We are so obsessed with competing against each other (instead of working together) that we’re even pitting the panellists against each other on who the smartest is. These gentlemen are not competing but blessing us with thoughts from different viewpoints.
Take in the knowledge without creating an unnecessary competition.

Penuel is a machine… when you give him a platform to speak over the dome, he just flows with a lot of thought-provoking and conversation-sparking jams. Sizwe, on the other hand, is more like a perfectionist… he is the type that doesn’t want to make mistakes. He must be prepared so that he doesn’t say things that are factually incorrect. Jamie, on the other hand, is a great thinker, but niche-specific and more of a background brain guy, yet well-articulate.

I love how differently these guys present themselves and how different their approach is to elaborating and explaining topics. They are all smart and I personally enjoyed Sizwe because he makes one think. It was so poetic, literally the way broke down his analogy about democracy. I wish people could stop comparing these gents and instead give them credit for their view points.

At first, I thought I was the next Nasty C of this country, then I started feeling like nha, am more of an AKA but with a Ricky's typo heart, but a Sobukwe in how I use loneliness as a learning superpower with this brain I got.
I been in India for a whole year, I basically became a lil bit like the true Bangalore Indian in terms of simplicity, unconditional love for pain and gain, foe and friend. FOE AND FRIEND. AM NOW CLEAR ON THAT AS MADIBA WAS (love him or not, spiritually we are one, Mandela was right about this part, we need each other to achieve the state of spiritual freedom we need to achieve before we transition to the next plane of existance since death was never a real life concept (Energy is conserved that way, and we are nothing more than vibrations).
Very thought provoking points from all 3 gents..I guess it’s safe to say keep these gents safe and far away from the toppies in government - youth leadership has hope if we keep these gents far from the tainted system and our current leadership.

I thought it was just me, how sad that something so thought provoking is not clear to hear. It feels as though this message should be broadcasted from the mountaintop for all South Africans to hear.
Jamie is just on another level..... Penuel is a guy who speaks whatever come to mouth be it democracy and potatoes. Controversial and flamboyant.

Man, Penuel is an ambassador for Orania, Afrikaners and Afriforum. There is nothing wrong with this. But it is very rare that positive traits about Africans are highlighted. Those groups will hardly find positive traits about Africans and shine a light on them.
It’s got to a point where Penuel cannot string a point without referencing these groups. Some times in contrast bashing Africans.
And thats why the enemy loves him..
It's not about them and positive traits about Africans. It's us who always have a lot to say whether its about Orania , Afrikaaners and Afriforum. What Penuel is saying 1 we are not united as the majority, 2 We don't want to learn from each other, 3 We should be supporting one another as blacks, 4 We can learn something from Orania community about the principle of self reliance, instead of waiting for useless government.

I used to think Penuel was smart kanti he's just LOUD and talks a lot and a whole lot of nothing at that. Only thing he knows is attacking with no proper scientific analysis or probable solution.
Jamie on the other hand, what a brain and what a gent! You know you going to learn something new everytime he opens his mouth.
Sizwe - obviously an intellect and his answers may somewhat be philosophical and sophisticated and fly over some people; whereas Jamie breaks it down and yet still retains the intellectual aspect of it.

Forget it! there is nothing new and or exciting from this, it all recycled materials.
It is difficult, l listen to all 3 smart guys twice, The elephant in the room in Southafrica's quest for democracy is at 30%, based on democracy is for the people and by the people being 100%. Military government is 5%. Compulsory one party government 51% and Representative and accountable to the people directly and locally Government with all politicians elected directly and locally (1ward for municipal level or a combination of 2 or more wards for National and Provincial Parliament. So 400 members of Parliament all not elected by the people is 30% democratic, and, only 50% ward councillours elected by the people and the other 50% not elected directly by the people is 15% democracy. That is why we do not hear our members of Parliament and councillours debating to assist our voting interest and power; instead we hear radio talkshow hosts, Courts individual callers and on lighter note lately the Podcast party and me, and we are not going to be voted on the 29 May 2024. We have a non- democratic constitution since 1994.

Once they start owning and earning and realize how Hard it is to accumulate they'll be less willing to give to the state
I agree with Pen - you should have to prove a level of competency in order to be allowed to vote and secondly (imho) South Africa should never have been made into a “one man one vote” system. South Africa should be a federal system.
Penuel dominated as expected, Jamie was surprisely articulate and held his own but Sizwe was overshadowed and lacked substance (I can't remember a single point he made, maybe he is better off doing the interviewing)

Jamie is the most potent young political analyst in this country I do however disagree with his description of democracy in that the voting population of the country exercises its democratic will to vote for whoever they decide to vote for. In that way the will of the people who took the time to vote is therefore given expression. His analogy undermines this exercise simply because the majority of the voters don't vote out the ANC. It's not the ANCs fault, the opposition has the responsibility to convince the electorate to vote otherwise. It's really not the duty of the ANC to encourage voters to vote for its competition because the dominance he speaks of is not a product of some natural phenomena, it's a product of a democratic process called voting. Let us not be emotional.

Sizwe is brilliant when he’s scripted. When he comes off the dome, he just sounds off. When you want to hear how brilliant he is, let him in on what you’re going to talk about so that he prepares.
Penuel and Jamie are seasoned trolls (for lack of a better word). They’re consistently engaging in Twitter arguments and consistently talking on Twitter and TH-cam without any script. Whatever you throw at them, they’re always ready to talk.
Panuel is so arrogant and almost to a level of undermining people's agency. Voting is not a very straight forward thing in a country like SA with no alternative political parties. He speak just like most politicians who somehow think the people owe them their votes. just because the ANC has messed up. He is terrible and sees himself as some intellectual superior being to us the peasant on the ground whom should be commanded and bulldoze about our choices.

My problem with democracy and donors is that donors want to silence a specific voice. All the big donors don't donate to EFF or similar voices. The question becomes, are we saying the issues that are raised by EFF and similar parties don't matter? Openhiemers, Rupert and the rest just suffocate those issues with money. Rise Mzansi is funded like it is in the top two.
Maybe funders must support democracy by donating to IEC only and level the ground.
Our donors are captures, they are not donors and they are setting us back.

As for me, the only alternative is EFF. DA is rasist and ANC is bankrupt on many facets of live, e.g. morality; ideologically , and morale to build the nation. Ideologically EFF is on the right track, Penuell's mind is something i would appreciate in EFF's think tank.
As an African, EFF communicates what SA needs.

@tessfourie4323 He is one person. The DA is invested in keeping the status quo. Yes, they will improve the economy as they did in the WC but economic power remains in the hands of white people.

The democracy question was not answered. Jamie just explained what he thinks is going on at these SADC countries. Not impressed at all.
Jamie was trying to explain that Democracy is a form of government in which the people elect their leaders. However, its ideal implementation often falls short due to various challenges. For instance, in several (SADC) countries like Namibia and Zimbabwe, the concept of democracy exists, but the reality is more complex. Elections in these nations are sometimes manipulated or flawed. In South Africa, the ANC (African National Congress) remains in power partly due to the influence of rural votes and majority of the eligible voters don't vote. If only working individuals who pay taxes were allowed to vote, the ANC might not hold the same level of authority.
