The spoiler alert, another video like this coming soon, Tim made the jump too was the best part of this video hahaha! You've both taught tons of people how to legitimately bass fish no charge to us at all. You guys earned it!!!
And to think, back in the seventies and eighties I fished from an aluminum boat with a 9.9 HP Evinrude and 28 lb trolling motor. Absolutely zero electronics and we caught tons of bass, crappie, catfish, white bass etc... skill and experience coupled with patience and finesse will out fish any 100,000 dollar set up any day of the year. I'm 60 now and I still have a bass tracker aluminum boat with a 40 HP mercury and I catch tons of fish with no electronics.
What a ride it has been watching you guys grow into the who you are today. Teaching us so much more about fishing and everything that surrounds it from tackle to all the way to boats. You have been extremely blessed and you are continually sharing those blessings with us. Please keep up the hard work because appreciate every second of it all.
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS annd thank you for touring me through your new skeeter. Your explanations throughout the years have been so detailed yet simplified that i could listen to you read on Audible, book after book after book. Ive honestly learned so many tactics bc of how well you explained it to me/us.
Cool rig, happy to hear the Champion is still around. Looking forward to seeing how you restore the Champion. You are a really good guy. Glad you were able to build your dream rig! That is awesome looking rig! Looking forward to Tim's boat reveal.
Man that is a nice rig that you had made for your skill set of fishing, very organized to make things so much easier to get too , I’m sure you couldn’t be more excited, congratulations on that Rig ,can’t wait to see you and Tim fish out of it. We all thank yow for your time and the content you two put out for us ,we appreciate everything yow share with us ,so bless yow and be safe.
Congrats on an awesome whip of a bass boat! I would love a bass boat but not in the cards in this point in my family life. HAHA An Aluminum Fish and Ski boat rigged like a bass boat is my deal for now. Can't wait to see Tim's video next! Congrats again.
Congratulations. I love that you explain that how you started out and have moved up one step at a time and now have THE boat of your dreams. Love seeing you guys succeed because you have done so much for so many other people you deserve it.
Congrats! I just picked up a '22 FXR 20 and am beyond happy with it! Hope to run across you guys out here in TN sometime! Keep sharing your passion with us, a win-win we got going here!
That was excellent information that really explained why you did it that way. I've been saying for a few years I was contemplating a new boat but I'm 72 years old. We will see. Congratulations.
I know exactly why you love that Yamaha! I bought a 2003 Yamaha HPDI 175hp and I can’t think of any problem from day one. If I was going to buy a new motor it’s obvious what I would get. Great looking ride you have! Oh and by the way my home lake is Chickamauga as well.
Congrats on the new boat! So much critical info in this video that people never think about...its awesome. Nice job Matt, great video...when you're ready to offload that champion... LMK, I'm about to be your down the road neighbor, (just closed on a house in Soddy-Daisy) you can still run it when you need the fix😁
I went with the same this year. FXR21 Apex. I also went hummingbird for the first time. I just got it back from the shop as we finished rigging it up custom for me, and now im filling it with tackle. I also kept my Z18 Pro for smaller water bodies and for my son to use. We both compete, so we both need a boat). Fished out of it yesterday and it was glorious. My first ever Yamaha though (250SHO). I hope it’s as good as you claim Also running 3 12v200AH Dakota’s in series and a separate 12v200ah. But when im on the road, I always take a gas/propane generator to make sure I can keep everything topped up, but I don’t ever want to worry about power problems when im fishing a tournament. I have two extra major invitational events (one provincial which I won last year, the other National, which I won invitation to with my provincial win last year. There was no way my z18 would be sufficient to compete at the top level on Lake Simcoe in July, and let’s face it, we all want that dream boat, so I bought it. And damn im excited. First tournament is the first weekend of May, and ill be pre fishing until that Thursday at 1pm when we need to be off the water. Last year I won two events and AoY in the provincial league, but lost the provincial championship (3rd). This year I want to win at least two more (of 5), AOY, the provincial championship, a top 15 at the Canadian Classic, and top 10 in the CSFL. I have the time and money to do it, and I will work my ass off for it. Hell, I made 3 trips to Simcoe already, with 3 more planned before the tournament in July. That’s my most important goal, the Classic. Like everyone, im going there to win, but my stqted goal is top 10. That gets me an invite to next year’s event. I couldn’t take the MLF Canada invitation I won this year because it’s my son’s final year of school, and i would have had to miss his graduation and other events for a fishing tournament. But next year my son is heading to the USA to fish the opens. We’ll fund it with the money we put away for his education. Though he still had to buy the truck to pull the boat I gave him, and he did, worked 7 years and saved every penny. He has the talent and drive, I want him to have his shot. Long story long, I’m damn glad that at 22 when I got home from the army, I didn’t “do the right thing” and take the “stable” job ar the lead refinery to support my son. Instead I