Decent video, BUT install these parts in reverse order of this video. Start mods from the rear (exhaust) forward. If you start by taking in all kinds of extra air, there's nowhere for it to go. Stock engines are already choked off by stock exhaust. Ya gotta open up the exhaust BEFORE giving your engine more air. Like they say, an engine is basically an air pump. Start from the rear and make your way forward.
Plenum spacer 3.5 intake 75mm throttle body Motordyne art pipes Motordyne exhaust Headers 🤷🏻♂️ Rev up oil pump (for non rev ups) 272 cams E-85 300+ to the wheels (depends on tuner)
Oil pump and cams are a bitch to install and prob not worth IMO (at my budget). I don’t know wtf is an art pipe. But I really like everything else u listed.
I did headers and it made my De faster then I out down pipe and it was slower so back on the cats and it works great ,but I have shorty headers that fit with the cats
I decided I'm just gonna supercharged my DE when I get the money instead of just trying to get power NA. I might throw a 75mm tb and mrev lower plenum and a plenum spacer but other than that it has wheels and a shift kit in the 5at.
Great Video for some really easy cost-effective mods and honest opinions. So, if we do the 5/16 spacer, airbox upgrade, and Y-pipe mods that you have recommended we are totally sweet without a tune and get noticeable gains. But if we throw in the better flowing 370z stock headers on top of all that recipe, will we still benefit without the tune? Or are we pushing it too far? Or are we starting to loss power?
Would u recommend wheels or exhaust first? I've got the stock exhaust and stock 17 inch rims for my 05 g35 and I wanna change them both but I don't have the funds for both rn. I want a little bit of performance and a little bit of looks so I'm not sure what to do first.

Probably a dumb question, but how many/which in particular of these parts can I actually install before the ecu has a stroke and I have to tune? I know you may have answered it somewhere in the video, but I’m currently at work and couldn’t pay full attention 😅
McKinnonWolf do the z1 spacer and quality intake. Maybe a y-pipe and exhaust. It will start getting slower are that without a tune. That about maxes what the stock ecu can compensate for.
perucho520 swapping to a 3.3 rear diff will help gas mileage. If you have an auto z or g it came with a 3.3 rearend. If your car is a 6 spd model swap the 3.3 rear into the car. This will increase gas mileage.
Not everyone has the money for a turbo setup. So it’s good to get the info to them. My Z is staying all motor with bolt ons. My G35 on the other hand has been supercharged.
So if you have a 04 350z and get the plenum spacer, there wouldnt be any benefit to getting the mrev lower plenum for the 04? I'm trying to get a little na power for the meantime while I save for the Vortech and just boost it
Yo bro please help I’m throwing the z1 spacer in (05 de) and was gonna do mrev2 while I did it but as you mentioned I would much rather get the 04 lower plenum but I’m not sure of the part number also online I see 4 characters like 05a3 or 02bg and stuff before same looking 04 plenum set ups?? Is there a difference or? Any help much appreciated
tvtv tvtv same engine setups. I’ve got a G,Z, and FX. Sometimes I just generalizes the statements for all platforms. Thanks. Definitely fun cars to mod.
FAST INTENT FILMS yup fun cars I have one my self barely got it but looking into modding it in the future half of these mods I didn’t know of I came from a bmw 335 so this is pretty different
Not true. The car runs leaner because of the new breather mods. After the bigger throttle body and headers are installed on this car you have to get a tune or you can potentially mess your engine up and you’re engine isn’t using the correct amount of gas to air ratio. Point of the story, running lean make car go boom.
dude finally a video with knowledge, straight to the point instead of piddling around

correct. however if you turbo make sure theres suitable back pressure

Motordyne_350z how’s the gas mileage kid
slap some tomei springs, gtr stock injectors, and a better fuel pump while youre in there 👍🏻👍🏻
Any good flowing single exit is good too

Just bought my lady a g35, thanks for the info. We will be posting the build on the channel.
Thanks been needing this advice for my 06 g35x. I was wondering about clearance issues
You need the cats, the sensor fixes how it runs ,if you take it off it runs worse ,but tune will change it or out cats back on
I did headers and it made my De faster then I out down pipe and it was slower so back on the cats and it works great ,but I have shorty headers that fit with the cats

aMcSpank I’ve installed the Stillen supercharger on my G35 now. Not a bad choice. I’ll have a video out soon.
Just want my hr to have 400

