@@YungMustard Hassan Whiteside is definitely not a bad defender. He's definitely not elite or anything, but he still does average 3.1 blocks and he is top 20 in defensive win shares. Besides, they don't have any good defenders. Rodney Hood, Nurkic, Aminu, and Harkless were/are all good to very good defenders that carried their defense last year. The latter of the two left in free agency, and as he mentioned Hood and Nurkic are injured. Although, Nurkic is healthy by now as he was expected to make a late March or early April return.
Literally all of Luka’s weak points are things that can be attributed to his age and experience. If his defense, shot selection and free throw percentage aren’t improved by the time he’s 25, then we can talk about them being an actual problem. Great video though!

Dame went from underrated to overrated in one playoff run. Yea he beat the thunder, which is not saying much, but he got swept by a KD-less warriors in that same playoffs and now he didn't even make the playoffs this year
Mr.E Well to be fair the warriors are strong enough without KD. Especially when Curry goes off for 36 points on 47% and 46% shooting splits with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Hell Klay shot 38% and 34%. However due to Curry's impact virtually the entire team except for Klay shot above 50% with Livingston and Looney together recording 62 points on 80% shooting. This was just yet another all time performance, from yes, yet again another underrated player in Curry, who had multiple of these performances, even though it rarely gets mentioned.
Luka doesn’t have that many holes on his game, he is an average defender not a liability watch the games. And his shot selection isn’t bad it’s just he has such a heavy load to carry the mavericks want him to take more shots. His FT percentage isn’t great but he’s not an amazing shooter anyways(32% from 3) so it’s not expected. He doesn’t have to be a lights out shooter or change his shot selection because he does what is asked of him

Well, I honestly believe Luka's defensive problems come partially from his lack of effort on that end. If you try hard, you can find some of his defensive highlights when he played for Real Madrid. He actually did try hard sometimes. My idea is that in playoffs he might become a better defender just by trying harder. He is big and can stay in-front of many players.

Dame is my favorite player and i agree with you. Luka doncic is just more versatile, better team player and better decision maker. If i had to pick 1 player to start off a franchise right now it would be Luka doncic. When he was winning Euroleague he actually became a monster in playoffs, was more clutch and a better player(even defensively) in the most critical stages of the tournament. So I believe Luka can shine in NBA playoffs as well.

I love players like Dame!!! He's coldness, competitiveness and fearless when taking buzzer beater shots. I am one of the most die hard luka fans there is, but i do believe dame is ever so slightly better right now, but just barely, and that will change very soon.
Not really the best comparison to be honest. Dame Dolla has most likely reached his peak and we're not really getting anymore out of him. Luka is only 20 years and is already a solidified MVP candidate. His ceiling is 10x higher than Lillard's and he's not even in his prime yet. You can make the argument that Dame has more longevity and playoff success but we haven't even seen Luka in a playoff series yet. Luka is definitely the better player but I would've liked to see a comparison video of Dame to like Harden or Westbrook.

Vs Dame it’s 0.9 (how ironic) which is in the range of CP3, Josh Okogie, TJ Warren, BI and actually a better defensive rating than Marc Gasol. Dame was the point guard who was top 5 in minutes on a team that was top 6 on defense showing that injuries and sometimes having 7 players available played a MASSIVE role in the Blazers’ horrendous defensive stats this season. Luka is playing with house money dude is already a basketball hall of famer. Lillard is just Steph Curry/Westbrook hybrid player with less help in his career than both of those guys. Luka has never played a playoff game so dame has more experience. When healthy the Mavs are a better team then Portland. Portland is in a bad position where they are out of the playoff picture and they are far from the lottery. The west will become more stacked in the future and Luka will get more experience while Portland will miss more playoffs. This is what happens when Players decide to team up and all the NBA championship leaders decide to move west. Every game will feel like a playoff game. Portland also has very little cap space to improve which is why they had to give up players like Seth Curry who is helping the Mavs improve.

I am one of the most die hard luka fans there is, but i do believe dame is ever so slightly better right now, but just barely, and that will change very soon.
Not really the best comparison to be honest. Dame Dolla has most likely reached his peak and we're not really getting anymore out of him. Luka is only 20 years and is already a solidified MVP candidate. His ceiling is 10x higher than Lillard's and he's not even in his prime yet. You can make the argument that Dame has more longevity and playoff success but we haven't even seen Luka in a playoff series yet. Luka is definitely the better player but I would've liked to see a comparison video of Dame to like Harden or Westbrook.

Dame was the point guard who was top 5 in minutes on a team that was top 6 on defense showing that injuries and sometimes having 7 players available played a MASSIVE role in the Blazers’ horrendous defensive stats this season. Luka has never played a playoff game so dame has more experience. When healthy the Mavs are a better team then Portland. Portland is in a bad position where they are out of the playoff picture and they are far from the lottery. The west will become more stacked in the future and Luka will get more experience while Portland will miss more playoffs. This is what happens when Players decide to team up and all the NBA championship leaders decide to move west. Every game will feel like a playoff game. Portland also has very little cap space to improve which is why they had to give up players like Seth Curry who is helping the Mavs improve.
