  • This 1976 FJ40 Resto-mod features lots of PRLC goodies, and a few different features we aren't used to doing. And, there's a plot twist. Since the filming of this episode, we've decided to change the Cruiser drastically. Can you guess what's in store?
Plus, there's "stop its", tech tips, and a new 3D part that's now available on our on line store! Check it out!

Love that retro surf green landcruiser. One of the best builds and episodes Ive seen on this channel. I cant think of any better shop to restore and engineer a vintage landcruiser. I wish Jeremiah would partner wity Toyota to reissue these old landcruisers but with a longer wheelbase. I believe its called Fj44 when a 40 is stretched out but could be mistaken. Keep up the great work Jeremiah.

Jeremiah, quick question: 74 fj40 pre load for a 15”wheel with 31x10.5 tire?

Where do you get your Cross flow radiators for the FJ-40's?

We get our radiators from several different manufacturers. If we need a really high end radiator, we get them from Radiator Supply House. "Be Cool" Otherwise, we get the from Griffin or Dewitt.

I wish I had that shifter in my 60 then maybe it wouldn't have gotten stolen. Of course it would have needed an automatic too. I thought a manual tranny would be a deterrent but unfortunately, no.

      It's custom made in house.

@@procruiserthat answered my question too. My best guess was “Sea Foam” which was a color only on the 1970 fj40 only the one year. Memorable because Sea Foam is a close match to the color in use by border patrol for years.

Jeremiah, love your tech tip videos, keep them going. I bought a fj40 new, it’s a 74, when I parked it last it had over 408k on it, 20 years ago. I’m a little older now but this project is bringing back all the fun years I had with it. I do want to replace the brakes with disc’s on all 4’s. So I’m replacing them with a JT Outfitters kit (GM calipers). Question: is a 3.75 back space what I need in the 15” wheel to clear the caliper. Thanks for any info you can help me with.

Hi Terry. What a cool story. You and your cruiser must be old friends for sure. We don't use the JT kit in the front in favor of OEM disc brakes., but I bet most 15" wheels with a 3.75" backspace will clear them. We do use the JT style brackets and calipers in the rear and 3.75 wheels clear.

Jeremiah, thanks for getting back. Going through the whole front end, knuckle, axel, differential right now, than the rear. Again thanks for get back.