Mitchell Ferre “I swear officer I did not know that Nos tank was there when I bought the car.”
I would say 5/16 spacer, any intake of your choice just not a cheap one like the JWT Oooo Charger, and upgraded throttle body then do a tune

Exhaust
Exhaust for sure, you’ll have more fun with the car, and you can always get wheels later
Will I lose any power if I slap on a plenum spacer and mrev2 plenum??on a rev up engine .
can you explain why the z loses power after all the bolt ons?
When you increase the airflow, it leans out the fuel mixture. Tuning it increases the fuel mixture back to the proper balance.

Motordyne makes a bigger plenum does that replace the spacer or do you do both?
are the 370z headers similair to the 350zHR headers?
TheRiceguy78 they make no difference at all other than the price
What is the benifits of just doing a plemum spacer. I heard the cylinder 1 and 2 dont get good airflow ?
The plenum spacer helps gets the proper airflow to the front cylinders. The stock plenum lacked the space up front.
Do you know what year range Altima for the throttle body? And for the headers?
Throttle body is 161199N00A or a hitachi number ETB0021. For a 2009 maxima
I put on the pop charger and it seems too take a lot more too get it going going up the gears when your foot is down
Nice car, what are the tire sizes all around? and how many inches did you lower your car?
Probably a dumb question, but how many/which in particular of these parts can I actually install before the ecu has a stroke and I have to tune? I know you may have answered it somewhere in the video, but I’m currently at work and couldn’t pay full attention 😅

Love the information, I’m willing to do tune and everything but I’m looking for a better mpg rather than hp. What’s your tips bro ?
perucho520 swapping to a 3.3 rear diff will help gas mileage. If you have an auto z or g it came with a 3.3 rearend. If your car is a 6 spd model swap the 3.3 rear into the car. This will increase gas mileage.
Buy a different car lol your fuel is dirt cheap compared to here in the UK
FAST INTENT FILMS thanks for the info
I took you advice bro
The only thing you need to do to make the car faster is install a turbo and get a tune. Your never going to make big power with a few bolt ons
I'm trying to get a little na power for the meantime while I save for the Vortech and just boost it
MRev lower plenum work do anything on your 04. Or minor at beast.
Do the plenum spacer and call it a day.
Same with hr phlebum spacers?
Hr doesn't suffer from the oil consumption hence the bulge in the hood it has a taller block
Yo bro please help I’m throwing the z1 spacer in (05 de) and was gonna do mrev2 while I did it but as you mentioned I would much rather get the 04 lower plenum but I’m not sure of the part number also online I see 4 characters like 05a3 or 02bg and stuff before same looking 04 plenum set ups?? noahrr593 just get an 03-04 non-rev up lower plenum, and z1 spacer,. So any 03-04 z or g or any Fx35 which are all non rev up vq35de.
FAST INTENT FILMS good lookin out brotha very well put together video keep it up
What's the difference between 350z hr headers and 370z ..?
mmm good question idk lol
They won’t fit right if ur thinking of buying it don’t
Good question. lol
They will fit. I’ve bought and installed 370z headers on a 350z Vq35de. You have to move two studs on the block and use 370z test pipes or cats.
350z hr headers and 370z headers are virtually the same. 350z de headers are different bolt patterns at the cat.
My fav mod is a k24 swap :P
Chris Hansen no hate here. I got an s2000 too.
Is it more powerful than the VQ35?
Would you still reccomend using a 5/16 spacer with the kinetix v+ plenum?
Based_Savage no, if you have the kinetix plenum no need for spacer
Why not start with a c6 vette do a few simple bolt ons a tune and be done with it ? EZ 200+ more hp. Weighs about the same and handles as well.
Personal preference. I’ll go GTR if I want real performance.
@@450r350x nothing wrong with that. 350z is a cool car. I want bang for the buck ! Gtr is a whole different price point.

If the car is slower after installing the aftermarket parts it's simple. You bought cheap parts. The parts on your car are cheap.
Not true. The car runs leaner because of the new breather mods.