bought a fishing boat and started a charter and guiding business. Invested well and grew the business organically. Im booked a year ahead, have 27 employees and 10 boats, including two bluefin tuna licenses, a fly fishing cabin and water lease on the best Atlantic Salmon river in North America, and 3 CONSTANTLY running Striper charters. I don’t even work anymore, just manage from afar. I trained every employee myself before moving them to boats when they were ready, and paying them very well ensures loyalty. Makes them realize they are important to my business. All I need to do is enjoy the rest of my life while always trying to soak in knowledge from guys like you, and the many professionals I’ve met over 20 years in the business. I am truly blessed. I worked hard and was rewarded for that work tenfold. Don’t know why I rambled so long and so off topic, but thank you for everything you do. My whole company watches your videos in the warehouse when we’re doing cleaning and maintenance on the trucks/boats/gear. You’re one of the few whom we play on a projector over our main floor every time a video drops. People enjoy the job much more with your enthusiasm to entertain them.
Nice rig !! Huge Yamaha man here as well. I have a 2002 Ranger with a 2002 Yamaha 2 stroke (Ox66 VMAX200 3L). Boat garage kept all these years. With routine / std maintenance it runs like new 22 years later.
The field of view from the pilots seat is critical, watching the elite series tour I’m shocked at the limited view those guys have. Love your boat, I ran Skeeter for 12 years and before that Cajun. They are incredible rigs..
I love your boat. I own a 2023 ZXR21 and I have used your tips on storage and the tips are fantastic (yes spinner bait bag and breeze bags). I have been wanting to add Target Lock and 360 but I just haven't pull the trigger yet but to see your set up is really impressive. Congrats on the boat and I can't wait to see the new videos TB will be dropping.
Omg this boat is amazing!!!!!!!!🎉 This is what I want from myself 🥰 my wife always tells me it isn't necessary..... But you guys know she doesn't understand how anglers view 🎣 fishing and what it means to go to the fish. In contrast to fishing and hoping fish are were we are.. lol 😂😆.. YOU looking good MAT!!!!
Awesome rig. Glad you mentioned the importance of the jack plate,I honestly feel they should be standard equipment on all bass boats, would never run one without it.
Matt get that piece from amped marine that fits in your bilge it hangs on the lip. I just put one in my boat. I was able to take my tools, my fire extinguisher, a small block of wood, and you can fit other stuff in there that I had in one of my compartments behind the driver seats like $80 worth of money.
Matt: The retired CPA (tax preparer) in me is coming out. First I have to say I may be obsolete, but since you and Tim use your boats for your channel they should be business assets subject to depreciation, etc. It might help your tax savings even more by branding the boats with Tactical “wrap”. Your boats are a major expense and a crucial part of your brand so why not get the maximum tax savings possible. I have a feeling you and Tim are way ahead of me on this so thanks for your patience. Have a great year. Be safe! God Bless.
Man I am just trying to get a bass tracker lol. Congratulations my favorite part is the color of all things lol. Thanks for all the videos you guys have helped me as an angler.
I really did too. It was a little too much red on the exterior for my fishing platform... I have a lot of weird theories about boat color and fish behavior. 🤷♂️
Beautiful boat, love the channel learned so much from you guys. And you guys have so much passion for tackle and bass fishing all around, would be great to see some tackle warehouse coupon codes 😃
Thats awesome! I'm glad youve been able to make a really good living doing what you love! That's truely a blessing. We just gotta get you to stop talkin about Karashi's. 😂😂 As an old Champion employee, I'm glad she's still got a home at your place as well.
Power pole charge by far is the best thing you can put in the boat. Nothing wrong with the Minn Kota precision. Less issues if on the road and can not plug in
Congratulations, too bad you can't ever do this with a Mtn Home CHAMPION Elite 223... I fished as co-angler in my first SKEETER Zxr19 this past weekend. Great storage for me. The ride was good. The lake was not 2 & 3 footers, 25-30 mph winds. The boat was quick, too.
Like the boat setup. I always thought for years that the long rod box should be in front of the driver(starboard)and the short rod box with a day box should be on the port side. Don’t know why boat builders haven’t done this for better balance of the boat, other than the console being slightly in the way.
Awesome set up! I like the dedicated electronics battery. Quick question, if you're running factory wiring, could you run a dedicated 16V battery to get a stronger input signal to the electronics since they're rated up to 20VDC input? In theory it would more than compensate for any voltage drop due to factory wiring and give you >12V at the unit providing a more clear image.
Good for both of you guys. You might not be tournament anglers but you both fish hard and need your gear to work, I just hope my tracker 175 txw. My first boat, and it will be filled with tb gear, burn burn pause. , 🔥
Congratulations sir! You guys deserve it as the most informative bass fishing channel on this platform. My only wish is that you could do it on another platform that isn’t pure evil. lol. When you want to go on a real boat please come down to Florida. 😂
That’s awesome Matt, congratulations on your successes that’s brought you guys to where you’re at. Thanks for all the info, I give TB major credit for a lot of my bass fishing knowledge.

