Man I pray 🙏 they can overcome this. I visited Chicago in 2010 and the first thing I seen was a woman taking a pee in the middle of the street. The second thing I seen was a old man pushing a mattress on top of a grocery basket. I realized then they had a lot of issues. I hope they just go red that stuff will be cleaned up in months.

Good synopsis of big, predominantly *Blue* cities. I left California in 2020 because the big cities became unrecognizable & unsafe thanks to stupid political, asinine decision-making. Governor Newsom & his ilk falsely believe only housing will fix California’s massive homeless crisis. What’s needed is treatment for addictions and mental health BEFORE offering free or subsidized housing! My new Southern city is clean & safe. Private donations built 36 solar powered, tiny homes for homeless who contribute a small amount of money each month ($300) and agree to remain clean & sober, follow the community rules! No HUD money was used because they require one year leases! Our tiny solar community wants it known that their “forever” homes can be taken away if they don’t comply with the community rules. They can drink alcohol or smoke inside their homes in moderation. As long as it doesn’t turn into addiction & public intoxication. Rules matter! Without them you get San Francisco, Portland and literally other “craphole” cities few want to visit, live there, and support!
Me like most people that live in Illinois, we don’t go to Chicago unless it’s absolutely necessary. It’s too dangerous because the crime is too high. They need to fix the crime first before they turn it into a sanctuary city. But they won’t because if they did, it would put a national spotlight on the crime situation. They don’t want that to be the focus. They would rather be known as a giant “safe haven” for people here illegally. Did you know that the majority of the tax dollars in Illinois goes to support Chicago and its sanctuary city policies. I pay for a Family medical plan through my employer and it will cost me $520.00 per month effective in JAN 2024. Make above the margin to receive any type of assistance and no choice but to get coverage as it is important to my family. Yet, I have an acquaintance who does not report their income, got into an accident and required medical attention. Guess what? Qualified for Obamacare and now it is all free for them! 😮. Questioning my life decisions right now. 😂
