I love this scene so much. PBG's acting is sooo good. His eyes contain complicated feeling and when a tear drop, it can tell how much it hurt to hold that love for himself in such a long time.
I think Taek cried because he didn't realize until in this scene that he was actually silently rejected by Deok Sun all those years ago when she denied the kiss. Deok Sun did liked him from back then but she chose their friendship over a possible fleeting crush. So in the end, the reason why nothing happened back then was because all three of them chose their friendship over love which is very telling of how much they all mean to each other. And I think Taek liked Deok Sun without any expectations of ever getting anywhere but Deok Sun was just waiting for the right time to tell him how she felt. And when she saw him at the concert, it was the green light that she needed to open her heart and tell him what she waited 5 years to tell him.
Deok Sun didn't tell Taek because she felt scared that Taek only kissed her because he's "high" on sleeping pills. She was afraid that if she tells the truth and Taek didn't really mean to kiss her, there will be a crack in their friendship (awkwardness) and they wouldn't be the same anymore. Her belief was solidified when Taek muttered "what a relief..." when they had a conversation the next morning.
a lot of viewers seem to miss the progression of TK's character and thus cannot accept that DS chooses him in the end. She has always placed TK in a special corner in her heart, from the first day they met in childhood.
Nishat Chill. She's not stopping you from having an opinion. The problem comes with people thinking that there was no development with Taek and Deoksun. There was, but viewers either didn't see, brushed it off, or just straight up ignored it in favor of their JH scenes.If you're not one of those people, then don't worry, I don't think she was talking about you.
Deoksun liked Taek on her own. It was HER choice. Not for the sake of liking someone whom she thought would like her back. Her feelings blossomed without any of the usual My-Friends-Think-You-Like-Me-so-Let's-Give-it a-Shot ingredients from the earlier episodes. And that's what gives her realization of these new-found feelings more ooomph. Now if that's not clever writing and character development, I don't know what is. Nice work, Writer-nim! :)
Correct!! Theyre just too focus in their ship that sunked,,but i hope the writer and pd extends it and elaborate what happen to each of them,,like whats their friends reaction when they found out about taek and dukseon dating,,if junghwan met sum1,,and doryong,,,,after they left ssamumdong,,
I really like this drama! The story between Taek and Deok Sun is just too cute and goes way back their childhood. The way they care for each other and how they smile when they are around each other, is so cute! ^^

so that DREAM was REAL! I am so happy that it is. Taek's tear though... how many times do I have to see Bogum cry in this series? Maybe he will cry again tomorrow (because of happiness)

I would have been a little angry if it wasn't Taek she married at the end. I was so happy that they ended up together. This drama is so awesome i enjoyed every episode of it. The writer did a great job.

So let's say it's a clean slate 6 years later in 1994. The difference is that 1994 taek was braver than 1994 junghwan . He even confronted jung hwan in military, resigned from his baduk game. And 1994 deok sun is more clear with her feelings. Liking taek on her own. Although it was shown in a very subtle way Gosh i am 4 years late

DS realized that she should focus on who she liked instead of who likes her after Dong Ryong's advice; which means that she had liked Taek all along and not the other 2 boys. Even in her diary in ep 2, before her friends told her about Sun Woo; Bora found in her diary that she gave a chocolate to her crush. That was her OG crush minus any influence by friends, and older Deok Sun guarantees she gave it to Taek haha. That's why their first kiss made her so wary, unlike the other boys who she had a mere crush on; she couldn't stand losing Taek due to a misunderstanding like that (she had loved him all along so the stakes were too high)