I'm so glad you guys made a purchase that you're both VERY deserving of. You owed this to yourselves.
Thanks!!

I love my Skeeter Yamaha fxr20
Beautiful boat matt!! All these years of helping and teaching us to become better fishermen, you guys earned it.
I'm so proud of you Matt and so stoked about your new ride!
Congrats on the new boat!! Just picked up my first "NEW" boat this season too!! Awesome Stuff!!!
I’m proud beyond words for you Matt, and you deserve every bit of what you have and absolutely love your boat,CONGRATULATIONS 🎊🎉 buddy ❤
Congratulations on the new boat!!!!🎉🚤
Thank you!!
Matt, that is an absolute beauty of a boat ❤
Thank you David!
I wanna see the full restoration of your champ and Tim’s champ! You guys will have the ultimate lineup of bass boats after that.
Man I love seeing this. You guys started off where most of us do and have worked to get what you want! Congratulations!! 🎉🎉🎉
Congrats on an awesome whip of a bass boat! I would love a bass boat but not in the cards in this point in my family life. HAHA An Aluminum Fish and Ski boat rigged like a bass boat is my deal for now. Can't wait to see Tim's video next! Congrats again.

I'd love to hear you explain how you decided on a Skeeter and the pros and cons you see between all the boat brands.
Congratulations on your new boat. I’m sure many bass will be hauled into that awesome looking boat. Have fun!
Thanks Jim! We'll do our best to load it with big ones 🙂
Those Buzbe cubes are awesome. You can pile a ton in them
Congrats on the new boat! So much critical info in this video that people never think about...its awesome. Nice job Matt, great video...when you're ready to offload that champion... Congrats Matt! You didn’t mention it, but I know you love those seats!
I switched to a new Skeeter 2 years ago and couldn’t be happier!
Congrats on the new boat. You and Tim are great examples of what hard work can get you in life. Enjoy the new boat. 🛶
Awesome boat. I'm close enough to Dayton that once I make the decision to purchase a boat, I'll have those guys set me up right. Congrats.

Ill be ordering my new one in a couple weeks. I cant wait for a new 4 stroke, new trolling motor, and new graphs!!!! Congratulations!!!
Running the same model graphs is so important and will eliminate issues.
The field of view from the pilots seat is critical, watching the elite series tour I’m shocked at the limited view those guys have. Love your boat, I ran Skeeter for 12 years and before that Cajun. They are incredible rigs..

