I think, scarlet wouldnt have thrown coral into the arena. I think, she would have done the same to her, as she did to hailstorm and put a spell on her. I also think, scarlet would have tried to negotiate with the seawings over corals life, instead of risking it in the arena. But otherwise, I really like this what if!
Probably turtle's arc would be a lot different, since gill would have time to apologie to turtle (about the seawing eggs) and tell him that snapper wasn't in the deep palace

OK BIG POINT GENETICS-WISE I FEEL HAS BEEN MISSED: So im 99% sude that animus magic in an x-linked trait. Im not gonna get into all of it because its a lot, but basically male dragons are twoce as likely to be animus because they only need one copy of the gene where femles need 2 (like colorblindnes irl). So in order for a female dragon to be animus, her father HAD to have been animus, her mother only needs one copy of the gene. So Coral was carrying the gene (thats how turtle was animus), but in order for Orca and Anemone to be animus, Gill ALSO had to have the gene, meaning he HAD to have been animus. So Gill may have been a secret animus this whole time, and either didnt know himself or just didnt say anything about it, or perhaps Orca found out and did some sort of magic-removing enchantment. Do dragons even have the XY/XX gene system? Because there’s another that might pose a problem for this theory, the ZW/ZZ gene system. It’s a gene system in birds and some reptiles, where females have ZW and males have ZZ. Meaning that chances of inheriting animus magic would be swapped among the genders, females would be more likely to inherit animus magic since they only need one copy of the gene if it’s Z-linked. Yet again, most animus born dragons in the series are male, so this could be proof that they have a XY/XX gene system.

I think it would have made more sense and would have been better if Gill had lived instead. Also here's some what ifs! Damn, I Adore this idea! So much so I almost wish it was the actual cannon. The only nitpick I can find is that if memory serves gill had been captured by scarlet while anemone was still in her egg. So whirlpool probably would’ve never been in play…. Other then maybe just a general tutor. Also while I’m not 100% sure wasn’t it blister that was heavily pushing anemones training? I heavily doubt she would let herself get pushed out of anemones life. That aside I can easily image a book or two where the DoD slowly learn the full story of the seawings. A queen only over two(ish) with a king regent trying his best to run the kingdom and protect his daughter from the predatory practices of the courts. Everyone trying whatever they can to influence the young queen. Or when tsunami comes into play how by a technicality she would be queen… technically. And assuming everything else is the same she probably would be trying just as hard as gill to hide the fact she killed coral in a duel. Hmm with coral out of the picture. Would gill actually even be pushing for a annual animus testing? I imagine it would still happen but I could see it becoming less of a priority, maybe.

I think it’s interesting that 2 contenders to the throne agree to basically hand over the throne to 1, with the entire thing just a great show for everyone else. I do wonder if perhaps this might’ve happened in some form or another in actual Pyrrhian or Pantalan history. Perhaps between queens and their daughters who had especially close relationships or where the Queen is actually looking to retire but had to satisfy a more traditionalist crowd.
The fact that you tell us to have good/blessed/great/wonderful days is really nice because I would wake up at like, 4, 5, or 6 am and just watch your videos until the sun comes up and I usually do have a good day 💚💙💛 What-if Ideas: What if Arctic had Darkstalker's animus powers? What if Cyprus was in arc 3? (Id recommend this special one as season 3 final) What if Darkstalker was never trapped in the mountain?(Fun fact! You could try: “What if Thorn was the one who was bitten by the Dragon Bite Viper instead of Clay?” Because in Book 5,Thorn says that she couldn't make it in time to save Sunny and Starflight from it,but what if she DID make it in time? Peril wouldn't really care much for Thorn,so maybe she wouldn't save Thorn from the bite,what would happen then?
Peril might not have tried to save thorn, but if she wanted to, she couldn’t, since she would burn her till she died. So, i guess there would just be no more thorn. Maybe sunny would have been queen, probably not though.

