That water level was brutal. Jumped 90 min. Jumped again. Jumped again. 6.5 hrs for checkpoint alone. Respect earned for that suffering. I haven’t even seen the rest yet, just saw this as the top comment at the time.
Watching that timer jump by 30, 60, 90 minute intervals hurt. You made me feel things watching this, and I admire your resolve, as I would have rage quit long before the 20 hour mark. Watching this was a more powerful emotional experience than most hundred million $ plus features.
How much faster would he have beaten it if he had so much as watched clear videos for the stages? I don’t mean save states I mean just watching it. Is that something he never does?

Why are there not 10 000 more checkpoint in this hack. I think it is made to be played by a hand full of SMW champions to make content. Really like the creativity and effort that goes into making levels like this. Very difficult to make a lot good and hard challenges and it is what makes the whole thing that entertaining.. or good content! But why do people think it feels the best when a level takes 3 hours of try and error by the absolute best players. I blame no one to just quite this without using savestate..

There's something I can appreciate about Barb calling it the "infamous" Casio Water level. Like sure, there's a reason for calling it Casio Water, but the affirmation kind of elevates the struggle that is to follow.
After the lightning that could kill you would strike (you could tell via sfx), for a frame or two lightning that can’t kill you would strike to reveal where the next lightning that could kill you would be.
In the third phase, the lightning is immediately followed by the tell for the next lightning strike. It makes it really hard to catch especially when it's in almost the same spot.
I don't know if Barb actually likes death metal or if he's just trolling people who are like "why don't you listen to the casio music, the casio music is good"
Metalcore or symphonic something or other. All the clean vocals and chugga chuggas are indicative of not traditional death metal. I realize people hate when stuff like this is said, but listen to something like Graves of the Fathers by Cryptopsy. That's traditional death metal and has a very different feel to what Barb is listening to (if you aren't a metal fan you may not be able to hear the difference.) Categorization serves a purpose and I'm just calling out the misapplication of a category. I'm not saying what Barb is playing is bad or that he, or you, shouldn't enjoy it.
Good lord. Even with the playtime dramatically edited down for youtube I feel like I need to call the police to arrest that water level. If there's a SMW Level Jail it needs to go there. Guilty of war crimes against humanity.

Man the fact the boss's jump attack just kills you if youre over her with 0 warning is so dumb. You have no time to decide if you should jump on her or not, you just die. It's literally her only attack with no windup, I think because in the game its ripped from the jump IS the windup.
Does anyone know what metal songs are playing in these Casio videos? Shazam gave me nothing for some reason but all of those songs were bangers and I'd like to listen to them or check out the bands.

My support worker and I are playing Dark Souls at the moment and I said it a little like a turn based because you can’t just keep hitting the enemies you need too wait you’re turned if you know what I mean.
i watched thirdwall and katun play this when it came out, and right away it was apparent i would never enjoy this hack. unlike you, i do like the music in this hack. but good lord, these levels are just painful and the definition of rage inducing gameplay

Maybe I’m old too…but I didn’t see the tell in the boss’s 3rd phase. Not at all. She’s completely still. Not sure where else to look.
