@@mrskitkatlady i think its what anybody would do, who bathes an elephant for the first time. They will have this preconceived idea that this is an animal like any other pets that they have interacted with and would treat the elephant as gently as they would any other pet.

I have been to kerala the food is seriously out of this world . The veg or non veg every thing is yummm but the people also make it with love so you can taste the love
I saw the cardamom and pepper plants for the first time. It seems like you've been to the cleanest restaurant that you could get in India. The local guide for you is great. Treating you with perfection as "Athidhi Devo Bhava". The elephant seems sad. :( I have never been to Kerala. @Roopa Saryu Listen well. Cruelty towards animals is something which the law should strictly deal with. In Kerala, human lives are not robbed away by mobs in the name of beef or mutton or potato. We Malayalees don't distinguish and discriminatepeople based on religion or caste. People are free to eat whatever they desire. There is a reason why human beings have canine teeth and a digestive system which can process meat. Even Dalai Lama eats meat after recommended by his doctor to keep his body healthy and alive. Learn to respect all living beings including human beings before you preach and unlade your superiority complex.

Come to Canada, Toronto its have lot of south indan ( Sri Lankan) restaurant ( mostly take out places) most of those dishes you can enjoy it( off course noth America version).
Where I live there are only 2 extremely mediocre Punjabi restaurants. I love Punjabi food don’t get me wrong but there are no South Indian food availability nearly. Closest Kerala style restaurant is a good 12 hr drive from where I live…also very hard to find any ingredients to cook the food in my city. Only one Indian store and they never have curry leaves even, its mainly north Indian products. Your videos make me crave this food so much… string hoppers are my absolute favorite
Although now a days, people don't like animals in captivity but if some people still keeping them in chains then that would be best to male them as comfortable as possible.
David , how many American restaurants give you opportunity to make food in their kitchen ? This is Kerala ,that why you got a chance. I am living in Chicago and I never get a chance to visit their kitchen.

Not really. These are domesticated elephants. They are treated very well and are happy. Elephants are intelligent and communal animals. So they have a good relationship with humans.
capturing elephants from forests are banned in India since the 70's. What you see are either born in captivity ( which cannot be send into the wild, they cannot survive) or the ones that are under rehabs or cant be send back to the forests anymore. The best we can do for these animals are take good care of then like you saw here..
@@dhanyajoel3038 yup. I m also talking about idiyappam only. Idiyappam is so famous in southern districts of Tamilnadu. It is available in Odisha and assam too... It is made of rice flour. Very thin strings and soft. We used to eat with sweet coconut milk and in Nagercoil and Kaniyakumari it is eaten with coconut sodhi...
Rajkumar It came basically from kerala, and nagercovil is a place in Kanykumari only where almost 40 percent of population are keralites and also kerala border definitely it will be found there. And assam it is a new knowledge,iam not sure what you are speaking is right or wrong.Anyway iam not interested in more discussion
He has mentioned several times that he visited Kerala in January. Otherwise how do you think he could travel around like this during this lockdown period in Kerala. Have come common sense, dude..
I was in Kerala tourism for 7 years and I've seen that usually foreigners don't encourage or participate in such activities... It's usually the dumb North Indian tourists
I guess street food variety is bigger in Mumbai. But Kerala us neat and do come to Calicut or Kozhikode after lockdown. You might like it's neatness and food.

Don't think the guy scrubbing it hard, hurt the elephant. Their skin is extremely thick, so she barely felt it.

Idiyappam also known as Noolappam (Thread appam) in central Kerala, that is the correct meaning. Ebbin try to explain everything.

The elephant that you saw was at a sanctuary. So, they are happier than a wild elephant coz they get better food and are free.