I always hit the like button at the beginning on the videos because y’all always deliver great content
That may be one of the best color patterns I've seen on an FXR.
Congratulation on the purchase of the best boat out there.
CONGRATS!! I appreciate both you guys…your videos are AWESOME!!! 😃🫶🏽🇺🇸
Thank you!!
Sweet boat, Matt! Can't wait to see it being used. Thanks for the tour.

Awesome setup! Glad you have this platform ( the boat, not youtube :P ) to help teach and promote bass fishing!
Congrats bro. I just brought my first bass boat. A skeeter zx225 and I’m in love. 😂😂
Congratulations on your new ride. I'm glad you like it.

Living my dream. Thats super awesome and can’t wait to watch y’all break them in right 😏😎
Congrats on your new boat boss man
I'm jealous! Congrats on the new boat.
Thank you!!

Beautiful boat Matt. Hennessey does a great job.
I like everything from Yamaha. Even my home theater amp is Yamaha

It’s crazy how much bass boats have changed over the years
Congratulations... You and Tim definitely deserve it. Hard work pays off. 🙌🙌🙌
Beautiful boat! I really did like the matte gray on you and Tim’s last boats, too.
I really did too. It was a little too much red on the exterior for my fishing platform... I have a lot of weird theories about boat color and fish behavior. 🤷♂️
Very nice boat! Looking forward to seeing what you catch on this rig!
Congrats on the new boats!!!
I have the same boat but white and black. Love it
I can also highly recommend Hennessy mounts. Rock solid and adjustable in every way. Dibbs on that boat when you change next year😜
Blows my mind the setups required to be a serious bass fisherman, and this is a tame one in terms of graphs. Congrats
Got two Yamaha 250’s on millertech lithium starters since 2020 no problems ever
Beautiful boat, I have a 10’ pelican bass raider nxt 😂
Does the job it’s pure pleasure for me to just be off the banks.
I like you this year's Bass pro I like how you wanted it for detail that is so sweet you did a good idea
Very nice boat congratulations.
Dream rig matt. Yall deserve it
Thank you so much!
Long live the king well done boys you've created the best life
Man since your changing so regular, I’ll love to take a shot on your boat because that’s the same layout I was looking to run
Beautiful boat, love the channel learned so much from you guys. And you guys have so much passion for tackle and bass fishing all around, would be great to see some tackle warehouse coupon codes 😃
Awesome boat! This is my dream set up 😂 Very nice
Set up nice with Live to spot light aka video game bass!
You earned it Matt.
I appreciate that, thank you.
Thats awesome! I'm glad youve been able to make a really good living doing what you love! That's truely a blessing.
We just gotta get you to stop talkin about Karashi's. 😂😂
As an old Champion employee, I'm glad she's still got a home at your place as well.

Nice boat dude

Ooooh! So jealous! A tornado ate my boat back in Dec...
Congratulations. Enjoy to the max.
Very Nice Matt Enjoy Thanks For All the Help
Good for both of you guys. You might not be tournament anglers but you both fish hard and need your gear to work, I just hope my tracker 175 txw. My first boat, and it will be filled with tb gear, burn burn pause. , 🔥
Nice rig Matt. Congrats ✌️
Congratulations Matt!! Lookin good
Very nice rig brother. Best of luck with it.
The colors on this boat are beautiful. Makes me want to trade my skeeter for a new one 😂
Congratulations. Beautiful boat man.
Great looking Champion!
Congratulations sir! You guys deserve it as the most informative bass fishing channel on this platform. My only wish is that you could do it on another platform that isn’t pure evil. lol. When you want to go on a real boat please come down to Florida. 😂
Sweet rig congratulations 🎊
You got my dream boat. Congrats
Thank you Bruce!
Great looking ride Matt.
That’s awesome Matt, congratulations on your successes that’s brought you guys to where you’re at. Thanks for all the info, I give TB major credit for a lot of my bass fishing knowledge.
