@@RoaminLama thanks to you, I biked the whole gravel Main Stem today! Started at Elmhurst by Wild Meadows Park (just near 294) and stopped at Mile 0 by the Elgin trail. 20 miles total I believe. I’m feeling very accomplished!

Congrats on your ride. That is why I do these, show the trail before people attempt the trail so you know what you're in for. Thanks again for watching and keep biking!

Looks like a really nice trail. I need to check this trail out at some point. I already rode 5K miles in Florida, it's time to get out and explore other states trail systems. Thanks for sharing 👍😊

I live in Villa park and I think the path is Beautiful where I am. I have biked to Wheaton and Bellwood is the farthest I’ve gone

I think Glen Ellyn, Villa Park and Elmhurst are the nicest parts of this branch. All other areas have way too many road crossings.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks so much for making these amazing videos. Just started biking the Prairie Path and I wondered about the different routes, you videos of all the routes/spurs really helped! I live in Glen Ellyn, so have mostly just done the main branch to Lombard/Wheaton so far, looking to branch out farther to Geneva and Elmhurst soon. Watching the Geneva video made it seem not so easy to get there, but you said there are plenty of signs. Which route would you say is the most scenic? Thanks so much.

First, thanks for watching and for your kind words. I'd have to say the most scenic is the Elgin branch. It's the most forested of the bunch and feels the least suburban sprawl. I also appreciate shade on a long ride. But, that said, they all have a unique personality and are all an enjoyable ride.

Looks Boring to many street crossings

I wouldn't go as far to say boring. It does have it's nice sections particularly west of 294. But, yes way too many road crossings. I live in Glen Ellyn, so I use it to get to the other branches where the trails go through forest preserves and are far less "urban/suburban".

Don't fall asleep though, you'll get run over at one of the many street crossings. And, I agree, the Elgin and Aurora branches are a more enjoyable ride.
