This video is pushing towards 4 years old and this is the first I've ever heard of Samantha Brick. I'm not sure if I'm out of the loop, or just pretty good at avoiding pointless drivel.
I remember him from PC Zone back in the day. In fact he was the reason I bought the mag. His "Tech Support" phone calls (which were given away on the cover disk in about 1998) were things of legend.
Both are left-wing schmucks, especially John Oliver. Charlie Brooker is hilarious because he cuts through both sides of the political spectrum and laughs in the face of power. If you think Jon Stewart is similar, then I'll remind you about the pathetic episode where he had to apologize for being too flippant about the US senate election. The US has awesome TV, but their comedy will never rival British comedy.

This made me laugh out loud. I was expecting a Brooke Shields type beauty when I looked up Samantha Brick. She's pretty, but not what I expected. The criticism of the Daily Mail (once the vocal supporter of fascism) is spot on. The Daily Mail is vile.
A very funny comment about The Daily Mail made by Hugh Laurie in "A bit of Fry and Laurie" ......... "Well you know, you can call me Daily person .... I prefer it to a newspaper really" ...... :)
I loved how Brooker could barely disguise his contempt for Jimmy Carr throughout every episode of this program. I got the impression he really didn't like him or his comedy in the slightest.
+badgersgetabadname the canned laughter and chipper ITV style of the whole thing is really offputting. Feels like their material has all been pre-written and they have been told to keep to the script
Primo Styles That`s what it is it feels like its from a script. There is nothing wrong with scripted comedy just not in what I think is supposed to feel off the cuff. Loads of panel shows have a basic script then its up the the comics involved. I thought weekly wipe was superb.
Slave2PaperWithInkOn Jonathan pie is the most scripted thing I'v ever seen. He makes some good points but in the context of this comment I don't see how he's relevant?
