letting him go out and infect people, he even acknowledged the possibility of being executed. He was a great leader, and one that was willing to go to the bitter end, supply his team, a great diplomat, but his own leadership killed all of his friends. Great story.
No seriously Prologue snake quickly befriends both factions and properly tackles the issue of hostility between the two Also delegates roles for securing food And keeps political relations on a standstill, completely neutral to both sides after communication was more or less out He becomes infected, not immune since he isn't king, he still keeps peace He's then willing to bait himself and take out the sole aggressor from the nords, who was on a blood hunt, which got everyone infected because it wasn't caught on earlier with the first guy (thought he got infected by lambchops) After most of his clan was infected and he realized everyone was low on food, was when his brilliancy comes into play Making best use of his political image, he cunningly whittles down the bushis with a bait coord, and plans a surprise hunt right under the nords noses Only after failing to secure food from his clanmates who weren't willing to turn ofc (are they rly even clanmates then) Then he wins the cafe, which was like a third of the nords' remaining power He also successfully escapes death from an ambush by the bushis, who should be commended for survival of the trek but honestly attacked way too late And after dust was settled and they were properly in power, despite being severely weakened, he went back to peaceful negotiations and "politically" securing the win This is from a rogue, not even king, who was trapped and only directing for half the game, and on the faction waterlocked with arguably the weakest offensive power, no night vision no diamond gen, He and his clan REALLY deserved that win, they were the most human like, not overly passive like the bushis or stupidly aggressive like the nords. The Cafe people also probs coulda won but their mistake was monopolizing food and then giving up the monopoly for the sake of what, peace? In the season where every faction is on the brink of death from starvation, they could have secured the win easily if it wasn't for that showing Taking advantage of that, if he hadn't I'd be pissed.
@@ghetoknight7801 The cafe people were naive and kind. They didn’t see themselves as having a “monopoly on food” they saw themselves as a cafe waiting for customers so they offered food to everyone. They single-handedly saved every single nation from starvation (they sheltered the last of the Norns, their location being known allowed the Bushies and Islanders to meet which fed the islanders). Unfortunately for them, this was not the right event for kindness. I do agree that if they would’ve laid low they probably had the best shot at winning. But in their kindness, they allowed so many others to live. That’s why the cafe people were my favorites.
This was very well done. Some of the other channels focus on the macro and don't show individual conversations. I really appreciate how we get to know the individual players and watch their journeys and interactions
this event was brilliant, giving off the impression that the event was gonna be a generic civilization war event, only to slowly reveal that it was a trial of survival
This video's a masterpiece. The editing is on point and the way the players all act is incredible. Snake explaining the canabilism and wendigos to the Islanders intercut with one of the Bushies getting sick from eating the meat gave me chills.
That was so entertaining from beginning to end, this was literally the only one of these videos I wantched in full. It's full of lore, plot twists, comedic timing, excellent action, editing. All of it. Right down to the very bone. Super cool.
Bushies got done dirty man. Got the worst buff (although coolest looking mask imo), farthest from the spawners, and got harshly betrayed and misled. Loved their goofiness, nobleness, and loyalty. Favorite group, but I'd expect more resourcefulness in a jungle. The weasel was ok ig and the mercenary pretty cool
What happened with Aussie is funny cuz in norse mythology there’s this concept called bergentrückung where a king rests below a mountain until his people need him
i am not a reality tv kinda guy but i think this is turning me into one. this was amazing to watch and i literally found myself so invested, when the final group of uninfected was like 'lets just cook the human meat im sure itll be fine' i was like THEY DONT KNOW NOOOOO
I don't play Minecraft but I thoroughly enjoyed these social experiments. You are an excellent story teller. Makes me wish I played Minecraft and be good enough to join in on future events. Can't wait to see the next installment
'The Bushies should've mined for iron and then make a composter and turn the leaves into bone meal... Yet, I think everyone forgot about composters. They could've also made their own tree farm if they collect a sapling from one of the leaves. Also, apples have a chance to drop from trees so they could shear the leaves off the tree before they take the wood so that they can then use the leaves for bone meal or to have a chance of getting more sapling and/or more apples.' - Chrome
I've never been THIS invested in Minecraft Events before, I really enjoy the suffering & betrayal happening left and right. I applaud the Bushies for trying to survive until the end even though it resulted in extreme and desperate measures to survive. Looking forward to the next event! :D Though I'm somewhat skeptical about the "People who are in power" vs "People who are struggling to survive in the lower class" since I've seen these roles played out a couple of times, I'm still looking forward to what this channel has in store for us viewers. Keep up the good work and I hope everyone can have fun participating & planning the next event! :]
i find it so funny that everyone else is starving to death and going crazy meanwhile there are people chilling at the cafe not knowing what is happening

