Nobody can stop the buses, there will be all sorts of people saying the migrants have a right to go to any city. The only way is to secure the border and we know how that’s going. If all the free resources were stopped it might deter some, but again that would take elected officials doing their job.

I didn't vote for Brandon but Chicagoans did vote for Republican Bruce Rauner in 2014 for governor. And he made us a Sanctuary *State* w/o our permission, he also froze the state budget which caused daycares to close & left single mothers w nowhere to turn for their kids bc he withheld the childcare initiative grants for childcare. And he really didn't do anything substantial for the state or city for all 4 of his years in office.🤦🏾♀️ I really don't think either political party cares abt the city or it's residents.

Not every one there voted for that. Its getting old now. Doubt Chicagoans knew Brandon would turn out this way because he did not present himself this way during his campaign. Actually how this works is that the majority votes in their mayor and other elected officials in a given state and everyone suffers the consequences of those actions. I do not live in a sanctuary city or state and would move if I did. They absolutely did this to themselves. This woman not only campaigned for him but admits she voted for him and now she is crying about the consequences of her vote because he supports illegal immigrants and the city being a sanctuary city. Get real!!! Advocate against this behavior because everyone will suffer if this influx continues unchecked. It is only fair that the cities and states who condone this should suffer the same consequences that border cities and states have suffered under this administration’s unchecked policies.
