  • If you like airguns, air rifles, pellet guns, break-barrel airguns, air pistols, and PCP air rifles then this German airgun factory tour video is for you!!
In this video review, we tour the Diana Airguns air rifle, PCP, and pellet gun factory in Enze, Germany (formerly RWS Diana break barrel air rifles). This airgun, pellet rifle, and air pistol manufacturing facility (factory) is brand new & state of the art... and this video review covers the manufacturing of the world-famous Diana 34 EMS Classic, the Diana 350 Magnum Premium, the Diana Panther 350, the Diana Two-Fifty, the Diana Two-Forty, the Diana Two-Sixty, the Diana Twenty-One FBB, the Diana Eleven, and the Diana air pistol models, Diana LP8 Magnum and Diana P-Five. Diana Airguns, Germany is also well known for making the Diana 460 Magnum Underlever airgun/pellet rifle, the just as popular Diana 54 Air King Pro Laminated, the Diana 54 Air King Pro, and the Diana 48 side lever air rifle. The professional grade Diana 30 neo and Diana Oktoberfestgewehr, designed for Carnival & Fair prize shooting, are also manufactured at Diana/GSG's new airgun & firearms manufacturing facility in Enze, Germany... which can be toured in detail in this video review.
Diana Airguns also manufactures regulated PCP air rifles such as the brand NEW & modular (and made in Germany) XR200 PCP airgun/air rifle. The new XR200 regulated PCP airgun is currently available in OD Green and "Premium," which is an Alderwood offering. All Diana XR200 PCP air rifles are also manufactured in the brand-new Diana/German Sport Guns (GSG) facility in Enze, Germany... which can be toured in great detail in this video review! The Diana Bandit air pistol, Diana Stormrider PCP airgun, and Diana Mauser K98 replica PCP air rifle are not made in Germany, but they can be viewed in this Diana Airguns factory tour video. You may also know the Diana Airguns names of Diana Airbug, Diana Chaser, Diana Chaser Rifle Set, Diana Trailscout Wood, Diana Trailscout, Diana R-22 Classic, and Diana R-22 Carbon. Back in the early 60's I was stationed in Germany, and being on the rifle and pistol team, I also shot airgun at some of the Rod and Gun clubs. I bought a Diana air pistol to compete with and it was fantastic, often putting one pellet on top of another. It came with several different front and rear sights. I wish I still had it.

I am a German imigrant to Canada and one of the things I dearly miss is the highly organized workplaces such as the Diana/GSG factory. Workplaces and employees have a laxed attitude in this country (Canada) and have a ' that's good enough ' attitude .

As a manufacturing guy (i.e. "factory rat"), it appears that this facility is very well organized and maintained. In my (decades long) experience, this is a reflection of good management and training, among other things. From a lean manufacturing perspective, it would be interesting to study the value stream flow and other lean production factors.
One of the terms that they are using early on in this video is "quality control" when, in fact, what they are actually talking about is "quality assurance"...big difference. I like how transparent the company representative is which is a reflection of how confident he is in how well this factory is being run. Also, the fact that a company, such as, Sig Sauer has chosen Diana to be one of their reps speaks volumes for their reputation and commitment to excellence.

It is certainly an honor to be able to visit a weapons factory. Fortunately, we can follow that mouth watering on our screen. The competent sales manager will have noticed through this channel that you don't just give "out of the box" reviews, weeks spent on it, supported by results on paper. The man could answer your barrage of questions well, even fluently in English. Your SPA question didn't even make him waver. Wonder how many people work in the factory? My only question that was not answered. Think and hope that you will get your hands on the XR 200. I took my first step into the pcp world with the Stormrider Gen2. Diana and any brand should no longer be allowed to market any type of PCP unregulated. Perhaps the engineer is in the "dark room" in "ze vault" designing an airrifle with a traditional spring or gas spring, in combination with a rotating magazine and under or sidelever. Wouldn't that be exclusive? Furthermore, I can only confirm that you chose the date well with a "Schutzenfest". Beforehand I advised to plan this during the "Oktoberfest". Your lovely wife would have amused herself even more with the thigh-slapping men in "lederhosen" and you yourself could "visually" enjoy the "wunderschöne frauen" with luscious boobs.

I am looking forward to your follow-up videos concentrating on their new pcp and also when you get one for testing at home, the price point would appear to be similar to offerings from the likes of BSA and FX so it will have some strong competition.

