The driver side on my es300 doesn’t blow heat but the passenger side dose. So would I only have to replace one of activators the one the drivers side ?

Helpful video. Where did you buy the new actuator for the driver's side of this vehicle? Thanks.

ironically there is no listing for the driver side it list the same part number as the passenger side even in the Lexus part catalog but there are different for the driver side which i ordered two because the part number was the same it did not fit the arm on the motor to move the door was on the opposite side i ended up opening up the motor to see if i could swap the arm to the other side but could not then tried to take the internal parts for the new and put in the housing of the old one but that would not work as well so i ended up greasing the old motor and the clicking stopped for the driver side and replaced passenger side

@@Kangol_Automotive great video. Very informative. My problem is the clicking noise when I start my car 03 ES300 for about 30 seconds to a minute then it stops and the AC will come on. On occasions when it clicks the passenger side will blow hot air if it's hot out. If the AC is on and I switch it to heat the driver side gets hot but the passenger side will stay cold with AC. Seems like the Actuator on the passenger side is the problem. I also want to make sure I order the correct OEM part. Any suggestions on how to handle this problem? Thanks!

@@jerrymebane7825 1st you need to verify where the clicking is coming from there are multiple actuators if youthe actuators if yours has dual AC there will be one temperature actuator on each side plus 1 for the fresh air defrost and floor Sometimes because they are clicking does not mean that they don't actually work but they just make noise The temperature actuators for each side are different but I can only find a listing for the passenger side All the listings I found said that both sides were the same but actually they are not I even looked on the Lexus parts catalog and it says the same thing The one on the Driver said I took a part and lubricated with silicone lubricant and the clicking stop

Good job, looks like your model car has more room to replace the actuators. I’m working to replace ac vent servo mode actuator.
But very little room to get my hands or screwdrivers in there. Frustrating.

No they are different but all parts catalogs say they are the same part but they are not even the Lexus parts catalog says it's the same part but it is not there is no listing I could find on the driver side
