Kit, have you ever thought about making some short PSA-like videos targeted for potential victims of these scams? Like, a 5-10 min video and break down the step by step of these scams. One video for Refund scams, another for Social Security, etc. Because, while your regular videos are great and hilarious to watch and share, they're not practical to show to a person 'in the moment'. The ultimate goal being, if a cashier or store manager suspects a person being a victim of a scam, instead of trying to explain to the person they're being scammed and that person possibly not listening, they can easily just pull up your video and basically see everything that has happened to them up till that moment. Idk, it's just something I've been thinking about while digging into your back catalog. You joke during your videos about the Warning signs being up in gift card sections at stores, and at a lot of stores, they actually are. How cool would it be if a store with those signs up also had a QR code that would link to your PSA videos right then and there? Something to consider.
I would love to know the statistics on percentage of people scammed by these "typical" scams before and after pandemic lockdown.. the numbers of people watching really jumped in 2020. I would hope these scams are working far less now than prior years .. thanks to scambaiters entertaining and teaching us each and everything.
