I own this guitar since 6 years and it is incredible. I could not be happier with it, beautiful sound, very stable tuning, very good aswell. I can definitely recommend this guitar!
I’m a uTuber here relating my experiences with color association with the musical notes. My main instrument is piano, but I play a bit of guitar because I enjoy singing with accompaniment. When I first picked up a classical guitar I was amazed at the intimacy I had with. A warmth that I did not get from a steel-string guitar. And it instantly changed my the way I played. I am happy to have found this review, because I was looking for the right classical guitar. The heightened bass of this instrument (I’m hearing it on my studio monitor speakers) made the sale for me. I’m driving 3 hours to Santa Fe to get it as a Craigslist find! // Thank you, Flourentin! - _The Acoustic Rabbit Hole_
Wonderful review, and even better playing my friend. I've owned my C7 for 4 years, and absolutely love it. I do believe that it's the most guitar you can get for the money. BTW, I run Ernie Ball Ernesto Palla ball end strings medium tension, and they sound great. Plus it saves me from having to tie them on when in a hurry. Again, Wonderful review and amazing playing.
Thank you for being one of the VERY FEW people who pronounce “Cordoba” correctly. I have the Fusion 12 Orchestra CE spruce guitar and love that as well.
Thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these. I’m mainly a steel string player, but after years of rock, blues, and folk, I’m getting into classical. Is this a solid choice for my first nylon string?
Hi. After seeing this and other reviews i got myself a brand new C7 with ceder top. I have a question. After i came home and played a lil on my new guitar i felt like the action is too high. 4mm on high E and 4.5mm on low E. I looked at the saddle and there is very little saddle left. I this normal? Im thinking there is something wrong with the one i got and i'm definitely bringing it back to the shop for a replacement or money back. There is max 1mm sticking up over the bridge on the high side. Is it normal that there is almost no saddle left on a new guitar? I know yours is a spruce and mine is ceder :)
In ur opinion how does the Solista compare with the c-9 and 10 ? I have heard both good and bad reviews about these Spanish made guitars vs the Chinese imports . Curious to hear ur opinions. cheers !
To be honest, I never liked the Solista. I played a couple different ones and I also bought one a few years back. I returned it in a day. They seemed very dry to me and quite unresponsive. I would take a C12, C10, C9, C7, and almost even a C5 over a Solista. That may sound crazy but that is how I feel based on the ones I played so far.
That was an awesome review! And U play amazingly!!! I saw some other vids of yours and was blown away! Can u pls do a comparison vid for this c7 to the Cordoba 10 or higher? Thanks!
I just got one of these and my quality of life has drastically improved. with my old one, the intonation was wonky for any chords high up on the fretboard. I've always been skeptical of the word "rich" to describe tone, because... what does that even mean? nonetheless the first word i think of to describe the c7's tone is "rich".
Like#9 Nice to know that there are no cosmetic factory imperfections. The price seems pretty awesome and it plays nicely. Cheers to an awesome review!! =)
Hello , In my country there is a price difference of 400 dollars between cordoba c7 cedar and cordoba c9 cedar. I want to buy C9 but I am not sure if it is worth the price difference. Which one do you think I should buy? Thank you.
Hi sir! I envied you for having that one! Well, I have a question, I have a Cordoba Mini R (rosewood back and side, spruce on top) why does the boominess sound sometimes get weaker or not sound boomy at all, sometimes I could feel and hear it is there again, I don't understand, does the humidity of it matters? thanks, sir!
@@florentintise I have figured it out before you reply, Here in my country in the Philippines, the humidity is so high, it reached up to 70% so all I have to do is to buy a hard guitar case or insert a dehumidifier like silica gel along with my soft guitar case and it worked! But it would be more expensive maintenance unlike the opposite around like humidifier, you only need water.
I bought both a C5 and a C7 spruce tops. I definitely noticed a louder sound and better tone with the C7 as well as a nicer fret board. Funny things is that I think the C5 is so much prettier in looks with an almost white top. The C7's finish was also squeakier on my lap, but maybe the finish needs to wear a bit. Hope that helps.
@@florentintise ok I see, thanks for reply, I am between this one and yamaha cg192s, if it has a truss rod probably will go with this one. Did you try any yamaha cg series guitar?
The Yamaha is quite good. Hard to pick between Yamaha and Cordoba. The truss rod on the Cordoba might make the difference for you, especially if you are concerned with the action of the strings.
Florentin Tise thanks for the reply. I did have the C12 and liked the sound it was very responsive, but wasn’t impressed with the raised fingerboard which wasn’t really raised that much. I returned it to Sweetwater because it had a defect on the fretboard. Your video convinced me to get the C7 after much research, so thank you. Got it new for $425 with shipping. I figured I’ll wait till I have enough money to get a Master series or even a custom made luthier guitar when I want to upgrade.
@@notoriousb.i.g3451 idk if you bought one already but, cordoba is the best classical guitar brand and i have the c7 its extremely good quality soundwise and lookwise
The guitar looks nice but this is not the first time I hear a C7 with little projection on the trebles and poor sustain. Enhanced projection and sustain are trademarks of classical guitars with a solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The boomy bass is more typical of a cedar top guitar. My classical guitars, spruce and cedar tops, have very distinct sounds, but none is from Cordoba. The sound coming out of this C7 is odd, but it could be the recording equipment. I hope it sounds better on your side of the camera.

I play the C7. Great guitar for the money. Great review.
Thanks Florentin for the review. You got this guitar for a steal actually. I just bought a new one for the equivalent of 620 USD here in Canada 😊

Always take it to a Luthier, guitar teck and they will set it up perfect
Looking forward to your comparison of this and F7 Paco
Planning to do that soon.
Thanks!

I'm stuck between buying Cordoba C7 and Martinez 88c...
I have both the C7 and the F7 Paco. You can watch a comparison video here: th-cam.com/video/sWR15bCchzs/w-d-xo.html

Very helpful, thanks.
What is the best guitar brand?
I have a C7 cedar top it doesn't sound that good compared to my $120 Alvarez, I am surprised some people like it
does it have a high action?
Actually, the action is quite comfortable. Also, Cordoba classical guitars do come with a truss rod, so you can easily adjust the action if need be.