Cap from the event here! It was super fun and I’m really glad I got as far as I did. On that desolate island, all we had was fish and more fish. We were so close to dying but managed to barely make it through. Sadly, my demise came as a great anti-climax. In a confusion that only made sense to me after watching the video, I was killed by the other survivors. At least before I died, I managed to get a kill on one of the traitors… Shout of to BigSamHam, Acester, Beenow and kSleep (zharry in video) from me! I'm amazed and entrigued by how fast Snake went from being a good charismatic leader, who was even willing to sacrifice himself for his people, to being another kind of good charismatic leader, willing to sacrifice his people and seeing everything that moved as food.
51:20 LOL snake made me so mad but this moment was perfect. the transition from “update: here are my research findings” to “update: my life is over” & the bushies just awkwardly standing there … PERFECT man
i wanna see them play with a large tech mod that at some point of their progress will trigger a surpise... the suprise is scape & run parasites being able to get points, this is actually simple to do as the mod has a command that can stop them from gaining evolution points and also resume them gaining points, the command to resume it could be triggered with FTBquests which also allows quests to be hidden until completed, also it allows for quests to be triggered without the player having to press on a checkmark in their questbook
i cant believe ive watched this almost a year ago, it just felt like it was made recently. id enjoyed watching this vids, but whens the new video? we're waiting
we have had a lot of difficulties with TITHE. the story was insanely chaotic and the event not as clean as previous ones. we are working every day to get it out though but it definitely is delayed. thank you so much for your comment and i appreciate your support.
I can’t write an entire character study on a whim like some people in the comments,(really wish I could) but. While snakes character isn’t a likable character, though I really liked him, his character is very interesting. The way he developed throughout the challenge was really engaging, I’m definitely excited to see him in the next challenge!
I was really disappointed to see what looked like a great leader in snake, throw away all of his morals and just becoming another RDM'ing griefer at the end of the day, I'm not very excited to see him back on the next episode, and especially hope he doesn't get another position of power like he did, but knowing how these things go, he's likely to have a cult following and will start out kind only to just reveal his true player killing side again and slaughter innocent people again, I hate it when the bad guys win, and hope to see some good people who tried to do right be the last ones standing again like team Egg.
Why lol? He was a great leader up until it became apparent it would come down to the last man standing and he realized he had to be more ruthless. The alternative was them all starving to death or having to kill each other at the end anyway but with worse odds than with their ambush.
But he wasn't RDMing at all. RDM is random. He wasn't just randomly killing people for fun. He got infected with a disease that was sending him chat messages about going insane and craving human flesh. All he did was fully embrace that role playing and allow himself to become a villain/monster. I don't get why everyone seems to vilify the actual player when it seems so clear that he was playing a part as a character, and that it's probably not his true nature to just betray and kill people.
Snak3itis's roleplaying deserves more respect. He was just leading a peaceful society then got struck with insanity and a craving for human flesh and leaned hard into that character transformation. It really makes for such an engaging story and turn.
Honestly snake that was well deserved af. Extremely well thought out plays most of the time, and every decision was majorly beneficial to your team, while also securing your safety/victory, props
Yeah he perfectly alternated from being the best possible leader that United the nation and tried to stay neutral before sacrificing himself for his people. Once he realized how desperate everything was getting he realized the only way for him to survive was to become more ruthless and destroy everyone including his own teammates to survive. To be honest though I feel it definitely would have been more fitting if he got killed at the end but all in all it was a pretty well deserved win
Just came baxk here to say that your work is great, and that you should take your time to do things the best that you can with putting together the parts of the next event. Have a good day!
This video is so god damn unique and atmospheric, it gave me goosebumps at the end. nice job with the editing and audio. 15.7k subs? this needs to be higher, but i'm glad i'm here for it.
I really hope one day you do one of these with a mod that makes minecraft as realistic as possible but not to the point of annoyace. Things like -All the things in this video -NOrmal Monsters dont exist anymore, all animals are dangerous but also edible, even cows can kill you if you arent careful -Animals give more meat (like cows giving like 10 stakes or smth, depending on size of the animal) -Dying to exposure can happen more often (basic diseases) also, I think wendigos shouldnt be able to talk to keep stakes higher -and stuff like that
