TRIP REPORT | Royal Brunei Airlines 787-8 | DUBAI - BRUNEI | Economy Class (Flight 2/3)

- TRIP REPORT of my Royal Brunei Airlines flight from Dubai to Brunei in Economy Class aboard their Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. This was my third flight that day - and my second flight on Royal Brunei. Having started the day in Berlin I already had a flight to London on British Airways ( • TRIP REPORT | British ... ) and after a long layover finally my first Royal Brunei flight from London to Dubai ( • TRIP REPORT | Royal Br... ). This is now flight 2 of 3 on Royal Brunei Airlines on my way to Melbourne, Australia.
The flight was quite empty with only 90 passengers onboard. I had the luxury of having three seats for myself which enabled me to get some good sleep. There were two meal services on this flight. One being Breakfast which was served shortly after departing from Dubai. The second one was just a little pizza snack which tasted really good though. The cabin is very modern and offers plenty of leg room and recline - the best i have seen so far in Economy Class! The flight time was around 7 hours and 30 minutes. Nice. Royal Brunei Airlines no longer stopped at Dubai (transit). It's a direct flight to and fro LHR-BWN. Connecting flights onwards Surabaya, Jakarta, Melbourne and Brisbane are great.

Sounds like you fly on RB quite often? Have you tried their Business Class (upgrade offer?)
PlaneSpottingBerlin ✈ Aviation Videos yes I've been on them a lot, 4 different trips to Melbourne which is quite a lot of flights I guess... Never upgraded but would love to next time! Probably on the way home as I'm generally more tired on than on the way so flat beds would be great.

I fully agree with 7:55 - that breakfast is a shame for any flight not touching the western hemisphere.... Did they offer anything more local? Did you consider ordering a special meal?

I don't remember if there was a choice but i don't think so. I ordered a special meal on the Brunei - Melbourne flight. The thing is you need to do it in advance and I wanted to share the "original" catering of RB.