I have an idea for a ‘what if’ scenario I’m actually really interested in! What if Clearsight had mated with the LeafWing ancestors instead, and created a new tribe of night/leaf dragons instead of hivewings? And instead of leafwings being nearly wiped out in the tree wars, it was the beetlewings (who would still be around) instead who went into hiding? Maybe the night/leaf dragons could be mushroom themed, and the alternate Queen wasp for this world could control dragons with spores?

Therefore the dragons would have no reason to suddenly start burning scavenger kingdoms and becoming the top predators from the scorching.

You see how they murdered Oasis, and if they shared the top of the food chain with the dragons, they would over time want more power, as you see IRL. The Scorching would probably happen in any timeline, it would just be more gruesome and later on.

This seems like an interesting concept (I haven’t watched the video yet). I assume that Coral would have to hide or lie about who she really was to get into the arena, or she didn’t and Scarlet wanted to put her in the arena anyways, which seems very in character for her.

Damn, I Adore this idea! So much so I almost wish it was the actual cannon. The only nitpick I can find is that if memory serves gill had been captured by scarlet while anemone was still in her egg. So whirlpool probably would’ve never been in play…. Other then maybe just a general tutor. Also while I’m not 100% sure wasn’t it blister that was heavily pushing anemones training? I heavily doubt she would let herself get pushed out of anemones life.
That aside I can easily image a book or two where the DoD slowly learn the full story of the seawings. A queen only over two(ish) with a king regent trying his best to run the kingdom and protect his daughter from the predatory practices of the courts. Everyone trying whatever they can to influence the young queen.
Or when tsunami comes into play how by a technicality she would be queen… technically. And assuming everything else is the same she probably would be trying just as hard as gill to hide the fact she killed coral in a duel.
Hmm with coral out of the picture. Would gill actually even be pushing for a annual animus testing? I imagine it would still happen but I could see it becoming less of a priority, maybe.

I think it’s interesting that 2 contenders to the throne agree to basically hand over the throne to 1, with the entire thing just a great show for everyone else.
I do wonder if perhaps this might’ve happened in some form or another in actual Pyrrhian or Pantalan history. Perhaps between queens and their daughters who had especially close relationships or where the Queen is actually looking to retire but had to satisfy a more traditionalist crowd.
The fact that you tell us to have good/blessed/great/wonderful days is really nice because I would wake up at like, 4, 5, or 6 am and just watch your videos until the sun comes up and I usually do have a good day 💚💙💛

You could try: “What if Thorn was the one who was bitten by the Dragon Bite Viper instead of Clay?” Because in Book 5,Thorn says that she couldn't make it in time to save Sunny and Starflight from it,but what if she DID make it in time? Peril wouldn't really care much for Thorn,so maybe she wouldn't save Thorn from the bite,what would happen then?
Peril might not have tried to save thorn, but if she wanted to, she couldn’t, since she would burn her till she died. So, i guess there would just be no more thorn. Maybe sunny would have been queen, probably not though.
I like this much better! Can you do a what if type of thing for if all the tribes merged together to create one big tribe? Its a big project but it would be cool!

I have an idea for a ‘what if’ scenario I’m actually really interested in!
What if Clearsight had mated with the LeafWing ancestors instead, and created a new tribe of night/leaf dragons instead of hivewings? And instead of leafwings being nearly wiped out in the tree wars, it was the beetlewings (who would still be around) instead who went into hiding?
Maybe the night/leaf dragons could be mushroom themed, and the alternate Queen wasp for this world could control dragons with spores?

@@Ivybug61no? Dragons still existed and their tribes; if the scorching didn’t happen it’d just mean that cottonmouth and other humans decided to not steal dragon eggs. Therefore the dragons would have no reason to suddenly start burning scavenger kingdoms and becoming the top predators from the scorching.
@@Sporemaee yes, but ambitious scavengers would definitely become a problem. You see how they murdered Oasis, and if they shared the top of the food chain with the dragons, they would over time want more power, as you see IRL. The Scorching would probably happen in any timeline, it would just be more gruesome and later on.