Man i have never cheered more for anything in my life than for Aussie and Snake, both absolute beasts in their respective fields and in my eyes the only players that deserve the win for their skill rather than luck. Ausie obviously an amazing fighter, first defending his friend and when circumstances forced him and indiscriminate killing machine, constantly picking alone players and I still dont know how he survived so long while fighting while not transforming due to eating human flesh, such a powerhouse that he forced other players to a negotiation due to their terrible losses in a 5v1 situation, trully a legend that represents physical might. Then Snake with a performance even more amazing in my eyes, even if less flashy than a good pvp performance, his social skills were peak in this challenge, not only capable of leading a nation even above the official king, not only leading so well that players left due to the lack of exitement, not only thinking ahead when starting transforming, but also an even more vicious killer than Ausie. Once he realizes that all the nation he wished to protect perished to infection his change of gears and thinking patter was astounding, quickly changing priorities while still trying to protect his group until he sees the truth of the challenge, with all the "moral" challenges present it wasnt far fetched to guess there would be a limit to the amount of winners of the event, different from the original feel of the event that pointed to a team as a winner, the second Snake realizes only individualls are gonna win he uses his talents in an even more vicious way than Ausie, after all how many kills he got with his schemes?, half the greenies, almost all of the cafe, and countless of his own side soldiers died in order to get him closer to a spot in the evacuation. And the most impressive thing is comparing his performance at the start middle and end, his capabilities are trully diverse and dangerous, when he tought a team could win he snatched leadership for himself because of his confidence on being a better leader (wich was basically true), managing to control players into good development while not pissing off the official king or other nations, the mix of politness but firmness in having his own way inside his territory are perfect for wining confronting developing teams events. Then after mass infection he lies and deceive people in the perfect way, attacking vulnerable groups and getting big dangerous ones out of the way, the lying in itslef is glorious, but the planning in wich group take on and wich to send to a fictional place is perfect for a group pvp event, he already proved his social skills can adapt to both civilization development groups, and moderate fighting force groups, wich both are very common event situations, this time his abilities are even better since the enviroment in itself is deadly and so he can not only gain advantage with his lies, but litterally kill people with them. And lastly the sheer act of managing to not be a target in the final fight for the 6 spots is nothing short of immpossible, he has made enemies EVERYWHERE, and what people dont realize is that you dont get out of that by talking, you need to improvise perfectly, whether he put the idea to allie against the greenies or he managed to blend in with the group that wanted that. both are things most would not be able to do, he probably had to quickly defuse little comments about killing him before that, not in big dramatic discussions but little natural responses that riled the other against the greenies or just make him unimportant, obviously this and the quick betrayal of 2 islanders are again a show on how his talents can adapt not only to civilizations, fighting groups, but even individual all vs all events, in wich getting alliances, betraying and still not becoming public enemies are ESSENTIAL to win.
I sincerely don't know how snake wasn't targeted at the 6 players mark. I mean he was just betraying and killing and lying to everyone, so I don't know how he got through. The most likely circumstance was that the other people don't know about his actions, because if I know a player who can betray me at any time possible, I won't be teaming with him, especially in such an environment, where only 6 people out of 12 are able to escape. He could be teaming up with the other guys and kill me instantly, so it's hard to think that other people know about his actions when they don't do shit about it.
@@noone-cz8tmyeah like he was easily the most interesting person there but in that situation he would have absolutely been the first person I killed lol it’s insane that they decided to not kill him
@@noone-cz8tm He wasn't really just betraying, killing, and lying to everyone. It was more that his entire character changed when he got infected, and suddenly he was willing to betray, kill, and lie to anyone that wasn't also an infected islander.
Man I really hated Snake, lol. Ever since the start the whole group revolved around him, idk how he got and continued to have that following. Everyone was still starving and dying, but he always did well. But what really crossed the line was attacking the cafe. Lying about the cords to an ally was bad enough, but bite the hand that was feeding everyone? Yeah... He really lived up to his name. Also the betrayal and the end... What a rotten little person. Aussie probably took the best decision at the end, but... I'm not sure Snake deserved to live. Akebe on the other hand was the real MVP. He didin't get involved with politics or war... he just built a cafe with his friend, and even at the end just wanted to help people, even those who betrayed him...
I watched this and then the previous challenge. I must say of the two I preferred this one, this experiment had interesting gimmicks but wasn’t too unfair to the players. Wish you luck on the next experiment. I wonder what gimmicks the next experiment (and future ones by extension) will have, if any. On that note, I hope all future experiments will have that little recap of the previous experiments (as well as the experiment presented in the video itself and the one after that), I personally liked that little addition.
Here's time lapse by me 1:48 - a peace 12:05 - the realization 19:20 - a time before the disaster struck 24:52 - the start of Chaos, insanity, and madness 29:24 - the starvation between you or the others 34:52 - the consequences for your actions of selfishness 46:08 - release of the beast 53:32 - the hope 58:32 - an action between self righteousness over selfishness to save others or to be save by others
It was interesting to see at the beginning the islanders with lots of food were the most peaceful out there while the nords were very violent, when winter set in the nords had plenty of food and were very peaceful, while the islanders went on a rampage killing people when they ran out of food

