@@kevinl3875 Yeah! People who think that your cat only cares about you feeding them and doesn't enjoy you or your company either never had a cat or they are terrible owners, lol!
@@kevinl3875natural explanation. How do you feel when you wake up hungry? Most likely grumpy or in a bad mood until you grt food. We release happiness hormones when we feel well fed. So for the cat biologically its the same. Cat get food? Okay happy time. Its really that simple c:
@godnyx117 I was joking lol. I'll leave you with this, though. If you die and your pet has no way of escaping or eating, dogs will wait about a week before resorting to your corpse. Cats though? You get 24 hours on average, maybe even 48 if Mr. Whiskers loved you lots. (I'm totally stirring the pot, so if you can't see that and get mad it's your fault)
My cats ever so sweetly checks on me a few times a night by starting zoomie sessions and proceed to land on me 2-3x each night to make sure I’m still breathing by knocking the wind out of me… I feel so loved and cared for… 😻
Nah, my cat just wants food. He leads me to his dish every morning. And if I don't follow him right away he runs back up to get me until I do follow him.
Yup same here lol. Although we used to get woken up by our older cat licking our arms or face, or nuzzling us. Sometimes our younger cat does this.. But she is so much smarter... She'll paw at you now if you don't wake up or... She will climb up and attack my tissue box. 🤣😩
Do you feed as SOON as you wake up? This may be why. If you adjust feeding time to be a bit After you get up and say, have your coffee, then the cat will adjust to that habit. They will get used to you making your smelly drink, then know hey its grub time. My cats know exactly when its feed time, they all congregate in the kitchen area around the same times every day. If im not in there doing the duty, then one or more of them come and make sure I know im forgetting something.
Some of them check for your breath by putting their paw under your nose to feel the breath and accidentally boop your nose sometimes. Others just stare at you until they see you breathe or move. And some just chose to rest on your chest where they can feel your breath and heartbeat.
Fun fact. If a cat catches a mouse or bird and howls at you til you acknowledge them they actually aren't just wanting praise/attention it's actually them thinking they are bringing you food.
One time I had left my window open and left the room to play video games and my cat brought me 5 dead mice and a headless rabbit all arranged in a neat line behind where I was sitting. I didn’t even hear her because I was wearing a headset. It was quite a surprise when I noticed lol.
My cat has that horrified expression on his face everytime I wake up, it’s as if he is asking himself “you are alive? Are you the same person from yesterday?”
This is adorable. Plus, cats also try to protect you if they know your sick. I had the flu a few days ago and my cat just refused to leave me alone after my mom and brother left the house. She followed me everywhere and was constantly staring at me and making sure I was safe. She only toned down the worry after there were trustworthy people present again. I fucking love cats so much.
I used to live in a basement apt. The bedroom window was right where people would pass on the sidewalk, or come down the stairs to the foyer for my and other's apts. She glare out the window and growl when we were in bed together during the day... Then when I'd come home from work she'd meow at me and walk to the bedroom, looking over her shoulder at me, as if asking, "So, you wanna?..."
I had 3 cats, one of them loved me, one cared about me, and one "accepted" me, but only me. So the third one was okay if i pet it, but otherwise was on her own most time. When i had a pretty hard depression back then, all of them, especially the third cat would not leave me, meow at me and crawl all over me, just to make me happy. They really know your feelings and care about them, even if not everyone of them shows it all the time. Cats are best. I loved them so much, i spent my last cents on cat food, even if i had no human food 😆
@@zerosixteen9433 you are so sweet and I am so happy that they are with you! (Also, I forget to get myself food from the shop and realize at home that all I got is for my cat xd)
I had to take of my family's cat once alone, but fell badly ill to the point I was puking almost all day. I couldn't even feed her for nearly 12 hours, maybe even more, but she sat next to me the whole time and didn't really bother me. She seemed to understand I was sick. It's funny too cuz she was a very fat cat that routinely complained about food, but not that day.
Yes, mine is also very polite about the "sleeping time". He patiently waits me to get up. Only time tha he has waken me up during the night is in an emegency...read: when he has gotten soaking wet from the rain outside and needs emergency drying with a kitchen towel LOL 🤣🤣🤣 He was soaking wet to the skin so I felt he had a point. (And he did not get flue afterwards which saved me from vet bills etc.)
I know this is negative, but I must say it because it’s a fact. Cats will devour your corpse if god forbid you pass away and they don’t have any food to eat. I suppose part of me will live on?
Mine too! And she'll wrap her tail around my neck as tight as she can. I'll either choke if I turn away or I'm forced to face the chocolate starfish! 🤢 Then she has the nerve to demand breakfast! That's OK, my golden retriever got her back the other day. She was spazzing out and went into foot attack mode. My dog sat on her until she chilled out! Shouldn’t sleep all day. Also if your cat gets sick they’ll be lethargic which means no, wakey wakey. Also to make them eat so they don’t die of their body eating off it’s fat, get a sirenge or how ever you spell that, and wet food for cats take the the gravy in the sirenge spelling is still a mystery and squirt it down their throat.
I can confirm that cats really do care, when I was little I got really hurt and I had to get stitches. My cat realized this and wouldn't leave my side, even when I was asleep.
My older sister's cat, Lulu, was there for me the day after I lost my first cat, Graystripe. Lulu was a slightly timid cat and it took her time to warm up to me or, to just know that I was okay and that I wasn't going to hurt her. I had been staying with my sister sometimes for a month so she got to know me. For awhile I could only go to her and pet her in the morning in the kitchen. The day after I lost Graystripe, Lulu followed me into my bedroom after our morning hello and stayed with me all day. She became my buddy from that day on. So yeah, I too, can confirm that cats really do care. Lulu's company was just what I needed after going through my loss. The best nurse that ever had and never needed to pay.
Yes... i think they know when we feel either physical or emotional pain... I realized that whenever I cry, both my cats will lay around me... they won't leave until I stop crying. They're like therapy cats 😂🥰
My Siamese cat used to check on me in the night by opening the door slightly, and inmediately leaving. She was grumpy with everyone in the house, but not with me. Because she knew me when I was a toddler, I think that she believed herself to be my mother. She did that every night until she passed away. I love cats :')
Mine sleeps in another room but every morning, he eats around 6 am and then proceeds to sleep with me or even watch me workout. And whenever he sleeps with me, he has to have a contact with me, like his body is touched with mine or his paws were on my back etc He is adorable to be honest

He helped me through my illness, He would gently walk up my chest in the morning and start purring in my face and alternate patting my eyelids very gently. As if he was knocking on my eyes, because they were closed. He was saying hey, open up. When I did, the look of mischief in his eyes was a delight. I still owe him so much.

And if the prey is still alive then the cat just trying to teach you how to hunt. Just like mama cats do for their kittens ☺

Mine used to get me up at 6am every morning, except weekends, and make me go to be at 9:30pm every day, except for weekends.

I know this is true. My house kitty stayed with me constantly through an illness. He purred a lot and stayed so close.