Wow! Good point about the same personnel assembling air guns are also assembling firearms. Focused in on paramount details, resulting in much more finished product.
Love where they are going, with one exception. Although the performance side is crazy heavy with enthusiasts, there is an mostly overlooked market for airguns that are self- contained, much like Seneca Aspen. But, the self reliant market wants a product that is compact, rugged, reliable, on board power plant energy source, user maintenance friendly, with the energy for at least small game - medium even better. Also with many add-on choices. The tech is there. I believe Seneca’s butterfly pump is maybe the key to making this a reality. Cheers and thanks a bunch.

when I was about ten I had a Dianna .22 break barrel rifle, it was about the same length as me and cocking it was a struggle, that rifle was so powerful it would crack house bricks and burry the slug so deep into breeze blocks you couldn't see them, go straight through sold oak doors from 25 yards, it had been up powered with a new spring and seals and a spring topper (that what we called them, they were thick rubber bungs that put the spring under more pressure). I always remember the quality of the metal, blue and smooth as silk, it looked like it had been varnished the metal was so deep blue and smooth, and had a great wooden stock as well, that and my GAT were the first air guns I had, I used to shoot knitting needles out the rifle and they were dangerous, they would bury so deep into telegraph poles it was impossible to get them out,

Imagine how much cheaper the end product could be without all the red tape! It's a worldwide phenomenon which disgusts me especially when one has to compete with the Eastern Countries. Imagine how much safer the world would be without all the bureaucrats ruining everything.

An under lever system, gas-ram riffle is a missing piece in the air rifle world. I believe the only company that has addressed this need is Hatsan. Diana, please, address this need in the market. At the same time creating a recoil system similar to your side levers rifles in a gas ram, under lever, recoil reduced riffle.

great video Steve, factory is very clean and well organized, those folk doing pistol assembly are clearly very skilled, the speed and precision is amazing....i was quite surprised at the number of apparent air rifle springier / gas piston dry fires.....ouch.

Diana is not dependent on "the grid." By far the most important aspect of this company and the products they sell.

I remember Diana from my childhood. BSA and Webley being the preferred air guns at that time, but the Diana was cheaper and for many their first gun. I had a Diana Model 2 GAT in.177 with wooden grip.Later a Model 5 break action in .22 I think

The Diana airguns that you remember were the Millard Brothers (Milbro) Dianas. These were copied from original German Diana designs but, sadly, the build quality was somewhat variable and Dianas were not highly regarded.
When German airguns began to take over the UK market, the Diana company did not want their guns to suffer from the reputation of the Milbro products and for a while they used the "Original" name in the UK.
Webley and BSA were also guilty of indifferent quality control at this time and they lost a lot of sales to the German manufacturers. Thankfully they were given a much needed kick up the backside and their current products are well made.

@@oldfashioned8602 I remember it was rather well made, not like some later ones with metal stampings.

@@billballbuster7186 Milbro bought their machinery from Diana when German companies were forbidden to make arms. They also acquired the rights to the Diana name. Early Milbros were well made but by the 1970s they were no longer worthy of the Diana name. Webley and BSA were hardly any better at the time but they still had a good reputation. This may remind you of the British motorcycle industry.

Beautiful kit. Had the chance to buy a virtually new 350 Magnum once BUT too many projects on the go. I will definitely have to get myself one (or possibly a Model 54 Air King). The stock and iron sights were superb. Big thing here in NZ is that Mr Young is the only dedicated airgun retailer and he is up in Auckland. I might have to go up there again, for the first time in 29 years🙁!

Hi Michael, Have a look for NIOA New Zealand they will also handle all DIANA airguns in the future 😊

    • @michaelguerin56
      @michaelguerin56 ปีที่แล้ว

@@germansportguns The retail aspect is the thing. Diana air gun supply is not and never has been an issue. The issue, is that we have plenty of (essentially) fishing shops, operating under the chain ‘Hunting & Fishing’; and apart from that, we have dedicated gun shops that concentrate on ‘bang sticks’ with a few air rifles/guns on the side. Young’s Airguns is the only dedicated ‘main street’ retailer of air guns/rifles in New Zealand. Auckland is a bit of a pain to navigate but it is time that I went back for another visit, both for shopping and to see family. Have a good weekend.