Respect to SeniorAussie man
He got revenge and I look forward to watching him in the next event.
honestly, as much as I hated the original nord regime for their lack of cooperation and unreasonable treatment towards the bushies... he was the payback the nords deserved.
I'd like to think that halfway back, he had the idea to drown Snake.

Grave did all he could for his people even sacrificing all his food in the end, what a true leader.
Bushies rocked. I get why people got riled about the vtuber and aussie, but the former one just seemed like a weasel to me, aussie was cool though.
Didn’t he also sacrifice himself for his team in the first experiment?
@@coreyyohm He was the villain. The fact that you hate him means he played the role well
Yes he was a weasel. That's the character he played.
Aussie, on the other hand, seemed to just be killing random people for no reason, which is one of the least fun kinds of people to be in a Minecraft event with.
fun fact: a cold snap is literally 'a sudden, brief spell of cold weather.' which really fits for how everybody reacted to the sudden coming of winter
No seriously
Prologue snake quickly befriends both factions and properly tackles the issue of hostility between the two
Also delegates roles for securing food
And keeps political relations on a standstill, completely neutral to both sides after communication was more or less out
He becomes infected, not immune since he isn't king, he still keeps peace
He's then willing to bait himself and take out the sole aggressor from the nords, who was on a blood hunt, which got everyone infected because it wasn't caught on earlier with the first guy (thought he got infected by lambchops)
After most of his clan was infected and he realized everyone was low on food, was when his brilliancy comes into play
Making best use of his political image, he cunningly whittles down the bushis with a bait coord, and plans a surprise hunt right under the nords noses
Only after failing to secure food from his clanmates who weren't willing to turn ofc (are they rly even clanmates then)
Then he wins the cafe, which was like a third of the nords' remaining power
He also successfully escapes death from an ambush by the bushis, who should be commended for survival of the trek but honestly attacked way too late
And after dust was settled and they were properly in power, despite being severely weakened, he went back to peaceful negotiations and "politically" securing the win
This is from a rogue, not even king, who was trapped and only directing for half the game, and on the faction waterlocked with arguably the weakest offensive power, no night vision no diamond gen,
He and his clan REALLY deserved that win, they were the most human like, not overly passive like the bushis or stupidly aggressive like the nords.
The Cafe people also probs coulda won but their mistake was monopolizing food and then giving up the monopoly for the sake of what, peace? In the season where every faction is on the brink of death from starvation, they could have secured the win easily if it wasn't for that showing
Taking advantage of that, if he hadn't I'd be pissed.

'The Bushies should've mined for iron and then make a composter and turn the leaves into bone meal... Yet, I think everyone forgot about composters. They could've also made their own tree farm if they collect a sapling from one of the leaves. Also, apples have a chance to drop from trees so they could shear the leaves off the tree before they take the wood so that they can then use the leaves for bone meal or to have a chance of getting more sapling and/or more apples.' - Chrome

the suprise is scape & run parasites being able to get points, this is actually simple to do as the mod has a command that can stop them from gaining evolution points and also resume them gaining points, the command to resume it could be triggered with FTBquests which also allows quests to be hidden until completed, also it allows for quests to be triggered without the player having to press on a checkmark in their questbook

I can't wait to see Aussie in the next event, his PvP skill was insane

17:05 wow,a Vtuber who has power?Damn, looks we failed as a society
Once he realizes that all the nation he wished to protect perished to infection his change of gears and thinking patter was astounding, quickly changing priorities while still trying to protect his group until he sees the truth of the challenge, with all the
"moral" challenges present it wasnt far fetched to guess there would be a limit to the amount of winners of the event, different from the original feel of the event that pointed to a team as a winner, the second Snake realizes only individualls are gonna win he uses his talents in an even more vicious way than Ausie, after all how many kills he got with his schemes?, half the greenies, almost all of the cafe, and countless of his own side soldiers died in order to get him closer to a spot in the evacuation.
